Oct 5, 2012I bought a new nokia lumia 800 last monday. I have added few songs and video through zune and i started playing those songs. I wanted to fast forward the song and move to some location in the song. I could see the player slider bar when the songs playing but i cannot use my slider to skip through to a particular location in the song or the video. I thought it could be a software issue and I updated the player but still the problem exists.

I understand that Zune is the way to do this, so I downloaded the Zune install package and transferred it to my laptop. However Zune refuses to install as my laptop does not have its own internet connection. I'm now stuck.
Why does Zune require an internet connection? Is there an alternative transfer method that doesn't have this restriction?

The MMS send functionality seem to be limited to pictures.The old Nokia N95 had this beautiful functionality that it somehow compressed HD videos, so you could send them within the MMS size limit. This functionality were removed on the later Nokia Symbian phones, but it was still possible to send videos if you recorded them with low quality.

Dec 25, 2012I bought a Lumia 900 for my girlfriend. She really wants video calling, and while, my phone is capable of it, it doesn't have the comfort of skype, so we have no choice but to use 3G+ video calling through the operator, which should be fine with my subscription, except, her Lumia doesn't seem to work with this variety of video calling. .
I can use my phone to video call other phones, but not a Windows Phone. Our operator's Customer Service agents aren't exactly familiar with Windows Phone, so they seem clueless. I can't resort to Skype-to-operator type of calling, because then I'd have to pay for Skype Credits AND her 3G. .
In a nutshell, I need ideo calling without using Skype or Tango.

Nov 28, 2012I've been able to transfer video from my 920 to laptop fine via bluetooth. Filesize range from 28mb to 40mb. Those are like 10-15 second 1080p recording.Yesterday, I captured a video for almost 5 mins. I am not sure how big the file is but bluetooth just quits and doesn't even initiate the connection. I've been looking for a free ftp client but I can't any. I created an html form but when I visited the form, the browse window doesn't popup.

Dec 7, 2012Having fits with my Verizon Nokia 822. Tried to take some videos today & then watch them on the phone. Took 4 videos, 2 saved to my Sandisk 64gb class 10 card, 2 saved to the phone. Took 720 & 1080 video's all 4 videos are very choppy on playback. They skip most of what is recorded. Phone also duplicates music, photo's & video's like crazy! I have 10+ copies of pictures & songs on my phone, it stops duplicating videos at 3 copies!

Nov 15, 2012Does anyone have XBOX Video purchases working on their Lumia 920? I have purchased several TV shows and movies, all of which play fine on my desktop, laptop, and Microsoft Surface. Some of the video is from the Zune store and one of the videos is from the XBOX store on Windows 8. Regardless of how I purchased the content, I get the following message: "We are unable to confirm the media usage rights for this content."
If it matters, I have a Lumia 920 on AT&T in the U.S.

Oct 27, 2014Even though I can take photos, whenever I try to shoot video it focuses and then nothing happens - the timer stays at zero. My 1020 I'd fresh out of the box today. This happened both when I tap the screen, tap the video button, or press the camera button on the side. The Windows video app works, but I need to use Nokia video for the editing capabilities ( plus it's just better, I upgraded from a 920 so I'm not new to Windows devices).

Dec 27, 2012So I'm having my Nokia Lumia 710 from 2012 February. I tried to record videos but there are 2 different ways how my phone handles it. After making a video, it freezes (The screen freezes, the last picture of the video is visible, it's probably saving) and than, the video is gone. The phone locks itself, and the video+music library doesn't contain my video. The phones saves my video (happened only a few times...), but when I'm looking it back (on PC and on phone) it's lagging, and pictures fall out... Seconds fall out from the video, but the sound is running. The picture freezes sometimes, and the sound is running.

Sep 8, 2012I was given my nokia lumia 800 as a Christmas present last year so I've had it 9 months now as up until this problem its been a great phone. Yesterday I went to watch a video and there was no sound, I checked the volume settings, made sure the volume was up to fall and I even reset my phone. If I put my ear the speaker I can just about hear it. If I make a phone call I can hear the other person fine but if I put them on loud speaker I can't so its the speaker on the bottom of the phone.

User manual downloaded from Nokia (107 pages!) says an attachment to a text message can be saved by touching "..." and then 'save to phone' but "..." and no other options appear when tapping the video or the enclosing text message. That user interface does work for photo images received in a text message but not for videos.

Mar 26, 2014I am having two problems with Nokia Camera on my Icon. When recording a video in Nokia Camera. I have found that it isn't recording sound.When recording a video in Nokia Camera, it takes about 5 seconds after hitting the record button for it to actually start recording.
I am not sure how to replicate the issue because it has only happened a few times and it will fix itself by restarting the phone.
When it does happen it will happen every time I record a video through Nokia Camera until a reboot. I at least now figured out that if I hit record and there is a delay between it actually starting to record, then the sound will not be recorded so a restart is necessary.
I can still record through the WP camera app and audio will be recorded, but this is a huge problem for me. I have about 5 videos that I have taken in the past week that were actually pretty important that have no sound now.
I uninstalled Nokia Camera and reinstalled and it still did it. Is this a Nokia Camera bug or an Icon bug?

Dec 3, 2015Like the title says, how do you possibly delete the video call history in the integrated Skype Video app? The history shows, but when you long press on one it just pops up "details." There is no way to delete the history. If you go into phone settings and under privacy turn off access to call history for Messaging+Skype, then app will no longer load/work.
