I've just bought the 6760 slide unlocked from Vodafone. I want to use my 3 mobile sim. It's good to make calls, sms etc but won't allow me to access the internet or send mms. So I'd obviously need to change the settings but I have no idea how to do this.
View 7 RepliesRecently purchased a 6760 slide and it does not seem to retain its pair on my car bluetooth. Previously had a blackberry and this worked fine everytime I started the car. Everytime I get in the car and want to use bluetooth I have to register the 6760 phone and basically start from scratch. I thought it may have been the technology in the car kit, but friend just tried their brand new blackberry and it connects and works fine all the time. The car kit is built into the car stereo so is relatively new.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my Nokia 6760 slide to my laptop, Ovi Suite 2.1 says there is an update available for my telephone software, being version 20.007. At this moment I have version 03.38 installed on my telephone. Why I try to update my telephone software to this new version using Ovi Suite I get an error message saying that the update failed probably because I have non-commercial software on my telephone, but it is a new device and I haven't installed any software on it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy issue is that the notification light on my 6760 always flashes regardless of if I have a new text/email/missed call. To check this, I set it so that it notifies me, but then unticked all the boxes for notification, eg: unticked 'notify for text', and 'notify for missed call' etc. So that it shouldn't ever notify me. To combat this I usually just turn this feature off, but I'd really like to use it as lately i've been missing a few important messages that have sat there for hours unnoticed.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a 6760 slide phone in a pouch on my belt. It automatically answers a call when I remove the phone from the pouch. I am positive that I am not hitting any keys when removing the phone from the pouch, and I have AnyKey answer off in settings. As far as I can see it can only be the motion detector, or the light sensor automatically answering the call. This is extremely frustrating as I do not get to decide whether to silence the call. I have looked extensively on the Internet, in the manual and in the phone settings but can not stop this happing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn my 6760 slide, i tried to type my lock code which i was sure i knew but it didnt work. my lock code had an exclaimation mark in it but when i try to type the exclaimation mark, it doesn't register on the code screen. the button does work though as i tested it in the notes application.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen downloading maps to my phone with Ver.3.0 Maps Loader, part 1/2 works fine, but at part 2/2, i get this "connection to medium storage interrupted. Attach your storage medium and retry" error at 85.1% everytime (i've tried several times).
Some info:
- I have ver.3.0 Maps on my phone.
- I've also tried updating the firmware and its up-to-date.
- I'm using a 8Gb memory card so it can't be lack of space.
What is causing this error?

View 15 Replies View RelatedToday my nokia e63 ran out of battery charge and as I was in town there was no way I could charge it. As I got home put my phone on charge and turned it back on, after a few minutes I decided I would send a text until I realized my phone would not let me do so. I had full signal and have tried to send a text in multiple areas around the house where I have signal. My girlfriend is on the same network as me and is having no problems at all. This all happened after my phone ran out of charge, is this a known issue? Does anybody know what might be going wrong with it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have put my sim card containing all my contact numbers into my 6700 slide. However, I can't seem to access the numbers now. When I go to Menu > contacts, under the 'Phone' contacts I have nothing, and yet when I change to 'Contacts' it changes to the 'Ovi' menu. I can't remember how to get back to the menu to chose Sim contacts. For some reason, I can't seem to copy over my SIM contact to my phone, I've been through every menu and there's nothing. I've even taken the sim out and put it back into my old phone and all the numbers are showing but I just can't seem to access them at all when putting back into my new nokia. I"m worried that I'm going to have to write them all out and recreate them all manually, surely there's a better way than this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E63 on 3, it reports its symbian software version as 200.21.012. My wireless router is a Netgear DG834PN. It has a WPA2-PSK key code set up, and my laptop works fine with the wireless. It is set up to use DHCP, has MAC address filtering turned OFF. The network is public (not set to hidden). If i try to connect my nokia E63 to the wireless then when i try to access the internet, it gives an error stating ' no gateway reply'. Power Saving is disabled. I have tried setting the IP address manually and still it gives the error. I have also tried re-setting the router, to no avail. The only way i got it to work was by disabling all security on the router (making it an open network) which, whilst this is fine for testing, i do not want to run it as an open network, it must run with WPA2-PSK security.

I'm trying to access the internet on my laptop through the e63 and it doesnt work.I connect both things with a usb cable, click "Connect PC to web" then the software starts and says "Preparing your Nokia e63" and then it says "Currently there's no network available". View 14 Replies View RelatedI can load ovi maps. I can connect to the satelite to get my position. When connected to the satetlite, you get a first screen. If I type in an address, or use a favourite stored location, and select "drive to" or "walk to", the phone will calculate a route and the voice will start to give me directions. A second screen then loads by default to a 3D view where your position is represented by an arrow, and a blue line shows the route direction. The phone essentially behaves like a standalone GPS at this point. However, after a short while as popup shows to say something like "this will take a few moments". After this, the voice and route features shutdown and the screen is returned to just the 2d positioning map. I would like to get the "drive to"/"walk to" route calculation with voice direction to stay on (obviously)?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have defined my WLAN as the primary internet access point. Incidentally, the E72 terms the WLAN connection point "infrastructure". My wife's E63 uses the slightly more reassuring "known". Despite the WLAN being the number 1 priority access point, when using the www application the 3G connection is launched if the applications settings are set to "automatic". If I use "always ask", oddly the WLAN internet access point does not show up in the list. The 3G connection does twice. Once as an internet access point, and with a slightly different name for a WAP connection (not sure what the point of the WAP connection is, but too scared to delete it). I can "Search for WLAN" which without fail always finds my home network, which is selectable, and can be used without problem.
There appears to be a glitch in that the defined WLAN access point is not and cannot be recognised as an automatic connection point, but is easily used when manually selected. Perhaps a WLAN setting is wrong making the automatic connection fall over? Happy to entertain any advice. The phone is completely up to date with firmware.
