View 1 RepliesI got a 9800 mid december. Whenever I try to download an mp3 or pdf or anything that's more than 3 or 4 mb, the download goes up to about 30% and fails. Even when streaming music, some of the song is played, then suddenly I get a message saying the wireless network connection was disconnected or something. My service provider says all BBs have a download limit of 3 mb per file

When I got my 9800 I used DM to do the device switch from my 9000. Now all I have in my Contacts are emails addresses. No phone numbers, none!, some contacts without emails addresses are just missing, and no home addresses. I thought all that info was on my sim card? I did do a back-up, but it says the file is an IPD and it won't open.

I just got my new phone (Lumia 900) today and so far I love it! I transferred my music via Zune but when my old phone an N900 died I copied my contacts list onto my laptop. I have a folder of vCard files which I want to put on my new phone. I have connected via the USB cord but the phone doesn't appear on the list of drives etc. in windows explorer. For some reason it appears in devices and drivers, but I can't drag an drop into it. What I need is a similar thing to the sync option in Zune. To be clear this is my list of phone contact numbers only, not email etc.

I have downloaded the desktop software for BB twice and reinstalled. No luck. I am unable to find where to enable mass storage under options. There is only a option for media card but nothing regarding Mass Storage.
My Issue is as the above subject header reads. Also, the BB Knowledge Base Article KB23925 says its aware of this problem, however, has no time frame for resolution.Ok guys can we hurry up! Its rendering my ability to use this device dramatically as I am a exclusive Mac User. I have to keep another phone with me to reference #'s and email addresses!Does anyone have a suggestion(s), besides buy an iPhone? )

View 2 Replies View RelatedDoes the Torch 9800 have the ability to link to a computer so you can access the internet on your computer remotely?
My wife has an iPhone which does this seamlessly (they call it "Tethering"). Went to the Telus store and the sales person claimed the Torch can do this but could not find the feature. I have spent 3 hours and cannot figure it out either.
Trying to find a way to download my contacts from my iphone to either excel, word..something I can print out.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI received an email link for the BB 6.x upgrade today and tried to upgrade it from the phone but it won't allow it and says to use the desktop manager. When I try the desktop manager, it says there are no updates for my device. The OTASL diagnostic update says " request failed 22c67b020110512204609 01 of 01". Original Error: Failed to transmit, Connectivity: Server Busy Sufficient Coverage: yes.
Does anyone know what the problem is based on the information above? It sounds like the upgrade is a dud, since it won't update using either the phone or the desktop software.
I have recently purchased a BB Torch 9800, but can't download an app from the handset despite having created a BB ID. When I do try I keep getting an error message advising me to try later?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust thought I'd pass this along since when I tried to find it the other day on RIM's website I couldn't. If you want to download the ribbon icon for the built in Blackberry Maps you can go to http://www.blackberry.com/send/maps from your phone's browser to install it.I know when the phone was first released on AT&T people had speculated that it wasn't at mobile.blackberry.com because AT&T didn't want it there but it seems that they just hadn't updated the maps website for the Torch yet. BTW, it's still not at mobile.blackberry.com.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have crackberry.com as one of my favorites on my homescreen. well i log on to crackberry.com on the pc and try to email myself a wallpaper. so when i did it the first time i never got it and then my bb started to act weird, i would touch the top of a tray to close it and it would change pages, i would try to dial and when i push the 9 the 7 would pop up first, if i press the 3 the 1 would pop up first and so on and so on. it did the same thing the 2nd time i tried it.
View 8 Replies View RelatedCan't find the download folder. Don't even see an option anywhere. Contacts didn't sync with phone numbers, only email addresses. ALL of MY apps didn't switch from 9000 to 9800. Haven't been able to set up BB email or GMail. No themes transfered. The 'option' page is strange..nothing like 9000, can't even find memory, etc. Anyone got theirs figured out yet?
View 12 Replies View RelatedSince I got my Torch, I have had problems with Appworld:
1. The app itself cannot be download for OS6. It states "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry App World."When will this be available?
2. Downloading apps via the web page results in an email that gets sent that redirects me to the page to get the email sent to me again... so, I can't download the app this way, either.
My Torch 9800 cannot lnk to the pc for download the apps, it always said my plug-in is not install. Even i installed, it take years tnot even to connect my phone to pc.
