Xperia Z2 :: Phone Won't Rotate But When Take Pictures They Rotate In The Album
Nov 1, 2015
i read about this before but i can't fix this. My phone won't rotate and when i take pictures they rotate in the album. I try safe mode, factory reset and it didn't work.
When I take a picture using the camera on z5 premium in portrait mode when I then send this picture on via any method... FB, VIBER, WHATSAPP, MESSENGER, EMAIL it rotates the picture 90 degrees. I have cleared thw cache turned phone on /off but no good. Its driving me mad my old z3compact didnt do this.
Screen auto-rotation function have problem on my phone. After several restarts and on/off the function it starts working finally but not for long. After changing the application or turning off the screen again stops working. I did Factory reset, repairing...no use.
i ahve this neo v phone for almost 4 now... after i do the upgrade to ics this problem comes out.. during a charging my phone keeps on auto rotating even if i disabled the autorotation on settings.. i repair the software through pc companion and stil the problem exists..
After the 5.1 update, i noticed that videos don't rotate when the phone is held horizontally. also i made a video call and when i rotated the phone the screen became unresponsive and kept going on and off unless when i held the phone in a certain angle which i cant figure out, i dont know if this issue has been there the whole time because the first video call i made on the phone (via skype) was after the update. also when i unlock the screen sometimes the colors fade and become lighter, and the screen itself freezes for 2 seconds.
So I took pictures on my iPhone 3GS while on iOS 5.1 and rotate perfectly fine after importing using Windows Explorer. I updatedf my phone a couple days ago to iOS 5.1.1 and tried importing but now getting a error through Windows saying "You cannot rotate this image. The file might be in use or open in another program, or the file or folder might be read only".
No other programs are open, photo and folder properties are set correctly, admin user account, tried disconnecting my iPhone and restarting the computer but still unable to rotate or save it. I also tried right clicking the photo and chose "Open With" and selected PictureViewer and also under Windows Photo Viewier. In these programs it will rotate but will not save. I also deleting the photos and reimported again but still have the same problem.
I imported some pics from my PC to my bold but they are rotated 90°. On the bold i can rotate them but they wont stay that way. I even rotated them on the PC and imported them again but that didnt work.Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have discovered that all of the pictures that I take in portrait orientation once emailed to someone they are switched to landscape. The pictures can not be rotated back to the proper orientation with out opening Paint program and rotating them manually. I take hundreds and thousands of pics of my life (kids, vacations etc..) and do not want to have to manipulate them later on once moved to my computer. If you lower the picture quality to 6mp it fixes the problem, also if you shoot the pic in HDR mode. I should not have to do this to make it work. Fail.
So I woke up this morning and my Xperia Play is stuck in Landscape and it won't rotate back to potrait. I've tried the old turn off and back on again as well as removed the battery...
I have recently got a xperia z5 and found out that the camera is only in landscape and can't seem to change to auto rotate so can take pictures vertical or landscape. I hope that I don't have to always take pics in landscape.
Had this phone less than 2 weeks, auto rotate worked fine. Â it will not work with any of the features on the phone now, even with it switched on. Â Â Tried an app from the app store , this works fine.
I've tried monitoring CPU frequency with auto rotate on and off and noticed that with auto-rotate on if that phone is being moved about then the CPU cores all ramp up quite a bit. Â To re-create: use on-screen cpu frequency monitor*shake* the phone in front of you whilst watching CPU frequencywith phone locked portrait I have 4 small + 1 big at 384 Mhz.with auto rotate I get 4 small cores at 1500 and 2 big core at 1.5-1.8The only record I can find of this kind of bug online is some entries in Google's bug databases for the Nexus S back in 2013-2014. Â What does this mean? well, assuming you don't have rock-steady hands, or perhaps you want to use your phone in a dash-clamp in the car, this random CPU spiking with drain the battery and heat up the phone for no reason!
I've been able to get a notable increase in battery and reduced heat output of my phone by leaving rotate off unless I really need it, but this is clearly an issue that needs to resolved.
My screen rotate does not work. I tried everything but... I think that sensor does not work properly because it doesn't matter that auto rotate is on .
Recently bought my wife a 1320, as my son loves his 920 and she was getting sick of her Galaxy S3 having issues following an update, which has messed her phone up !All was going well, but she's now finding that the phone won't auto-rotate when browsing - it works fine when viewing photos or texting etc., so assume the accelerometers are working ok..
Also, have changed settings on outlook, to remove US holidays and have added UK holidays, but the UK dates haven't pulled through to the phone......am I missing something `?Lastly - blootooth keeps dropping out.
My phone just fell from about two feet up and nothing physically happened to it. The only thing that happened is that it won't rotate anymore. I checked the auto rotate function and it is not on "portrait".
My xperia-play has been updated to Android 2.3.3 by pc companion from 2.3.2, however, the "home screen" is still upright↑ instead of horizontal ↔ if I circumvolve the phone. In Sony Ericsson the new update will give : New themes and Landscape mode for your home screen. I don't get them.
I have a storm2 that was replaced a few times and the current one is the those newer issued ones with the improved touch screen. I've had it for about 2 months and my accelerometer doesn't work anymore it seems like it blew out. My phone won't rotate and if it does it stays locked and I have to open an app that only works in portrait mode. Does anyone else have this issue? What do I do?
I just recently fixed this same issue with my Nexus 7, but this is a whole different beast. I used Check My Android to check my accelerometers, and they are functioning just fine. I cleared my cache and then cleared/reformatted the partition. Then I did a factory reset because I was losing my mind. It's still not working. I went into the display settings to turn on the auto rotate manually and it will rotate with that screen up but not on my home screen or in any other app.
