I've had my Lumia 920 for about a month now - it is a German Vodafone model. As of today while I was out at work I went to use it to send a text and they keyboard would no longer change orientation when I flipped the phone sideways. Nothing would rotate anymore, photos, web pages; its as if the rotation setting is not working. I looked to find one but I can't. I've heard a few issues on various forums like WPcentral about this and that it might be a software bug, and a search of this forum has another user whose rotation doesn't work, but I don't know why this would have just started, and I've tried hard resets and soft resets and nothing seems to fix it.I would really like some information about this or a possible fix, as this is really killing the useability of the phone - that along with the random restarts which happen several times a day on average.
Purcahsed 9810 on 10/25/2011 and have noticed if I open slider to use Qwery keyboard I will then lose the ability to use the virtual keyboard until I pull the battery. Also noticed that screen will no longer rotate. Bad device? Software issue in OS 7?
I've only had my Lumia 710 for two weeks. Up until 4 days ago, the touch screen focus attribute was working perfectly. I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.
I have an unlocked 1520 running Denim(not Preveiw for Developers). For some reason whenever I switch to wide-mode and back the screen takes at least several seconds, sometimes 5-6 seconds to rotate. Is there any way to get the screen to rotate faster?
I want to be able to rotate my N85's screen diretion at will (by pressing a button). Is this feature included? Is there an ap for it (don't mind if I have to pay).Already tried the apps "RotateMe" and "Landscape Pro" but these don't work with FP2 devices (like N85).
I am very happy with my 5230, but there is one thing I would like to know whether it is normal or not. My screens are rotating when in turn the device, that is okay, but except the home screen. The home screen is always in portrait mode whatever the position of the phone is. Can this be changed?
I'm having a problem with my Nokia X7. It does not rotate the screen as it is programmed to do..! I have update it to Symbian Belle in case it will work again but still nothing.!
After PR1.1 the dialer rotates to landscape mode on the N8, but the call screen that comes up after this, is still in portrait mode.
Yet, on the C6, the call screen also rotates to landcape mode with PR1.1 (see screenshot of C6 call screen in landscape mode) Why does the C6 call screeen rotate landscape yet the N8 does not?
In the past few days, the following things have happened.....
-Email notifications no longer show up on my lock screen or the email tile. They used to, now they don't. All the setting are unchanged. -I get notifications that my phone is running out of storage space. I'm using 6GB out of 32, AND I have a 32GB card installed. -Battery drains like someone shot a hole in it. Even plugged in to the USB port on my computer, it's slowly dying. This, of course, makes the back hot to the touch. -I can't attach pictures to text messages anymore.
I'm not enrolled in any preview program, I didn't install anything strange, I didn't receive any notification updates, just business as usual until things went bad.
If your answer is going to be "hard reset" or something
I got a Nokia 5233.2 days ago, I noticed that the Auto Rotate Screen is not working again. It was working fine all the time.I checked the settings, Sensor is activated, and also Auto-rotate screen is checked, but it's not working.
My wife has discovered that issue when she tried to attach a 35 second video to a text message. She just switched from an iPhone which didn't have any issues with sending and receiving longer videos.
(yes, I'm fully aware of "reduce the resolution for smaller size, but it's already at lowest it lets me, even if I DON'T need a 720p video)
Since the OS update for the 920, the "display+touch" feature does not work properly. When I tap on it, the message "display+touch can't be opened. An app update may be available" is presented. I have attempted to update the app via QR but am presented with the message "share." I have done few soft resets but the problem persists. I have asked for help in other forums, but the issue remains. Is it possible that a future "display+touch" update may solve the problem? In lieu of that, can someone offer another suggestion? I would hate to do a hard reset and end up with a "bricked" phone.
Recently bought my wife a 1320, as my son loves his 920 and she was getting sick of her Galaxy S3 having issues following an update, which has messed her phone up !All was going well, but she's now finding that the phone won't auto-rotate when browsing - it works fine when viewing photos or texting etc., so assume the accelerometers are working ok..
Also, have changed settings on outlook, to remove US holidays and have added UK holidays, but the UK dates haven't pulled through to the phone......am I missing something `?Lastly - blootooth keeps dropping out.
i read about this before but i can't fix this. My phone won't rotate and when i take pictures they rotate in the album. I try safe mode, factory reset and it didn't work.
i just got no where to go with my 5800 problem. I just got my phone more than a year ago and it's over the warranty. I love this phone so much but just recently, the touh screen is no longer detecting. I mean, sometimes it will but mostly it doesn't. Can you help me? What do i need to do? replace the screen or will this be fixed? i need your responce asap.
my screen does not rotate when i flip my iphone...not just when sending txt or so, but also when watching Internet etc.browsed the menus, but did not find anything.
I can't rotate my screen. Normally when you hold the torch in the other way, the screen turns with. But mine doesn't do that anymore. I already did the battery out and restart but still it doesn't work.
I'm owner of a 8220 and so far the device is OK for daily business. Sometimes, as I read websites or a document like PDF I wonder if there is a possibility to rotate the screen. Can You tell if it's possible (or not) to rotate the screen to read or watch in horizontal format?
Today I removed my battery to reset and the screen will rotate for a short period of time then stops. Reset again its OK but after a short time it wont rotate.
So I woke up this morning and my Xperia Play is stuck in Landscape and it won't rotate back to potrait. I've tried the old turn off and back on again as well as removed the battery...
