Mar 11, 2010I bought an unlocked nokia 6760 off ebay recently, and now I find out that it won't send messages. Please help (It will send and receive calls, and receive messages.)

Jun 26, 2010I can make and receive calls and receive text messages but can't send texts. I have checked my message centre number and it is correct. what else could be the problem?

May 6, 2010I can load ovi maps. I can connect to the satelite to get my position. When connected to the satetlite, you get a first screen. If I type in an address, or use a favourite stored location, and select "drive to" or "walk to", the phone will calculate a route and the voice will start to give me directions. A second screen then loads by default to a 3D view where your position is represented by an arrow, and a blue line shows the route direction. The phone essentially behaves like a standalone GPS at this point. However, after a short while as popup shows to say something like "this will take a few moments". After this, the voice and route features shutdown and the screen is returned to just the 2d positioning map. I would like to get the "drive to"/"walk to" route calculation with voice direction to stay on (obviously)?

Jul 2, 2010Recently purchased a 6760 slide and it does not seem to retain its pair on my car bluetooth. Previously had a blackberry and this worked fine everytime I started the car. Everytime I get in the car and want to use bluetooth I have to register the 6760 phone and basically start from scratch. I thought it may have been the technology in the car kit, but friend just tried their brand new blackberry and it connects and works fine all the time. The car kit is built into the car stereo so is relatively new.

Jun 2, 2010When I connect my Nokia 6760 slide to my laptop, Ovi Suite 2.1 says there is an update available for my telephone software, being version 20.007. At this moment I have version 03.38 installed on my telephone. Why I try to update my telephone software to this new version using Ovi Suite I get an error message saying that the update failed probably because I have non-commercial software on my telephone, but it is a new device and I haven't installed any software on it.

Apr 8, 2010My issue is that the notification light on my 6760 always flashes regardless of if I have a new text/email/missed call. To check this, I set it so that it notifies me, but then unticked all the boxes for notification, eg: unticked 'notify for text', and 'notify for missed call' etc. So that it shouldn't ever notify me. To combat this I usually just turn this feature off, but I'd really like to use it as lately i've been missing a few important messages that have sat there for hours unnoticed.

Mar 14, 2010I have a 6760 slide phone in a pouch on my belt. It automatically answers a call when I remove the phone from the pouch. I am positive that I am not hitting any keys when removing the phone from the pouch, and I have AnyKey answer off in settings. As far as I can see it can only be the motion detector, or the light sensor automatically answering the call. This is extremely frustrating as I do not get to decide whether to silence the call. I have looked extensively on the Internet, in the manual and in the phone settings but can not stop this happing.

Nokia :: 6760 Earpiece Pressing Handset Button Stop Being Able To Hear
May 11, 2010Having a problem when I call people/receive calls. Everything's fine as long as I have it on loudspeaker or have the earphones in but as soon as I press the handset button I stop being able to hear anything (although the person at the other end can still hear me). Not sure if it's something I've caused by messing about with the settings as it hasn't always been like this, or if something's broke.

Jan 27, 2010When downloading maps to my phone with Ver.3.0 Maps Loader, part 1/2 works fine, but at part 2/2, i get this "connection to medium storage interrupted. Attach your storage medium and retry" error at 85.1% everytime (i've tried several times).
Some info:
- I have ver.3.0 Maps on my phone.
- I've also tried updating the firmware and its up-to-date.
- I'm using a 8Gb memory card so it can't be lack of space.
What is causing this error?
Nokia :: E72 Can't Send Any Mms Messages
Jan 19, 2010I can't seem to send any messages w/ a picture. Its really quite annoying. I've never had this problemwith my N97 or E90. But when I got my E72 I can't receive or send any. and when I try to send one it just stays in the outbox saying "resend at this this time" but when it gets there it just prolongs the time even more.

Jan 18, 2010I have just recieved my new E63 today, and it is all going swimingly- the phone can make phone calls, use the internet, recieve texts, however I CANNOT SEND TEXTS.I have endlessly tried to configure the texts, changing the message centre etc. i've run through the troubleshoot guide on the 3 website nothing has worked and i got tired of waiting 20 mins for customer service.

Jan 4, 2010My wifes Nokia N79 has recently started putting sent messages in her outbox saying that it will try to re-send then fails to send them at all. She got the phone 2nd hand which was originally on T-Mobile network but she is on O2. I have tried taking her sim card out and putting in my phone and it works fine.She has had a couple of messages back form a few people saying that they got the same message 45 times yet she never gets a delivery report! Does anyone know if this is a handset issue rather than a network issue or have any advice whatsoever?

Mar 23, 2010I can receive email but I cannot reply to it since I cannot send out messages. I have reported this over the phone to a Nokia Hotline but no solution has been found. In one of my trips to Manila I went to a Nokia Care Center in SM MOA and they also said nothing is wrong with my phone ,they claim that with their own sim card they can send and receive messages . So Again I went Smart Iloilo Philippines where they also told me nothing is wrong with the with the operator settings.
I really don't know where to turn to; I got this E75 because I need the push email services badly. My user name in the Nokia messaging is and my Cel phone number is. Is this a software or hardware problem and has anybody encountered a similar problem
Nokia :: N95 8gb Cannot Send Text Messages
Feb 7, 2010I have a recurring problem with my N95 8gb, I can't send any texts. It started by sending the same text repeatedly until I deleted from the outbox. After a while I couldn't send texts at all, I get a error message stating that my memory is full which is not the case. I temporarily fixed this by deleting a message in my sent box and switching off the handset and when I turned on the phone again it would send the message. Although this was very annoying it worked normally for a while but now this method doesn't work anymore. What can I do to solve this? I've tried to update the firmware, tried both soft and hard reset. I have 85.3M empty RAM, 40,6M empty phone memory and 5,9gb empty on the mass memory.

I was in Kenya for 4 weeks, it worked fine there both with my regular sim card and a Kenyan one. When I got to the airport in Istanbul I could no longer send messages.
I tried again in Munich and then when I got back home to Sweden- still doesn't work!
I downloaded an upgrade to see if that would work but nope- still nothing.
Nokia :: N85 - Can Receive Messages But Cannot Send
Jan 1, 2010Please help me sort out an issue I have with my, new N85 phone. I can receive text msgs but cannot send them. I have followed the guides that i have got from Nokia but the phone won't allow me to change the message centre number that I have been given. It says that i am unable to change it as the phone is reading from the sim card. I have put the sim into another nokia phone and it shows the right number. why won't it see it on the new phone and why won't it let me change it.
This is the wrong time of year not to be able to send texts, all my family and friends have stopped talking to me as they think I'm being rude!
