Nokia Nseries :: Unable To Add SEND Button For Service Commands?
Aug 13, 2012
Would it be possible to add a "send" button at the bottom middle for service command view?Service command is the menu you get when you phone a *123# number for example.Currently you have to select your number/option by typing it and then select "Options" and select send. There are just two buttons currently in that view (Back and Options) on the Symbian Belle interface. My old Nokia had a dedicated send button Anyway, would really make things easier because these type op menu's are used by the mobile banking sites and to check my cellphone account balances.
I just acquired my N900 two days ago from a Nokia authorised dealer in Nigeria and even convinced a colleague to pick one yesterday as well.I live in Nigeria and my GSM operator is etisalat, im presently experiencing difficulties with using service commands on my phone. For instance, when i dial *235(hash, sorry cant find the symbol on my macbook pro) to check my balance; i get an error message saying "number incorrect". Other service commands dont also work. Is there a way around this?
Its frustrating also that there is no official Nokia plugin for isync. I use a macbook pro and cant seem to find a way around syncing both devices. In the interim, I found www.salling.com very useful in transferring my media files.
I have nokia 701 belle and I cant send any application .jar or .sis via bluetooth. It says "unable to send protected object" I think they are not protected or copyrighted..

I just bought a 6700 but i cant send text messages. When i send something, it sends as normal but the receiver does not receive. I can receive texts as normal though.
My Xperia Play is not recognizing volume up commands sent from the button. As my rocker already dropped out months ago, I tried pressing the button directly with a pen. No response.
Quick question I have a nokia N95 phone but it wont let me send messages it puts them in the outbox, says a resend time then says failed and comes up with un able to send... When I press details it says "General: memory full. Close some applications and try again".... I have no applications

I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. It did it again 10pm Wednesday night and is still the same and its Friday xx I have posted this message on facebook and got told to ask here. I don't know if there is already a topic on this, but I really want to sort this problem out. I have always had Ionians and they have usually been very reliable...
I want to disable the voice commands when the off hook button on my headset is pressed.I use an audio book player and pressing the headset button is supposed to pause / play the book. Instead the voice command stuff comes on. How can I turn it off?
I have a N8 that was recently updated to Symbian Belle. Prior to that I had no problems but these days the phone has to be rebooted in order to make a call. I was wondering if a full factory reset was needed because this has happened numerous times this past week and today. I'm always having to reboot the phone to make a phone call or do anything else with the service. I use T Mobile so they don't have any outages I really believe this phone has problems.
i just got an Nokia N8 from a friend of mine, and i wanted to fully update it, but whenever i try to update it to Belle it gives an error saying "Nokia update suite service is unavailable", sometimes it reaches 119/124 mb, or 95/100 mb or 21/26 mb and then i get the error.and sometimes it reaches 124/124, 100/100, 26/26 mb but it then says "5000 minutes left to finish download" it stays at that point for about a minute and then i get the above mentioned error.if it matters the phone is from another country than my own.i searched all over the nokia discussions forum and i saw there were numerous similar posts, i did everything it was suggested there but it still hasnt worked.
I am unable to use Nokia Messaging service push email service on my Nokia after Belle Refresh install. I did a clean install and when ever I try to add email accounts its automatically taking IMAP or POP3 setup and not prompting me to use Nokia Messaging Service to send/receive email.IMAP / POP3 is fast but uses lots of data compared to Nokia Messaging Service (which is free from my provider and will not count towards data usage). I started noticing this problem since yesterday afternoon.
new Lumia 800, all is perfect with it except for 1 minor irritating issue. When I have typed an email or text I cannot send what i have typed by using the software 'send' button (little button in lower left corner with envelope symbol). Instead i have to press the capacitive 'back' button and then press 'send'. Not a major problem but its very irritating when trying to text quickly.
After updating anna's service pack I noticed that my battery wont last as long as before the update. I checked for any open programs but everything is closed. I did not install anything new since the update btw.
The problem is my camera capture button is not working on my N95 8 gb,so I am unable to take pics or record videos.i took it to the nokia care they say it has a dead risk if they tried to fix it. I can take pics or record videos without using the capture button. I have already updated the firmware.
I have a "brand new" 701 with 111.020.0307 that won't update to 111.030.0609 because I'm in Italy .
Now I have a really annoying bug: the menu key, sometimes, stops working and won't bring up the menu if pressed briefly, and won't bring up the task list either (when pressed long). Anyone experiencing this bug? The only way I found to make it work again is turn off and on again my phone... And the task list can't be found in menus, AFAIK. I could do that with my old 5800XM...
I bought my phone ONE WEEK ago... I really wouldn't like to format/reinstall already!
One day when I work up I noticed that the 3 buttons and the shortcut key light wasn't on.And I tried hard reset, update to the latest version, but all didn't work.
I had already reflashed my N8 3 times as of now on a nearest nokia care (I still thank it, coz its still under warranty)... But the prob "can't send SMS" still returning... It took a week and again... What's the prob on this N8 unit of nokia? They don't care about this? I think my N8 is nuts! I can't use it well... I had a already made other ways to overcome but still keep returning..
I had a curve 8310 on o2 and moved to a bold 9700 still on o2.When i moved i used the desktop manager and did the device switch over, all went well including bbm etc. However whenever i tried to send an email i recieved the error message 'transaction error failure at service' - I tried to log into my bis account online to update my pin but i couldnt log on! i havent changed the password or username since my old blackberry so i cant log on to change it online. on my blackberry when i try to log on to email settings it says the username field is blank!

I havent had the phone 2 weeks yet.Now i think that i need to call o2 again and ask them something like releasing my old pin maybe from my bis account or resetting the bis account, any ideas what i should do or the type of questions i need to ask o2 if i have to ring them again.
such app or utility that replicates the long press of menu button over n8 handset. That is to launch the running apps window or what some ppl call it multitasking window.I have been finding the long press idea a very incovenient ,so looking for an answer from the community as my knowledge is not even a drop in the ocean of information.
I am unable to change songs in the music player by simply pressing the button in the earphones provided with nokia 6700 slide. To change the current song, i have to goto the now playing song in the music player and then press the next button.
after upgrading to nokia belle on my n8 when i tap on the image to send it via bluetooth or mail it takes long time for it give the options of bluetooth, mail or msg ...it shows processing for a long time ....which wasnt the case with nna....nokia any updates on tht????
I picked up a new N8 about a month ago and I love it. The one thing that has absolutely been bugging the **bleep** out of me is sending SMS messages. In conversation if I send a message longer than a line or two, it fails to send and sits in my outbox as failed (resending from here does not work). If I want to send this message I have to move it to my drafts, and then hit send. If the text still fails to send and recieves a sending error then returns to my outbox as failed, I then have to move it to drafts, select >options>sending options> and manually change it to a multimedia message and then send it.
I registered on my phone first time to get Nokia Ovi service then forget my password then registered on Nokia account but i am unable to connect Nokia Ovi service
The thing is when I am using Nokia Maps 3.0 I can't use Wi-Fi as a connected service. I mean there is no option inside for using WLAN on Nokia Maps. Did anyone have this problem before?
I have a nokia Lumia 800 handset with airtel as service provider, I activated their GPRS data service (read edge) and I am not able to connect to internet, however earlier I had Vodafone and I never faced such issues with it,
