Galaxy S5 :: OK Google No Longer Working On Screen Lock?
Sep 27, 2015My OK Google has stopped responding when the screen is locked. If I say OK Google I get the beep I ask a question ex, "What is the current temperature" it beeps again but will not answer until I unlock the screen. I has worked great previously but for some reason it no longer will give me an answer until I unlock the screen.

Mar 16, 2015I may have stopped "google framwork services" last week, but I do not think this is related.Basically, my gmail app no longer gets push notifications or syncs automatically.I have android 5.0.1. nexus 5 and the latest gmail app versions. I have checked all settings in the app, and made sure that all my sync settings are enabled. I can see that the last sync of gmail was over 30 minutes ago, yet I've sent emails to my gmail account since then and they appear on the web version.The app won;t show new emails until I manually refresh within the app.
I googled a bit and saw that some people with a similar issue dod a "factory reset" to solve. that seems a bit extreme. Is there any other way around this. I've done all the usual things, cleared data in gmail app and forced stop and restarted phone.I even removed my google account and readded it. nothing worked.

Mar 5, 2014For the past couple of months, it's been fine, showing commute times and the weather where I'm at and stories related to searches, etc. But in the past couple of days, it has fallen apart, now saying 99% of the time that it has no cards for me at this time. Even after repeated weather requests, it won't pop a card for it unless I manually set one for home.
I've tried toggling it off and on; switching accounts; erasing stored data (which only wiped out all my home screens); nothing works but turning it off and on and opting in which beings up one set of news story cards which when swiped away never return. No stocks, no weather, no commute times, nada, nyet, nothing.
After uninstalling updates to Google Search - WARNING: This will reset all your homescreens to default, wiping out your folders, etc. - it seems to restore normal Now function. Just make sure to update Search to current before rebuilding your home screens otherwise you'll have to swipe from the beginning of your app list every time.
LG G4 :: Ok Google From Any Screen Not Working
Oct 27, 2015After the last at&t update my phone has been acting a little weird. One big thing that's really bothering me is that ok Google from any screen suddenly stopped working. I use this in my car all the time and it's an important feature of any phone for me so this it's unacceptable.
What happen is I have to actually open Google now for it to turn on, then it will work from any screen as it's supposed to. But as soon as my screen locks, it breaks. I unlock my screen and it's gone. It does not come back until I open Google now again. Once or twice it came back on its own after a long tone but it doesn't seem to do that anymore at all.

I installed a Screen Off app to save wear and tear on my power button. However, I discovered this app prevents Smart Lock from working. I set Pattern Lock with a Bluetooth device Smart Lock. When I use the Screen Off app the Lock Screen appears when I hit the power button. When I use the power button to turn off then Smart Lock works and it recognizes my Bluetooth device and skips the Pattern Lock screen.
Any way I can get a Screen Off app that allows Smart Lock to work as it should?

May 5, 2015I have a bug with my Nexus battery that no longer charge, the temperature of the battery is rated for -30 C but it does not recharge, whether in the ROM, the recovery, the bootloader , I ' have already connect - disconnect the battery several times but still nothing , I wonder if the fact that the phone has heated yesterday (CPU at ~ 85 C for 1 H) have damaged the sensor , I would like disabled or ignore it to allow charging of the phone.It happen once already , I just disconnected - reconnected the battery and it was gone, but here it does not work again.

Apr 1, 2015When syncing my google contacts they suddenly do not appear. If i run diagnostic software it shows me 374 contacts have been found but no problems. At times when i select contacts it shows me the names but when i select the contact there is no information that comes up, it is just white. I go back and the contact names appear. I have tried removing my google account and readding, restarting and nothing seems to work. I can't really pinpoint to when it begun, it was intermittent then today I came home, looked at my phone and had a sync error message. The errors message seemed to indicate it was a result of google services update that must have run...
In additio to this If i go to messages the contact names appears aligned to a message, but if i dial a number manually it doesn't show me the contact name. If i recieve a call it also doesn't show me the name, only the number. I know 200% the contact is stored in google though.
When looking at the google sync options it all looks normal. Last synced is consistent with the rest. Doesn't matter if the contact is drawn from google, facebook, linked in or any other app it does not appear in the contacts list and if it does intermittently accessing the contact contains no information. It doesn't seem to be a google problem but rather a phone problem considering it is happening with all the contacts syned with out discriminating on application.

Oct 10, 2015Today the native calendar (green one) on my Galaxy S5 stopped syncing with my Google calendar. When I checked the settings there were no calendars listed. When I try to add a calendar, the app crashes. In addition to that, all the appointments on my phone have been deleted. The calendar is version 1.0.
It also will not sync to Outlook, which it had done previously.

Apr 7, 2014Have had my Nexus 5 for 4 days, and i noticed the other day that when i press the sleep button the power-down screen animation no longer happens. i dont really know the official term but it looks like an old CRT TV turning off, thats the best way i can describe it. so instead the screen just goes black. The thing is that I had a $30/month prepaid plan which is not available as a postpaid plan. But no one told me. They just said that I was eligible for a postpaid plan after 18 months. Oct 22, 2015I have a really weird problem that randomly started and just keeps getting weirder and more annoying. I was watching YouTube via the app on a very unreliable WiFi connection, and received a number of "playback error, tap to retry" messages (pretty normal on this particular network) so I didn't think much of it. When I got home, however, the messages and errors continued, so I cleared YouTube's cache, which did nothing. I then cleared data, it asked me to sign into Google again, and it did, but the errors continued. I then noticed in my notifications that I had some app updates available from the play store, and that's when the problem got stupid.
Play store hung on the spinny loading circle, so I cleared its cache and data and then it hung on the first update. Soooo, I cleared cache, then data, on Google play services. Now, not a single damn Google app does anything. Google play music shows my two google accounts to set up with, clicking either of them does nothing. YouTube plays videos linked from other apps, but can't search or browse, just has a the red nav bar and blank white space with the spinny. Play store doesn't work. Inbox doesn't refresh, you get the idea. And somehow, Facebook started not connecting at the same time as everything else. Not sure if its related or not, but it sure is frustrating. Chrome works fine. Other apps that connect to the internet work fine. Just google apps and Facebook.

It keeps trying to send them but never sends, I have called my network (o2) who says its the phone but it was working ok for 5 months, I have turned off the GPRS connectivity and checked my SMS settings, all is fine but it just wont send.I have a sneaking suspicion that this has happened since I use the 'software update' tool but the only updates that were updated was 'ovi contacts' and 'ovi maps' could they interfere with my sms?

May 17, 2012So a few days ago I dropped my iPhone 4. I'm not 100% sure but I think that is when my sound stopped working. The speakers are working fine, I can hear music and things like that. None of the phone sounds such as clicking when lock/unlocked, keyboard clicks etc are working. When I press the + and - volume buttons the icon does not appear, same as when i mute/unmute it. No sounds, nothing appears. Also, when I receive incoming calls the ringer no longer works.
I have tried cleaning with toothbrush, restarting, restoring, blowing in the phone, etc.

I have deleted the gmail off my phone. Gone to gmail on my laptop and changed the password. Went to settings and reset up, still getting same error. I have done the capta reset on both my phone and my laptop. Nothing.
