Aug 3, 2010I have finally found the new ovi maps for my 6760; selected the phone on the list, clicked on download but the link seems to be inactive. Can anyone help me download ovi maps?

When I hit next after selecting english, I see: Error: Invalid manifest or application descriptor. The "MIDlet-Name" attribute is missing. I previously had appworld installed on the device. I removed it to test dependancy checking (I'm developing an app with in-app purchases).

Also, what is the proper way to install a new OS? Can i just install it on top of what I am currently running and let it take over, or do I have to uninstall the current or anything? Nokia :: 6760 Slide - Lock Code Not Working Anymore
Feb 28, 2010On my 6760 slide, i tried to type my lock code which i was sure i knew but it didnt work. my lock code had an exclaimation mark in it but when i try to type the exclaimation mark, it doesn't register on the code screen. the button does work though as i tested it in the notes application.

Dec 23, 2011where can i download the OVI music application on my phone, actually what happend was it stopped working i used to click on the icon it would show a blank screen for a couple of seconds and then back to the menu icon, so i uninstalled it via NETQIN and now i want it back. I tried gettin into the ovi site by the bookmark provided on the nokia browserit lets me browse thru the store however when i try to login it says that its not my registered device... May 6, 2010I can load ovi maps. I can connect to the satelite to get my position. When connected to the satetlite, you get a first screen. If I type in an address, or use a favourite stored location, and select "drive to" or "walk to", the phone will calculate a route and the voice will start to give me directions. A second screen then loads by default to a 3D view where your position is represented by an arrow, and a blue line shows the route direction. The phone essentially behaves like a standalone GPS at this point. However, after a short while as popup shows to say something like "this will take a few moments". After this, the voice and route features shutdown and the screen is returned to just the 2d positioning map. I would like to get the "drive to"/"walk to" route calculation with voice direction to stay on (obviously)?

Jul 2, 2010Recently purchased a 6760 slide and it does not seem to retain its pair on my car bluetooth. Previously had a blackberry and this worked fine everytime I started the car. Everytime I get in the car and want to use bluetooth I have to register the 6760 phone and basically start from scratch. I thought it may have been the technology in the car kit, but friend just tried their brand new blackberry and it connects and works fine all the time. The car kit is built into the car stereo so is relatively new.

Jun 2, 2010When I connect my Nokia 6760 slide to my laptop, Ovi Suite 2.1 says there is an update available for my telephone software, being version 20.007. At this moment I have version 03.38 installed on my telephone. Why I try to update my telephone software to this new version using Ovi Suite I get an error message saying that the update failed probably because I have non-commercial software on my telephone, but it is a new device and I haven't installed any software on it.

Apr 8, 2010My issue is that the notification light on my 6760 always flashes regardless of if I have a new text/email/missed call. To check this, I set it so that it notifies me, but then unticked all the boxes for notification, eg: unticked 'notify for text', and 'notify for missed call' etc. So that it shouldn't ever notify me. To combat this I usually just turn this feature off, but I'd really like to use it as lately i've been missing a few important messages that have sat there for hours unnoticed.

Mar 14, 2010I have a 6760 slide phone in a pouch on my belt. It automatically answers a call when I remove the phone from the pouch. I am positive that I am not hitting any keys when removing the phone from the pouch, and I have AnyKey answer off in settings. As far as I can see it can only be the motion detector, or the light sensor automatically answering the call. This is extremely frustrating as I do not get to decide whether to silence the call. I have looked extensively on the Internet, in the manual and in the phone settings but can not stop this happing.
