Nokia Nseries :: Application Resort On USB?
Feb 4, 2012Everytime i sort my applications in menu to custom folders, once o connect to pc through USB, it all get back to default application folder. Any way to avoid that?

Jan 11, 2010The OVI Store application in my phone will not open, everytime I try to open the app it doesn't do anything, so I open the browser to go to the OVI store website, try to download any application and when it is trying to install it says "file corrupted" so I'm not able to install or buy any application from the OVI store. I have the latest software update. I also have the latest OVI suite application for Windows Vista and when I try to install the "software support" it fails...

Nov 6, 2011the problem i am posting here relates to ovi mail software..roblems being faced..1. you can not attach files more than a total of 2048 kb and neither can you download2. whenever you try to download any attachment you get a notification "UNABLE TO PERFORM OPERATION".3. when checking mails that have images attached to it and are meant to be automatically downloaded, the device shows the status of image being downloaded and the status constantly remains idle at 0% and after a few seconds the same notification as you get in the problem no. 2. is displayedits highly dissapointing on the part of nokia, that after a peson who has spent a sum of INR 23,000 is getting such softwares and i really dont think a customer is expecting such softwares/performance after spending INR 23,000 onto just a PHONE.I really dont know whether the customer who have purchased N 8 are aware of this issue persisting in their phones or probably i should say they dont explore thier devices well enogh.I never expected that i will be so dissapointed after spending so much of money onto a phone that does not facilitate me even with the basic functions.And lastly one thing that is relly notable is that the phones from nokia itself which cost between INR 10000-15000 does not have such restrictions for mail.

Oct 24, 2010All of sudden this message is popping up "Sorry please uninstall and reinstall communities" whenever i tried to access the facebook or click the "Social Network" button in address book.Tried reinstalling the firmware, uninstalling the app & reinstalling. Nothing works. I saw previous posting regarding this, but no helpful reply from Nokia. Expecting more support from Nokia rather than being ignorant.

Jul 2, 2012I can never know the current temperature from the application "Climate", as this always makes 3 to 5 degrees lower than the actual temperature. The strange thing about this is that the application "Guides" (also built with the suite of Nokia Maps 2.0) if you check the correct temperature.I was making comparisons and in Windows 7 the current temperature is 31 º C. I've used it before successfully on my N95.But since I installed it on my Nokia N8 I have a problem exporting it.On my N95 I just selected "Export Diary", I choose "OK" for allowing app to manage user data, I choose the memory partition and that was all. The diary was exported to my sd card in .txt format.

He said it was a great phone till the screen cracked out of nowhere (touch area intact, lcd glass intact), and he didn't bother fixing it, bought the **bleep** bitten fruit phone.anyway, I brought it back to life two or three days ago. A new batt (actually, two - the normal battery and the clock's batt), a screen (cheap nowadays) and a lot of WD40 on the board, to flush out the oxidation. Jan 6, 2012I did a partial restore using the Nokia Suite, selecting only the "Device settings an applications" content (I wanted to restore a theme that I wasn't able to download again without purchasing a second time). The restoral was successful and I have the theme back. The problem is that several other themes that I no longer want were also put back on my N8. I go to Settings>Application manager>Installed apps, however none of the restored themes are listed (they are all taking up Device Memory). how I can delete these items from my phone and thus free up the memory they are occupying?

Mar 16, 2012I've been using my N8 with my virgin mail account happily for about a year. Recently I've found that outgoing messages are getting stuck in the outbox. They sometimes send (several days later) after I have restarted my phone. I thought I would try removing the mail box and starting again, after a couple of attempts the mail box was removed, but when I tried to set it up again.
It seemed to hang in the middle of the task and I ended up with a mail box with a string of hexadecimal numbers as the mailbox name. Now I cannot remove it : whenever I try to remove it, I get as far as 'removing mailbox' and then it just hangs there (have left it overnight). Possibly related, I have had a couple of messages recently about phone memory being full, but if i look at it through file manager it has 116MB free, and nothing in there which looks like it could obviously be removed.
