View 2 RepliesDidn't think I would be back so fast, but I have another issue that suddenly started happening.
My auto-rotate stopped working. Was working fine the last 24 hours, give or take. Which is the duration of how long I've had the device.
I checked all the settings, and googled around, so I restarted my phone, now it works again.
My screen rotate does not work. I tried everything but... I think that sensor does not work properly because it doesn't matter that auto rotate is on .
View 9 Replies View RelatedScreen auto-rotation function have problem on my phone. After several restarts and on/off the function it starts working finally but not for long. After changing the application or turning off the screen again stops working. I did Factory reset, repairing...no use.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've searched and tried about everything. The screen will not rotate. I attempted safe mode and got an error that xperia home has stopped.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just recently fixed this same issue with my Nexus 7, but this is a whole different beast. I used Check My Android to check my accelerometers, and they are functioning just fine. I cleared my cache and then cleared/reformatted the partition. Then I did a factory reset because I was losing my mind. It's still not working. I went into the display settings to turn on the auto rotate manually and it will rotate with that screen up but not on my home screen or in any other app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI posted this elsewhere earlier today and I think it was in the wrong place. Anyway, I've had my one x about 3 weeks and now the auto rotate has stopped working. The "auto rotate" box is checked and I've tried the "G-Sensor calibration". When I try this, the levels "jiggle" and then I get a message "Calibration aborted"
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem after updating to v. 7.1.0.342.After the update everything was fine. Now about a week later the auto rotate does not work any longer.I have removed the battery for a restart but i am still having the same problem .When i pay a game like Angry Pigs (That rotate the screen) it stays that way untill I slide open the phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince my last software update my G Sensor has stopped working, and as a result, my screen will not auto rotate. The top G sensor level (horizontal) is stuck to the far left but the bottom one works.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHad my SII for 3 days now and am loving it but as of 2 hours ago my screen will no longer auto-rotate.
Earlier, via orange swapables, I was watching skysports with the screen held horizontally with no problems at all. Even after that I was sending a message using swype (what a cool feature by the way), holding it horizontally.
Since then I've not been able to rotate the screen. It is set to on via the notifications panel and under the settings menu.
I've put a new Case Mate Tough Case on as of this morning but was watching the football after I had put the case on. I have since tried removing the case to see if it works without, but with no luck.
I've checked the firmware and stuff and am running all the latest versions.
I've done the keypad *#0*# and checked the sensor test page, accelerometer, gyroscope sensor and magnetic sensor are showing different figures as I move the phone around but the image test does not rotate.
Under settings > display I've ran the calibration tests and they all ran fine.
So pretty much my auto rotate doesn't work even when its ticked or un-ticked and re-ticked, I even rebooted and nothing. Funny thing is that the accelerometer seems to work when I try a game that uses it..
Back story to what I did is I flashed factory 5.0 and tried to root flashing SuperSU but found it didn't work so had to use CF auto root to finally get root working. I then installed all my apps and just used Titanium backup to restore data to my apps not system data. I didn't realized it wasn't working till recently. Preferably not having to refresh everything...
As soon as I updated phone to latest firmware, auto rotate stopped working. Previous firmware I had was v21. I made update through Nokia Ovi Suite. I tried several methods to restore auto rotate:
1. restore factory settings (soft reset)
2. unmark auto rotate, restart, mark auto rotate
3. removing battery for few minutes
4. finally tried hard reset
And auto rotate is still not working. Is there anything else that can be done to enable auto rotate again?
I got a Nokia 5233.2 days ago, I noticed that the Auto Rotate Screen is not working again. It was working fine all the time.I checked the settings, Sensor is activated, and also Auto-rotate screen is checked, but it's not working.

Is there no way you can turn off the auto rotate from the quick settings when in landscape mode? It only seems to do it in portrait...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently got a xperia z5 and found out that the camera is only in landscape and can't seem to change to auto rotate so can take pictures vertical or landscape. I hope that I don't have to always take pics in landscape.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHad this phone less than 2 weeks, auto rotate worked fine.
it will not work with any of the features on the phone now, even with it switched on.
Tried an app from the app store , this works fine.
I've tried monitoring CPU frequency with auto rotate on and off and noticed that with auto-rotate on if that phone is being moved about then the CPU cores all ramp up quite a bit.
To re-create: use on-screen cpu frequency monitor*shake* the phone in front of you whilst watching CPU frequencywith phone locked portrait I have 4 small + 1 big at 384 Mhz.with auto rotate I get 4 small cores at 1500 and 2 big core at 1.5-1.8The only record I can find of this kind of bug online is some entries in Google's bug databases for the Nexus S back in 2013-2014.
What does this mean? well, assuming you don't have rock-steady hands, or perhaps you want to use your phone in a dash-clamp in the car, this random CPU spiking with drain the battery and heat up the phone for no reason!
I've been able to get a notable increase in battery and reduced heat output of my phone by leaving rotate off unless I really need it, but this is clearly an issue that needs to resolved.
Recently bought my wife a 1320, as my son loves his 920 and she was getting sick of her Galaxy S3 having issues following an update, which has messed her phone up !All was going well, but she's now finding that the phone won't auto-rotate when browsing - it works fine when viewing photos or texting etc., so assume the accelerometers are working ok..
Also, have changed settings on outlook, to remove US holidays and have added UK holidays, but the UK dates haven't pulled through to the phone......am I missing something `?Lastly - blootooth keeps dropping out.
My phone just fell from about two feet up and nothing physically happened to it. The only thing that happened is that it won't rotate anymore. I checked the auto rotate function and it is not on "portrait".
