Apr 19, 2010I have a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic that is 3 months old And I've had no problems with it until recently.It has come to my attention that When I send smiley faces or winks such as ^___^ or ^___~, the ^ and ~ signs do not show up to whomever i send the text message to and only the underscore ___ is seen by the reciever. In my inbox it shows those symbols but in the reciever's inbox it's just an underscore. I'm not sure if that happens to other characters since i mainly use those two.I update the software/firmware (I'm not familiar with the terminology) frequently. So I'm not sure if this problem is just the phone that I recieved or if not all phones could recieve the ^ /~ sign (i doubt it though).

Jan 3, 2012i bought a lumia800 from amazon and it turns out to be a german tmobile lumia800, i am able to use it with my at&t sim tho, but i couldnt get my voicemail or use the internet, i eventually used nokia network setup app to configure all those operator specific stuff. so now evrything works fine.except that i cannot send/recieve mms messages.

Nov 19, 2012I got my Lumia 920 and sent a few texts but found that if you type past 2 messages in one session and try to send, it comes back as saying it can't send. I tried resending but it won't go.
To send, I had to copy the message, delete the message, paste it in the field then resend. That works.
An update for the SMS+Messaging app came a few days ago but hasn't fixed the problem cause I tried sending a 3 message text and it did the same thing. Had to again copy the message, delete then send quickly.

When I have typed an email or text I cannot send what i have typed by using the software 'send' button (little button in lower left corner with envelope symbol). Instead i have to press the capacitive 'back' button and then press 'send'. Not a major problem but its very irritating when trying to text quickly.

May 25, 2012I can't send SMS with the famous "Can't send, try again" message popping up 10 minutes later. Extremely annoying, especially considering that I am able to receive messages, no problem. As soon as I switch the data connection off - the problem disappears. SMS Centre number is fine. I read somewhere that it might be due to linked contacts having different values of "mobile number" in different profiles. That was the case, but nothing changed even after I deleted the mobile numbers in all but one profile in the linked group.I love my white lumia, but this really makes me want to throw it against a wall. Please help me and save this innocent piece of hardware

Anyways, I can make calls and receive calls, and have tested this out numerous times. However when I go to send or receive texts, it shows them as sent, but the other person does not get a text, and vice versa. I'm 100% sure that everyone is texting the correct number, and have tried turning the phone on and off.

Dec 10, 2012My default Microsoft account will not send emails, it syncs incoming mail just fine but for outgoing mail it always returns a windows phone reply saying that the message cant be sent and is saved in drafts. I tried setting a my yahoo mail acc as my default but it doesn't work either. In fact the messages are just moved to the outbox folder and stay there. No windows phone reply, nothing.
