Aug 18, 2012I have a bug while trying to install Nokia Store v3.30.014. The install hangs on a white screen with the text "Please wait. Installation will take few minutes" and a progress bar which never shows anything. Mar 9, 2012My phone has all of the settings sent by the phone company. It will access the internet no problem by going through the browser. However attempting to click on the preinstalled 'store' and 'maps' button starts the programs which then error 'connection failed' connection unavailable'. Clicking on SW updates gives the same error plus "unable to check for updates. Please try later". I haven't updated my phone - not sure how to now the SW updates won't work. Is it just a case of updating the preinstalled software?

Sep 1, 2014Basically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.

Jun 21, 2012My wifi stays constantly connected after the microsoft apps update. Running latest belle on n8. Powersave mode is active, and no apps are running. I have rebooted several times, and upon reboot the wifi connects and never disconnects. I have removed any widgets that access data and the problem remains, however those widgets were there prior to the update and wifi worked normally.

Sep 8, 2011I updated to Anna on an N8 during the first days of the release and I'm still enjoying my phone.
Firstly, Swype isn't working on my phone, it has never worked before and i was hoping it would with the Anna update but it still doesn't. Whenever I install the App, my phone freezes, i can't open anything that requires use of the Keyboard(Messages, Conversations, WhatsApp). The phone just keeps quite until I uninstall Swype.
Secondly, When you use Grid, there is an icon called Signal Boost, when opening it, it says System error... Not sure if anyone has ever experienced this.
Lastly (for now), are we supposed to purchase Shazam and QuickOffice 7 or a plan is being made to have an update that allows full access to both the apps in the near future? N8-00,Galaxy Tab 10.1

Oct 27, 2011I use the app "Snycmypix" so I can link my contacts with their photos on facebook. Before the 2.3.4 update, the app worked fine and was full screen. Now, it take about a little more than 1/4 of my screen. Any know whats up with that, and if Moto is aware of it and working on a fix?

Oct 13, 2011I picked up a new N8 about a month ago and I love it. The one thing that has absolutely been bugging the **bleep** out of me is sending SMS messages. In conversation if I send a message longer than a line or two, it fails to send and sits in my outbox as failed (resending from here does not work).If I want to send this message I have to move it to my drafts, and then hit send. If the text still fails to send and recieves a sending error then returns to my outbox as failed, I then have to move it to drafts, select >options>sending options> and manually change it to a multimedia message and then send it.

The ID shown slings to another family member with an iPhone who uses the same Mac desktop (and thus iTunes) as I do. Another person asked this question but it wasn't answered. I tried signing out of app store in my iPhone settings (by the way, it said my apple ID was being used. By my phone!) and then signing back in with my apple ID, but that didn't work either--it stil asks for the password for the other apple ID when I try to update.

Jul 20, 2010my PC was able to connect to the internet with my 5800 via a USB cable.Now, I can no longer connect to the internet with the 5800 via a USB cable.I had never tried connecting the computer to the internet with the 5800 via Bluetooth prior to this incident, so I tried that.Strangely, it works.My question is how come I can no longer use the 5800 via USB as a modem, but how come the 5800 via Bluetooth still works as a working modem? I just feel better using the USB connection and knowing that my 5800 has a clean bill of health.BTW, my PC is on Windows 7 Professional at the moment.I've tried uninstalling the Ovi Suite and reinstalling it, but that didn't work.I've also tried using PC suite instead of the Ovi Suite but that didn't work either.What other options do I have, beside hard resetting the phone?BTW, the message shown when I tried to connect to the internet with the 5800 USB modem was "failed to establish a network connection".

May 19, 2010My 4 day old N97 Mini stopped displaying new text message notifications on the screen and alerting me via a tone or vibration. Before posting I read this forum and other independent forums and did the following:
Checked firmware for phone - was up to date
Checked message tone was active in profiles - was active
Deleted all messages in inbox/drafts/sent - fixed issue had 41 messages total in these 3 folders.
I can't understand this error, I had an iPhone 3G before coming back to Nokia (N97 mini OS served a better purpose) I could store literally 100's of texts and never had a problem, If I can't have more than 40 texts in my folders without the alert turning itself off..Then the phone is useless.
