Nokia Nseries :: SMS Will Not Send If Longer?

I picked up a new N8 about a month ago and I love it. The one thing that has absolutely been bugging the **bleep** out of me is sending SMS messages. In conversation if I send a message longer than a line or two, it fails to send and sits in my outbox as failed (resending from here does not work).If I want to send this message I have to move it to my drafts, and then hit send. If the text still fails to send and recieves a sending error then returns to my outbox as failed, I then have to move it to drafts, select >options>sending options> and manually change it to a multimedia message and then send it.

My N79 no longer sends the text messages I write...
I was in Kenya for 4 weeks, it worked fine there both with my regular sim card and a Kenyan one. When I got to the airport in Istanbul I could no longer send messages.
I tried again in Munich and then when I got back home to Sweden- still doesn't work!
I downloaded an upgrade to see if that would work but nope- still nothing.

Just upgraded my Nokia N8 and was shocked to see that RSA SecurID is no longer available
I wonder how can such an important business app can be missed ! Lucky for me I have an Andriod Tab, but other N8 users beware.

I have been unable to send or receive text messages and audio/mms. After some investigation, I believe the issue is a memory one. Once I change the "Memory in use" setting to phone memory rather than my 8GB microSD card I can send and receive messages.I tried to delete text messages from the memory card but nothing happened, they will not delete.

My wife has discovered that issue when she tried to attach a 35 second video to a text message. She just switched from an iPhone which didn't have any issues with sending and receiving longer videos.
(yes, I'm fully aware of "reduce the resolution for smaller size, but it's already at lowest it lets me, even if I DON'T need a 720p video)

I have completely lost GPS functionallity. Recently before a couple of days ago the GPS lock was playing up a bit (failed to lock a GPS signal, but GPS icon was visible). Then a couple of days ago I was unable to get a GPS lock at all and the GPS icon failed to show. my PC was able to connect to the internet with my 5800 via a USB cable.Now, I can no longer connect to the internet with the 5800 via a USB cable.I had never tried connecting the computer to the internet with the 5800 via Bluetooth prior to this incident, so I tried that.Strangely, it works.My question is how come I can no longer use the 5800 via USB as a modem, but how come the 5800 via Bluetooth still works as a working modem? I just feel better using the USB connection and knowing that my 5800 has a clean bill of health.BTW, my PC is on Windows 7 Professional at the moment.I've tried uninstalling the Ovi Suite and reinstalling it, but that didn't work.I've also tried using PC suite instead of the Ovi Suite but that didn't work either.What other options do I have, beside hard resetting the phone?BTW, the message shown when I tried to connect to the internet with the 5800 USB modem was "failed to establish a network connection".

i just got no where to go with my 5800 problem. I just got my phone more than a year ago and it's over the warranty. I love this phone so much but just recently, the touh screen is no longer detecting. I mean, sometimes it will but mostly it doesn't. Can you help me? What do i need to do? replace the screen or will this be fixed? i need your responce asap.

When the refresh update came out , I updated it directly through my phone avoiding nokia suite it gave me new goodies and seemed like a minor + point.. Its only after updating my phone through nokia care just to boost up my memory it I started noticing flaws..such as 1) Stripped support of Nokia Reader ( one of the best push notigivation marvell ) 2) Horrible mail client ( just a joke with push mail virtually snapped ) 3) And Now Lyrics support that was present after updating it via phone is also not present..

I had already reflashed my N8 3 times as of now on a nearest nokia care (I still thank it, coz its still under warranty)... But the prob "can't send SMS" still returning... It took a week and again... What's the prob on this N8 unit of nokia? They don't care about this? I think my N8 is nuts! I can't use it well... I had a already made other ways to overcome but still keep returning..

after upgrading to nokia belle on my n8 when i tap on the image to send it via bluetooth or mail it takes long time for it give the options of bluetooth, mail or msg ...it shows processing for a long time ....which wasnt the case with nna....nokia any updates on tht????

Im getting this problem since 2 days now. When I send a text message to anyone, I get an error saying ''Messaging: Feature Not Supported". After quite a few attempts the message finally is sent but I dont receive any delivery report even though I have enabled that option. And when I check the sent items or conversations, the recipient is totally someone else! I tried soft reset and the problem solved. But now it came up again. Soft resetting my phone every day is not an option.

I want to send someone a link to webpage, I;ve tried copying & pasting the address & also tried using the send link option. Although it sends the link it sends it as text, so if the recipient is not tech-savvy enough to copy & paste then it's a waste of time! is it possible to send as a clickable link?

I want to send a text with the answer to a competition. The competition T&C's allow unlimited entries so I want to automatically send 50 entries from my N97. Is it possible to set this up to send automatically? I know it can be done via websites but it has to be from my phone.

I just got my new Nokia N8. I already setup Mail for Exchange via IMAP to sync the mails, contacts and the calendar of my private mailbox.Everything runs alright. But I can not send mails via Mail for Exchange. If I push on "New Mail" the program say the command can not be executed and breaks down.

Would it be possible to add a "send" button at the bottom middle for service command view?Service command is the menu you get when you phone a *123# number for example.Currently you have to select your number/option by typing it and then select "Options" and select send. There are just two buttons currently in that view (Back and Options) on the Symbian Belle interface. My old Nokia had a dedicated send button Anyway, would really make things easier because these type op menu's are used by the mobile banking sites and to check my cellphone account balances.

i upgraded my 701 to symbian belle fp2. now i can't find facility to send multiple pics from gallery. moreover the videoediting is bad. i can only trim it. so as photo editing. in the former version i can use many options in video editing. now i can't. so, is there any possibility of another upgrade to fp2?

I have a problem concerning my blackberry torch 9800. My daughter updated the phone and then this problem occurred. I can send 2 3 words with no problem but when I write something longer, 1 2 sentences, and then I press send and the message just disappears without being sent.
