On my 6760 slide, i tried to type my lock code which i was sure i knew but it didnt work. my lock code had an exclaimation mark in it but when i try to type the exclaimation mark, it doesn't register on the code screen. the button does work though as i tested it in the notes application.
View 3 RepliesRecently purchased a 6760 slide and it does not seem to retain its pair on my car bluetooth. Previously had a blackberry and this worked fine everytime I started the car. Everytime I get in the car and want to use bluetooth I have to register the 6760 phone and basically start from scratch. I thought it may have been the technology in the car kit, but friend just tried their brand new blackberry and it connects and works fine all the time. The car kit is built into the car stereo so is relatively new.

At this moment I have version 03.38 installed on my telephone. Why I try to update my telephone software to this new version using Ovi Suite I get an error message saying that the update failed probably because I have non-commercial software on my telephone, but it is a new device and I haven't installed any software on it.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy issue is that the notification light on my 6760 always flashes regardless of if I have a new text/email/missed call. To check this, I set it so that it notifies me, but then unticked all the boxes for notification, eg: unticked 'notify for text', and 'notify for missed call' etc. So that it shouldn't ever notify me. To combat this I usually just turn this feature off, but I'd really like to use it as lately i've been missing a few important messages that have sat there for hours unnoticed.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI have a 6760 slide phone in a pouch on my belt. It automatically answers a call when I remove the phone from the pouch. I am positive that I am not hitting any keys when removing the phone from the pouch, and I have AnyKey answer off in settings. As far as I can see it can only be the motion detector, or the light sensor automatically answering the call. This is extremely frustrating as I do not get to decide whether to silence the call. I have looked extensively on the Internet, in the manual and in the phone settings but can not stop this happing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen downloading maps to my phone with Ver.3.0 Maps Loader, part 1/2 works fine, but at part 2/2, i get this "connection to medium storage interrupted. Attach your storage medium and retry" error at 85.1% everytime (i've tried several times).
Some info:
- I have ver.3.0 Maps on my phone.
- I've also tried updating the firmware and its up-to-date.
- I'm using a 8Gb memory card so it can't be lack of space.

View 17 Replies View Relatedi tried formatting my phone today and when they asked the lock code i tried entering 12345 which is the default one, but it is not working. when i go to change the lock code and when i enter 12345 there they are accepting it and asking me to enter new lock but when i enter the new one and confirm it they are saying as "code error ". can anyone help me to reset my lock code or fix this problem somehow. and i am also facing the problem of messages going to outbox saying "you have to delete some data 1st and memory is full " . But there is lot of space left in my phone memory and memory card . tried usign both but still facing the same problem .

Am working in China where I bought a N97 last year. When pulling the phone out of the wallet (supplied by Nokia) last week the slide lock split and fell off. When my secretary took it to the Care Centre to get it fixed (her Chinese is better than mine) they charged RMB200 (about 20 pounds) to repair it. Is this normal? They said that even though the lock was probably faulty I could not prove it.When I called Nokia Care all they could say was 'this is our policy in China'. I like the phone but cannot stand the Nokia customer service these days.

The feature already exists. However for locking the phone I could not find a way. Evenif I slide off the phone, the phone keypad is still active.
Before I was using samsung and this feature is default in samsung models and is very efficient. Have just updated my 808 purview to FP2 how do you get slide lock screen to work. And I also fort we was getting back old style video editor like in n8 where you can join 2 clips together where is it.

When i try to enter default lock code 12345 it says "code error "
After few times of guessing it says lock code is entered 5 times incorect wait 5 minutes and code will be unblock...
I wait, and trying again and nothing happen... again same problem stays ...
im using nokia n79, after i restore the factory setting the phone didnt accept the lock code, before i restore the phone i was using the default lock code with out any problems!

Soon I made the update to v 31.0.101 (31.01.101.202.05).
The problem is that i cannot use now the lock code. I try 12345, because I did not change it never before. But the phone doesn't accept any lock code, it always say failure!
So, I cannot change or use the lock code of the phone.
[I did not try to use the lock code before the update, so I don't know if the problem was before too.]
[One strange thing: If I try another numbers differents of 12345, the fifth time the phone says wait 5 minutes; but if I try 12345, I can try it lots of times, never say wait 5 minutes]
[I suposse 12345 goes on being the right code, but the phone accept NO code]
