My N79 no longer sends the text messages I write...
I was in Kenya for 4 weeks, it worked fine there both with my regular sim card and a Kenyan one. When I got to the airport in Istanbul I could no longer send messages.
I tried again in Munich and then when I got back home to Sweden- still doesn't work!
I downloaded an upgrade to see if that would work but nope- still nothing.
I have been unable to send or receive text messages and audio/mms. After some investigation, I believe the issue is a memory one. Once I change the "Memory in use" setting to phone memory rather than my 8GB microSD card I can send and receive messages.I tried to delete text messages from the memory card but nothing happened, they will not delete.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI picked up a new N8 about a month ago and I love it. The one thing that has absolutely been bugging the **bleep** out of me is sending SMS messages. In conversation if I send a message longer than a line or two, it fails to send and sits in my outbox as failed (resending from here does not work).If I want to send this message I have to move it to my drafts, and then hit send. If the text still fails to send and recieves a sending error then returns to my outbox as failed, I then have to move it to drafts, select >options>sending options> and manually change it to a multimedia message and then send it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy wife has discovered that issue when she tried to attach a 35 second video to a text message. She just switched from an iPhone which didn't have any issues with sending and receiving longer videos.
(yes, I'm fully aware of "reduce the resolution for smaller size, but it's already at lowest it lets me, even if I DON'T need a 720p video)
I have a nokia 5530 just bought early december 2009. It's been 2 days that can't receive and send text messages. So I thought it was just the service provider. But now all my inbox and outbox messages gone. The phone calls works fine. What is this? Need help what to do?

When I press details it says "General: memory full. Close some applications and try again".... I have no applications
open and have pressed and held the menu button to check and defiantly don't. I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. It did it again 10pm Wednesday night and is still the same and its Friday xx I have posted this message on facebook and got told to ask here. my bb has started acting weird, sometimes( not always) when screen unlocked it automatically selects apps,writes messages,deletes messages,send messages etc. its like someone is logged in remotley and doing this, what is this and how can i stop it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to send any messages w/ a picture. Its really quite annoying. I've never had this problemwith my N97 or E90. But when I got my E72 I can't receive or send any. and when I try to send one it just stays in the outbox saying "resend at this this time" but when it gets there it just prolongs the time even more.

I have just recieved my new E63 today, and it is all going swimingly- the phone can make phone calls, use the internet, recieve texts, however I CANNOT SEND TEXTS.I have endlessly tried to configure the texts, changing the message centre etc. i've run through the troubleshoot guide on the 3 website nothing has worked and i got tired of waiting 20 mins for customer service.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wifes Nokia N79 has recently started putting sent messages in her outbox saying that it will try to re-send then fails to send them at all. She got the phone 2nd hand which was originally on T-Mobile network but she is on O2. I have tried taking her sim card out and putting in my phone and it works fine.She has had a couple of messages back form a few people saying that they got the same message 45 times yet she never gets a delivery report! Does anyone know if this is a handset issue rather than a network issue or have any advice whatsoever?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can receive email but I cannot reply to it since I cannot send out messages. I have reported this over the phone to a Nokia Hotline but no solution has been found. In one of my trips to Manila I went to a Nokia Care Center in SM MOA and they also said nothing is wrong with my phone ,they claim that with their own sim card they can send and receive messages . So Again I went Smart Iloilo Philippines where they also told me nothing is wrong with the with the operator settings.
I really don't know where to turn to; I got this E75 because I need the push email services badly. My user name in the Nokia messaging is and my Cel phone number is. Is this a software or hardware problem and has anybody encountered a similar problem
I have a recurring problem with my N95 8gb, I can't send any texts. It started by sending the same text repeatedly until I deleted from the outbox. After a while I couldn't send texts at all, I get a error message stating that my memory is full which is not the case. I temporarily fixed this by deleting a message in my sent box and switching off the handset and when I turned on the phone again it would send the message. Although this was very annoying it worked normally for a while but now this method doesn't work anymore. What can I do to solve this? I've tried to update the firmware, tried both soft and hard reset. I have 85.3M empty RAM, 40,6M empty phone memory and 5,9gb empty on the mass memory.
View 10 Replies View RelatedPlease help me sort out an issue I have with my, new N85 phone. I can receive text msgs but cannot send them. I have followed the guides that i have got from Nokia but the phone won't allow me to change the message centre number that I have been given. It says that i am unable to change it as the phone is reading from the sim card. I have put the sim into another nokia phone and it shows the right number. why won't it see it on the new phone and why won't it let me change it.
This is the wrong time of year not to be able to send texts, all my family and friends have stopped talking to me as they think I'm being rude!

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy E72-1 just developed this annoying and hard-to-fix problem: It can't send SMS messages anymore. I hadn't noticed it at first, was wondering why the persons I sent messages didn't replied when I responded to their messages. Then happened to check my phones Outbox, and 6 text messages are stuck in there for several hours already. Just to test the phone further (to check if it might be a SIM card problem), I put this SIM card on another phone, and I was able to send messages on that phone. I also placed another SIM card on the E72 and tested sending a message -- the message sending gets stuck at the Outbox and never sends. Receiving SMS messages appears to work fine. Also, calling out (voice calls) and receiving calls work. other notes: in settings: "Phone Memory" (instead of memory card) is used for text messages, configured to have up to 999 messages. Currently, have around 600 SMS messages in the Inbox and maybe 150 text messages in the Sent folder. Let's says that's only around 800 messages (not yet 999 messages).
What I tried: I changed the setting from "phone memory" to "memory card", but still unable to send messages. (I reverted it back to phone memory since that's where my messages are residing.) I did a soft reset *#7780# which reset the E72's settings. Tried again to send SMS message -- it still fails. I decided to do a hard reset, so I did a full backup using Ovi Suite first. Then I did the hard reset *#7370# -- and it did solve the problem (able to send messages again), unfortunately, I would need to reinstall all the applications, contacts and restore the messages I saved. I tried restoring the backup (it was pretty big at 2.3Gb), but it's taking a very very long time (nearly an hour) and it seems to fail near the end of the restoration. The backing up of the phone took awhile (maybe 20 minutes or so) since it backedup probably the whole memory card too. (I should probably have deleted a few unneeded big files from the memory card before I did the backup since it appears that Ovi Suite is also backing up those big files).Right now, I'm doing the restoration a second time (a few hours since I first tried that and it sort of failed). During the restoration which ended with failure, it seems that when I tried sending SMS messages, it fails again. (ie. if I restore the backup, the problem is also restored) -- I'll check this again later if this is indeed the case. I still had around 130Mb free space left in the C: phone memory and the 4Gb microSDHD memory card had around 900Mb free space when I started the backing up in the first place. (mentioning these in case these might be related to the problem.)any idea what's causing the unable to send SMS message problem? another thing: does restoring backups really take an extremely long time? (I haven't tried the restoration function before, though I did a backup maybe 2 months ago) Does the phone get in a sort of "stuck" or "hanging" mode during the latter part of the restoration procedure?
I cant send text messages - although I can receive them - can someone please help me in setting this up in my phone.it has to be in the settings somewhere.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my nokia E63, it has not allowed me to send or recieve normal text messages. I have only had it for a day, and i have never been able to do so. When i try to send them it saves them into the outbox, but i do not even have internet set up let alone e-mail! and whenever i try to call some one it says "emergency phone calls only!". I bought this phone as a virgin phone, and they said it would be okay to use my curent sim card, as it to is on virgin. I bought the phone on pre paid and the sim is also pre paid. However i cannot send messages, and i recently topped the sim card up before i changed handsets. Do i need to activate the phone or something?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am not able to send Group messages from Nokia C7.I am sending messages to a distribution list having 70 members in it, only 20 messages are going fine and the remaining 50 stuck in the inbox saying Failed or Resend at XX:XX.Then i usually try to click on each message in the out box and send them again. [i dont know why there is no mark all option in outbox ] But from 3 days eventhough i am trying to send the 50messages again it is just saying Resend at XX:XX.
1) I tried sending the messaged from OVI suite but no luck
2) With help of vodafone customer care i verified all my message settings, message center number and everything are fine. (if they are wrong the first 20 should also stuck na..)
3) I thought it was a n/w problem i called to vodafone Customer care and they asked me try in another phone.
4) I have taken my old nokia 5310 Xpress music inserted the same sim and sent the 70 messages, they all went very fine.
I got my Lumia 920 and sent a few texts but found that if you type past 2 messages in one session and try to send, it comes back as saying it can't send. I tried resending but it won't go.
To send, I had to copy the message, delete the message, paste it in the field then resend. That works.
An update for the SMS+Messaging app came a few days ago but hasn't fixed the problem cause I tried sending a 3 message text and it did the same thing. Had to again copy the message, delete then send quickly.
My messages seem to send ages to send and sometimes on bbm they don't even send, anyone know why?

View 7 Replies View RelatedToday my nokia e63 ran out of battery charge and as I was in town there was no way I could charge it. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all. This all happened after my phone ran out of charge, is this a known issue? Does anybody know what might be going wrong with it?

I've made 50 text messages. I have 780 songs and 10 videos and 200 pictures. Everytime I download anything I save it on E: but still a bit from C: disappear too. And now I have 25GB free on E: and C: is 20 kb. The problem is that can't download anything anymore, I can't take pictures and not even send messages, because the mobile says that memory is full but it isn't!
