Jan 8, 2012I have nokia 701 belle and I cant send any application .jar or .sis via bluetooth. It says "unable to send protected object" I think they are not protected or copyrighted..

Aug 13, 2012Would it be possible to add a "send" button at the bottom middle for service command view?Service command is the menu you get when you phone a *123# number for example.Currently you have to select your number/option by typing it and then select "Options" and select send. There are just two buttons currently in that view (Back and Options) on the Symbian Belle interface. My old Nokia had a dedicated send button Anyway, would really make things easier because these type op menu's are used by the mobile banking sites and to check my cellphone account balances.

When I press details it says "General: memory full. Close some applications and try again".... I have no applications
open and have pressed and held the menu button to check and defiantly don't. I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. It did it again 10pm Wednesday night and is still the same and its Friday xx I have posted this message on facebook and got told to ask here. I don't know if there is already a topic on this, but I really want to sort this problem out. I have always had Ionians and they have usually been very reliable...

Jan 10, 2012I've only had this pig of a phone a month and twice I've had to restore factory settings because I couldn't send texts or see my contacts, which means that I also had to re-do all my settings.
The messages I've had are - Activity Contacts (in application Contacts) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! The application Messaging (process com.sonyericsson.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close
Turning the phone off and on doesn't help and the failing applications aren't there in Settings > Applications > Running Services, so I've performed Factory Data Reset, not SD card, then done all my settings again. This is really bugging me.
The phone is up to date, with Android version 2.3.4

Nov 6, 2011the problem i am posting here relates to ovi mail software..roblems being faced..1. you can not attach files more than a total of 2048 kb and neither can you download2. whenever you try to download any attachment you get a notification "UNABLE TO PERFORM OPERATION".3. when checking mails that have images attached to it and are meant to be automatically downloaded, the device shows the status of image being downloaded and the status constantly remains idle at 0% and after a few seconds the same notification as you get in the problem no. 2. is displayedits highly dissapointing on the part of nokia, that after a peson who has spent a sum of INR 23,000 is getting such softwares and i really dont think a customer is expecting such softwares/performance after spending INR 23,000 onto just a PHONE.I really dont know whether the customer who have purchased N 8 are aware of this issue persisting in their phones or probably i should say they dont explore thier devices well enogh.I never expected that i will be so dissapointed after spending so much of money onto a phone that does not facilitate me even with the basic functions.And lastly one thing that is relly notable is that the phones from nokia itself which cost between INR 10000-15000 does not have such restrictions for mail.

The strange thing about this is that the application "Guides" (also built with the suite of Nokia Maps 2.0) if you check the correct temperature.I was making comparisons and in Windows 7 the current temperature is 31 º C. Jan 6, 2012I did a partial restore using the Nokia Suite, selecting only the "Device settings an applications" content (I wanted to restore a theme that I wasn't able to download again without purchasing a second time). The restoral was successful and I have the theme back. The problem is that several other themes that I no longer want were also put back on my N8. Mar 16, 2012I've been using my N8 with my virgin mail account happily for about a year. Recently I've found that outgoing messages are getting stuck in the outbox. They sometimes send (several days later) after I have restarted my phone. I thought I would try removing the mail box and starting again, after a couple of attempts the mail box was removed, but when I tried to set it up again.
It seemed to hang in the middle of the task and I ended up with a mail box with a string of hexadecimal numbers as the mailbox name. Now I cannot remove it : whenever I try to remove it, I get as far as 'removing mailbox' and then it just hangs there (have left it overnight). Possibly related, I have had a couple of messages recently about phone memory being full, but if i look at it through file manager it has 116MB free, and nothing in there which looks like it could obviously be removed.

Oct 13, 2011I picked up a new N8 about a month ago and I love it. The one thing that has absolutely been bugging the **bleep** out of me is sending SMS messages. In conversation if I send a message longer than a line or two, it fails to send and sits in my outbox as failed (resending from here does not work).If I want to send this message I have to move it to my drafts, and then hit send. If the text still fails to send and recieves a sending error then returns to my outbox as failed, I then have to move it to drafts, select >options>sending options> and manually change it to a multimedia message and then send it.
