View 1 Repliesi'm continously getting a 'system error' message whenever i try to install some apps, such as nokia battery monitor, Internet downloader and fmobi. this occurence only began recently after updating to symbian anna. i've installed many other apps and can still install other apps but i seem to have a problem with a select few. i have attempted to uninstall and reinstall the apps and also done a delete and restore after backup but still no change.

The status bar gets to about 15% and then the installation is interrupted. I've tried using WiFi and non-WiFi connections, but the result remains the same. My N8-00 was upgraded to the Belle OS over the weekend and it caused most of the apps to be uninstalled. Now I'm trying to get them back but fail to do so because of the error.

View 4 Replies View RelatedToday I decided to install the latest maps available in ovi suite.When I install them I get an error "disc C full", it wants me to remove files to make space available. The thing is, that I now have 20.9MB of free memory there, so I doubt that it can really be insufficient. I think it's rather a bug. I would normally deinstall previous version and install the new one, but since I need this navigation, I can't risk that after deinstalling old one new program won't install anyways.So, any suggestions on what to do? There's nothing left to remove from phone memory.

It was working fine until yesterday when I tried to install version 3.03 to get free drive and walk navigation. OK - I know the N78 is not listed as a supported device but I thought it was worth a crack.At the end of the day I have no functioning maps on the phone. I have downloaded the correct Ovi Maps 3.01 for my phone (nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.SIS) but when I try to run this (by double clicking file on PC with phone connected in PC Suite mode) it does not work. I get an error message on the phone to say the file is not supported and a message on the PC saying N78 does not support SIS files.My next attempt was to restore using Ovi Suite to a backup I did yesterday before I started to play with it. This has not worked.Any ideas? Do I need to try an earlier version of Nokia or Ovi maps? Phone is updated with latest software version 30.011.

Does any one have any idea what can be done about this? tried to find out what firmware is installed but didn't figure out how to find this info. But there should be a way to install Nokia maps here.

I tried to install Ovi maps 3.03 but during the installation, it says there's not enough memory and it asks me to delete something from the C:. But I didn't really put much in C: and I don't know what I can delete without affecting the system.So, when I open "Maps" now, the old version still pops out (it says 3.01 when I click into "About"),but apparently the installer in the PC suite thinks I have 3.03 already.What should I do?

Ovi Suite and Pc Suite doesn't offer me any update. I'm desesperate (I've past a few days looking in google without solutions (for example changing the date of the phone, or configurate the application manager (all, no control online of the certificates,...) Nothing nothing... I'm thinking about flashing it with an updated software, ultimate action of a desperate man. it's strange that a mobile "updated" can't install a program from Ovi Suite.
I downloaded a couple of apps from Sony Ericsson's web site including a game that I used to play on my Sony Ericsson Z520a phone previoulsy, called "Quadrapop." It's a free Java application, and there was a version specific to the Satio, which is also an S60 5 edition phone, just like the 5800 which I am trying to install on.
When I try installing it, I get a message, "Certificate error" followed by something to the effect of, "contact supplier" I have been able to install some other Satio Java apps on my 5800, but not Quadrapop. Is there anything I can do do get around this issue?
Everytime i sort my applications in menu to custom folders, once o connect to pc through USB, it all get back to default application folder. Any way to avoid that?

View 5 Replies View Relatedthe problem i am posting here relates to ovi mail software..roblems being faced..1. you can not attach files more than a total of 2048 kb and neither can you download2. whenever you try to download any attachment you get a notification "UNABLE TO PERFORM OPERATION".3. when checking mails that have images attached to it and are meant to be automatically downloaded, the device shows the status of image being downloaded and the status constantly remains idle at 0% and after a few seconds the same notification as you get in the problem no. 2. is displayedits highly dissapointing on the part of nokia, that after a peson who has spent a sum of INR 23,000 is getting such softwares and i really dont think a customer is expecting such softwares/performance after spending INR 23,000 onto just a PHONE.I really dont know whether the customer who have purchased N 8 are aware of this issue persisting in their phones or probably i should say they dont explore thier devices well enogh.I never expected that i will be so dissapointed after spending so much of money onto a phone that does not facilitate me even with the basic functions.And lastly one thing that is relly notable is that the phones from nokia itself which cost between INR 10000-15000 does not have such restrictions for mail.
