Sep 19, 2011My Torch 9800 cannot lnk to the pc for download the apps, it always said my plug-in is not install. Even i installed, it take years tnot even to connect my phone to pc.

My wife has an iPhone which does this seamlessly (they call it "Tethering"). Went to the Telus store and the sales person claimed the Torch can do this but could not find the feature. I have spent 3 hours and cannot figure it out either.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist.

BB Torch :: 6.0 Update Won't Download On The 9800
May 12, 2011I received an email link for the BB 6.x upgrade today and tried to upgrade it from the phone but it won't allow it and says to use the desktop manager. When I try the desktop manager, it says there are no updates for my device. The OTASL diagnostic update says " request failed 22c67b020110512204609 01 of 01". Original Error: Failed to transmit, Connectivity: Server Busy Sufficient Coverage: yes.
Does anyone know what the problem is based on the information above? It sounds like the upgrade is a dud, since it won't update using either the phone or the desktop software.

Sep 1, 2010Just thought I'd pass this along since when I tried to find it the other day on RIM's website I couldn't. If you want to download the ribbon icon for the built in Blackberry Maps you can go to http://www.blackberry.com/send/maps from your phone's browser to install it.I know when the phone was first released on AT&T people had speculated that it wasn't at mobile.blackberry.com because AT&T didn't want it there but it seems that they just hadn't updated the maps website for the Torch yet. BTW, it's still not at mobile.blackberry.com.

Sep 15, 2010I have crackberry.com as one of my favorites on my homescreen. well i log on to crackberry.com on the pc and try to email myself a wallpaper. so when i did it the first time i never got it and then my bb started to act weird, i would touch the top of a tray to close it and it would change pages, i would try to dial and when i push the 9 the 7 would pop up first, if i press the 3 the 1 would pop up first and so on and so on. it did the same thing the 2nd time i tried it.

Jan 11, 2011I got a 9800 mid december. Whenever I try to download an mp3 or pdf or anything that's more than 3 or 4 mb, the download goes up to about 30% and fails. Even when streaming music, some of the song is played, then suddenly I get a message saying the wireless network connection was disconnected or something. My service provider says all BBs have a download limit of 3 mb per file

Aug 30, 2010We purchased two 9800 Torch phones and both are having the same issue. Word, Excel, and PDF files all open fine on the devices. However, some emails will be received with attachments but the phone does not give the open or download attachment options. If you forward the message from the device, the attachment will still be attached. The issue is intermittent and I have not been able to pin down any consistently as I have received several emails with attachments successfully. The emails that will not give the attachment options also do not have the little paperclip on the email icon from the messages view. Again, hen this exact email is forwarded the attachment will arrive at the destination.
BES version 4.1.7.19
Both users had no issues on prior devices with multiple attachments opened daily.

I get this message "This page is only for OTA downloads using BlackBerry Browser, and it seems you are using some other browser." Aug 3, 2011My 9800 from ATT works great and I really like using this but the annoying aspect of the phone is that it randomly uninstalls my applications. Today, the Blackberry software gift, DriveSafe.ly enterprise edition uninstalled itself and it's no longer on my phone. The reason I know this is that when I go to the App world and click on the app, it says "download now" and if it was already there, it should say "already installed." This part of the Blackberry is my most annoying issue. Is there another way? With the free apps it's easy, just re-install. But with this one since it was gifted do I have to pay to get it re-install? I have not gone through a restore yet, hoping don't have to.

I have received messages stating a couple apps including App World have updates ready to download.I tap on the link to update App World, Im greeted with the There is a newer version available 3.0.0.xx Tapping update gives me the green circle working prompt with a network activity icon, then disappears and nothing happens. Checking the App status, app world is listed as version 2.x.x, so clearly it is not updating. The device is logged into the BB account, and the terms and conditions has been accepted.I have tried downloading the app world update, and also facebook and BBM updates, on both my wireless carrier network and my home WiFi, with the same green working circle, and then nothing.
