My wife has discovered that issue when she tried to attach a 35 second video to a text message. She just switched from an iPhone which didn't have any issues with sending and receiving longer videos.
(yes, I'm fully aware of "reduce the resolution for smaller size, but it's already at lowest it lets me, even if I DON'T need a 720p video)
I keep getting a message to try again, but to no avail....

I have rang them several times regarding this problem and they have checked that all is ok at there end and say that the APN settings need doing. I have done this and still nothing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would love to use a Lumia and to be able to send sms through Nokia Suite by connecting bthrough usb cable and also by bluetooth.I connect my Nokia Belle phones almost every day by bluetooth and send sms.The freedom to do that is long implemented i my daily life and the reason is plain simple;while surfing on the pc, checking business stuff, writing messages or whatever and not have to pick up the phone is such easy task, not to mention how easy it is too use the keyboard of the pc and the speed and accuracy of writing...people who like me have done this for years,surely will miss this feature or whatever you want to call it.

I was unable to enclose it in a text, or an email on the phone. I moved it to my computer but still was unable to email it as it was to large. I tried zipping it, raring it but could find no way to send it.
There has to be a way to reduce the size of a video as I can with photo's.

I was in Kenya for 4 weeks, it worked fine there both with my regular sim card and a Kenyan one. When I got to the airport in Istanbul I could no longer send messages.
I tried again in Munich and then when I got back home to Sweden- still doesn't work!
I downloaded an upgrade to see if that would work but nope- still nothing.
I picked up a new N8 about a month ago and I love it. The one thing that has absolutely been bugging the **bleep** out of me is sending SMS messages. In conversation if I send a message longer than a line or two, it fails to send and sits in my outbox as failed (resending from here does not work).If I want to send this message I have to move it to my drafts, and then hit send. If the text still fails to send and recieves a sending error then returns to my outbox as failed, I then have to move it to drafts, select >options>sending options> and manually change it to a multimedia message and then send it.

As of today while I was out at work I went to use it to send a text and they keyboard would no longer change orientation when I flipped the phone sideways. Nothing would rotate anymore, photos, web pages; its as if the rotation setting is not working. I looked to find one but I can't. I've heard a few issues on various forums like WPcentral about this and that it might be a software bug, and a search of this forum has another user whose rotation doesn't work, but I don't know why this would have just started, and I've tried hard resets and soft resets and nothing seems to fix it.I would really like some information about this or a possible fix, as this is really killing the useability of the phone - that along with the random restarts which happen several times a day on average.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSince the OS update for the 920, the "display+touch" feature does not work properly. When I tap on it, the message "display+touch can't be opened. An app update may be available" is presented. I have attempted to update the app via QR but am presented with the message "share." I have done few soft resets but the problem persists. I have asked for help in other forums, but the issue remains. Is it possible that a future "display+touch" update may solve the problem? In lieu of that, can someone offer another suggestion? I would hate to do a hard reset and end up with a "bricked" phone.

I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.

I wanted to fast forward the song and move to some location in the song. I could see the player slider bar when the songs playing but i cannot use my slider to skip through to a particular location in the song or the video. I have not found any ways to send short videos via MMS from the Lumia 800. The MMS send functionality seem to be limited to pictures.The old Nokia N95 had this beautiful functionality that it somehow compressed HD videos, so you could send them within the MMS size limit. This functionality were removed on the later Nokia Symbian phones, but it was still possible to send videos if you recorded them with low quality.

She really wants video calling, and while, my phone is capable of it, it doesn't have the comfort of skype, so we have no choice but to use 3G+ video calling through the operator, which should be fine with my subscription, except, her Lumia doesn't seem to work with this variety of video calling. .
I can use my phone to video call other phones, but not a Windows Phone. Our operator's Customer Service agents aren't exactly familiar with Windows Phone, so they seem clueless. I can't resort to Skype-to-operator type of calling, because then I'd have to pay for Skype Credits AND her 3G. .
In a nutshell, I need ideo calling without using Skype or Tango.

I've been able to transfer video from my 920 to laptop fine via bluetooth. Filesize range from 28mb to 40mb. Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I've been looking for a free ftp client but I can't any. I created an html form but when I visited the form, the browse window doesn't popup.
