Nokia Nseries :: N8: Suite Update Service Unavailable

i just got an Nokia N8 from a friend of mine, and i wanted to fully update it, but whenever i try to update it to Belle it gives an error saying "Nokia update suite service is unavailable", sometimes it reaches 119/124 mb, or 95/100 mb or 21/26 mb and then i get the error.and sometimes it reaches 124/124, 100/100, 26/26 mb but it then says "5000 minutes left to finish download" it stays at that point for about a minute and then i get the above mentioned error.if it matters the phone is from another country than my own.i searched all over the nokia discussions forum and i saw there were numerous similar posts, i did everything it was suggested there but it still hasnt worked.
Software update on phone tells me to go online and get it done there. So I do and it downloads ok, all 272MB of it, but it keeps on disconnecting when trying to install to the N8. The phone switches off and stays off. I leave it for 10 minutes because of a post I seen just to be on the safe side but still nothing.
I can not make my N96 16GB work with Nokia PC Suite.I tried with the new one for NSeries and also the standard one 18.104.22.168All the time gives this message, on both softwares.

I'm trying to connect my phone via USB Cable CA-101.The cable works as USB Device, on MASS Storage mode.I changed the mode now to PC Suite and allways gives me this message, with option to retry or cancel... I can not stop unless I disconnect the usb cable
I've been trying for hours to update my N8 to Belle with the Nokia Suite installed from Nokia yesterday, but after the screen goes blank I end up in an endless loop of "Connection Lost" and retrying. I kept trying for over three hours yesterday, and again today. So, I tried to install via "Check for Updates" on the phone itself, but this says "No updates". Is there a way around this?
For a couple of days now, I haven't been able to update or install any apps from the Marketplace, since I've started to get this error: "Windows Live ID - service is unavailable right now. Please try again later". (translated from originally Finnish message). It has worked just fine earlier. Network is OK and pretty much everything else is working.
I've just bought a used phone the old users reset it back to factory settings,the phone is locked to T Mobile i recently got a new t mobile sim card it loads up fine but i notice that it says on mobile network 'network unavailble' seems to not be connected to a network even though it should be connected to T mobile.when i click on it in the operator selection i choose T Mobile but it says 'no access' i also cant make any calls on it when i do any call it says 'emergency calls only'
i purchased a Unlocked BB it worked fine for the last 5 days now it just wont make calls or text and says there no service currently unavalible.I have googled it and there seems to be alot but no answers.I have done everything told its definatly not my contract i can still conect to the internet and use bbm.
Protect doesn"t seem accessible on my Curve 9300. I get a message saying the Blackberry ID service is temporarily unavailable. the phone carrier is airtel (India) and I have reinstalled BB Protect about 8times with the same problem. The phone is personal and not on enterprice solution
I purchased a Blackberry Curve 9300 yesterday on pay as you go from Orange. I have activated my new sim card but when I put it in it says I am recieving Orange signal but I cannot make any calls/send any texts or set up my e-mail on there. When I try to do this it says 'Service Unavailable' but yet it lets me go on the internet browser. I have also tried my old Orange sim card in the phone and it's exactly the same.
from yesterday i'm having two problems, i got from twitter this message, Twitter Services are currently unavailable and from browser (( A network error occurred )) even the wifi working but i don't know why i can't browse anything.
I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
In the browser, from the "go to" page, I type a mobile site (ex: m.crackberry, m.twitter, mobile.blackberry) and it pops up withError 404: Service Unavailable...But whenever I click on a link to the sites from the desktop version it works fine.
Ive been trying to log-in to my blackberry onto Blackberry Protect, it will stay a while on Verifying email then it says: the Blackberry ID service is temporarily unavailable.I AM able to go to blackberry.com and on the top-right sign into MyBlackberry with no problem Also tried to download some Applications, when I get the screen to log on - keep getting ANother error. says email contains incorrect info. So I tried to register with a different email with Only letter and numbers...
I acquired an unlocked T-Mobile blackberry 9700 late last year and had our IT admin guy in NY adding new user license to the blackberry server and then the besadmin had generated activation password for me. I'm using local mobile phone network in Vietnam (Vinaphone) and had installed its service book into my BB. Nevertheless, after having put in my email address and keyed in the activation password, after pressing activate for about 2 minutes of "Acquiring service connection..." my BB keeps on telling me that "Activation request failed. A service connection is unavailable" although the communication receptions signals from my local mobile carrier is strong and I can browse internet and accessing gmail or yahoo mail using my BB (which mean internet connection is available).
I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.
If I go to the internet icon, click on it and then type in a web address, I get an error "http error 503 service unavailable the server is currently unable to handle your request". But if I click on the bookmark for google and type in the web address I'm trying to get to, it will go there.
I downloaded Ovi Suite 22.214.171.124 to replace my PC Suite. I should have read the threads here before doing so. Anyhow, although I regret making the decision to switch to Ovi Suite; however, I'm where I'm right now. So, I've been trying to update my Nokia E72 firmware for the last three days with no luck. Tried many times to check for updates while my E72 is connected. After a mintue or so I get the following error message: Nokia Ovi Suite software update service is not responding.
Make sure the internet connection is working or check your firewall settings, and try again later. I have Windows 7 Business. I've allowed Ovi Suite through all types of Windows firewall (Domain/Home/Work/Public). I also allowed Nokia Service Layer Host Process through the same thing. I have MS MSE as my antivirus program. I could be wrong, but it seems Ovi Suite didn't go through proper QA before being released. I guess Nokia needs to regain our confidence again once they do their next release of Ovi Suite.
I have problem to download maps into my phone (Nokia C6-00, last firmware v40.0.021). If I launch Ovi Suite (v126.96.36.199) and go to Maps section, screen "Connecting to the map service..." is displayed, but after while: "Couldn't connect to the service - There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service. If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later.".
I'm connected over WiFi and all is working normally. I tried connection over USB cable and bluetooth as well, restart computer and phone, reinstall Ovi Suite, format memory card, reinstall device software, reset to factory settings, full reset to initial state (*#7370#) but it wasn't worked.
Versions of the maps in my phone: v3.06 11wk13 b01 MW OpenGL MN Map version 0.2.44.110
If I launch maps in my phone and go to Update, there is option "Add new maps", after select appropriate map and click on Download is progress bar "Installing, please wait!" displayed, but process ends with error message "Map download failed!".
The N8 is supposed to be used with OVI Suite, but if possible, I'd also like to be able to use it with PC Suite. The latest version of PC Suite won't allow this (not compatible) but an older version seems to accept the N8. I saw in a discussion at Nokia Beta Labs that I can also install a late version of PC Suite. It's 32.2 megs in size. (The newer versions of PC Suite install on my computer, but tell me to use OVI Suite for my N8.)
With the version I downloaded from hotshare installed, PC Suite recognized my N8. It also displayed a message saying PC Suite must be updated to support new features, and told me to click on "help" and then the update link. I did that, and the next message was "Do you want to install PC Suite on your mobile phone (N8-00)?"
I am not able to copy all the inbox messages from nokia PC Suite to my nokia 808. When i am trying to copy the messages saved/synced with nokia PC Suite back to my mobile, only some messages are getting copied back to mobile and some are not getting copied.
due to crash after FP1, the phone died. At service they reinstalled the latest FW package and the Microsoft App disappeared. Even after Nokia Suite reinstalling of the FW nothing has changed. Does anyone have such an experience, have you found out how to fix it?
I have a new laptop coming and just wondered what is the best way to transfer Ovi Suite to it? I can download a fresh copy but this would lose the history.Is there any way that this can be done please? Forgot to say that my telephone is Nokia N8/Symbian.
I've looked, and so far, all I've found is an update that will installe Belle. I tried that once, and now my system pops up "System Error" every time I turn it on, so I don't want to try installing Belle again, in case something worse happens.

I've just spent 2 months wage on an N97 and i've spent the last 2 days trying to update to firmware 20 and it gives me an error.i've tried using nokia pc suite + update manager, ovisuite but nothing works.they detect my phone, they see it, download the firmware, start installing and after that it stops.What can I Do?
i am not able to connect my N8 to OVI Suite since I installed the Windows 8 Consumer Preview operating system. My USB port is working fine as I am able to charge and connect in media transfer mode. It just doesn't work when the OVI suite mode is enabled.how I can work around this please. I use OVI suite a lot as I do most of my messaging through the PC. When will Nokia release a new edition of the OVI Suite that will work well with Windows 8. On once occasion, I was able to reinstall OVI suite by right clicking and selecting Windows 7 in compatibility settings and by running the program as administrator. However, even that doesn't seem to be working anymore.
Today while browzing Nokia site happened to see new phone software version. When I checked through Nokia suite it was showing the software version that was already installed in the phone.Do anybody else who own a 701 came across this anamoly.My latest addition S3If my post has helped you please click the white star on the right
my n8 has this problem since 3 days.i m not able to connect any pendrive or drivevia usb otg cable.it says unsupported usb device.disconnect device.and moreover I m not able to connect my n8 on my pc or laptop it only charge the phone and does not support ovi suite or mass storage.nokia care is of no help.
