I just bought the 6760 slide and when it is closed there is a glowing light that constantly goes on and off around the navi keys. I am sure this is draining the battery but have no idea how to turn it off. Any help would be much appreciated thank you!

View 4 Replies View RelatedRight so Ovi Suite 2.1 doesn't appear to do anything with maps Maps Updater complains about another instance being active (have to kill NokiaMServer.exe process) and then can't find my phone via BT (Ovi can) Moreover, what does Maps Updater do? Does it update the maps, update the map sw? I can Never remember And what about Map Loader? Does that install new maps to the device, or update the Map sw? Wouldn't you expect that whichever sw is used to download new maps would also be able to check if there are newer versions available? And the amazing Ovi Suite (sarcasm) doesn't this do anything with Maps? Who knows... And free navigation for the N79??? Status? Will this ever be supported? The applications may as well be written in Finnish, because I sure as heck can't figure it out (BTW Helsinki is a lovely city though and the ppl are friendly, but a guy I met there with a N97 said he hated the darned thing and would be upgrading to an iPhone asap)
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought an XR6 Turbo with a CK-100 installed, has been working great for 6 months but stopped working yesterday, I've checked all the power wires and the red wire has 12v, blue has 12v, and the yellow wire has 4.8v.
The light on the Navi wheel is not coming on anymore. I've tried holding the button in etc, normally it just turns on with the key but it's not working anymore.
I can load ovi maps. I can connect to the satelite to get my position. When connected to the satetlite, you get a first screen. If I type in an address, or use a favourite stored location, and select "drive to" or "walk to", the phone will calculate a route and the voice will start to give me directions. A second screen then loads by default to a 3D view where your position is represented by an arrow, and a blue line shows the route direction. The phone essentially behaves like a standalone GPS at this point. However, after a short while as popup shows to say something like "this will take a few moments". After this, the voice and route features shutdown and the screen is returned to just the 2d positioning map. I would like to get the "drive to"/"walk to" route calculation with voice direction to stay on (obviously)?

View 15 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased a 6760 slide and it does not seem to retain its pair on my car bluetooth. Previously had a blackberry and this worked fine everytime I started the car. Everytime I get in the car and want to use bluetooth I have to register the 6760 phone and basically start from scratch. I thought it may have been the technology in the car kit, but friend just tried their brand new blackberry and it connects and works fine all the time. The car kit is built into the car stereo so is relatively new.

At this moment I have version 03.38 installed on my telephone. Why I try to update my telephone software to this new version using Ovi Suite I get an error message saying that the update failed probably because I have non-commercial software on my telephone, but it is a new device and I haven't installed any software on it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy issue is that the notification light on my 6760 always flashes regardless of if I have a new text/email/missed call. To check this, I set it so that it notifies me, but then unticked all the boxes for notification, eg: unticked 'notify for text', and 'notify for missed call' etc. So that it shouldn't ever notify me. To combat this I usually just turn this feature off, but I'd really like to use it as lately i've been missing a few important messages that have sat there for hours unnoticed.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a 6760 slide phone in a pouch on my belt. It automatically answers a call when I remove the phone from the pouch. I am positive that I am not hitting any keys when removing the phone from the pouch, and I have AnyKey answer off in settings. As far as I can see it can only be the motion detector, or the light sensor automatically answering the call. This is extremely frustrating as I do not get to decide whether to silence the call. I have looked extensively on the Internet, in the manual and in the phone settings but can not stop this happing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my 6760 slide, i tried to type my lock code which i was sure i knew but it didnt work. my lock code had an exclaimation mark in it but when i try to type the exclaimation mark, it doesn't register on the code screen. the button does work though as i tested it in the notes application.

Having a problem when I call people/receive calls. Everything's fine as long as I have it on loudspeaker or have the earphones in but as soon as I press the handset button I stop being able to hear anything (although the person at the other end can still hear me). Not sure if it's something I've caused by messing about with the settings as it hasn't always been like this, or if something's broke.

I got a Lumia 1020 a few days ago, and have noticed the lights of the 3 buttons at the button aren't working. I can't remember having seen them glow. Even last night, the didn't seen to be working in the dark.
I am currently using DP, could that be the reason?
When downloading maps to my phone with Ver.3.0 Maps Loader, part 1/2 works fine, but at part 2/2, i get this "connection to medium storage interrupted. Attach your storage medium and retry" error at 85.1% everytime (i've tried several times).
Some info:
- I have ver.3.0 Maps on my phone.
- I've also tried updating the firmware and its up-to-date.
- I'm using a 8Gb memory card so it can't be lack of space.
What is causing this error?
1) I am in India and am using the Nokia E5-00 just now. I was using Nokia 2690 earlier. Why does the E5 NAVI key not have shortcuts like the earlier phones? In earlier phones you could configure the NAVI key for shortcuts to Radio, Camera, etc. Is that possible in E5?2) When I press the Call Key, the E5 does not show me the latest calls made. For that I am forced to go to Call Log. Is there a way I can configure that?

However mine doesn't, I tried looking for how to activate it in the setup but could find anything.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 volume keys and silent/ringer keys are not working and it doesn't ring and vibrate when i get a call or text and neither the sound working when i use any app like games etc. but when i go to settings and change the ringtone then its ringing and the sound is working when i play music but there is a problem as well the headphone dock is not working.

Even if I select "high" sensitivity for optical navi key, it is too slow for me. I can only move 2 icons once a time. I think it is too slow compared to "blackberry"s trackpad. I have to touch too many times for moving long distances especially browsing web. It's sensitivity should be increased or there should be more sensitivity levels. The difference between 3 sensitivity levels does not differ so much.
Maybe my optical navi key is malfunctioned? Can you comment your experiences with optical navi key?
