View 5 Replies View Relateddoes your nokia 808 make a little noise if you shake it? I dropped mine accidentally and it doesn´t have any physical marks and it works well but after dropping it I shook it to check it and could hear a little noise. maybe it´s normal and it has nothing to do with the fall.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIt won't make any keypad noises either and my volunme buttons on the side of my phone don't work either..I have tried restoring it, but it does nothing..

It is my understanding there is an application that will allow a phone to be located by calling the phone. It is supposed to work when the phone is in silent or vibrate mode.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt was 5 weeks old and developed a screen issue, went back to repair centre, came back fixed.....All good.....Well no.Now, when the silent icon on the drop down curtain says silent, its not, when you select to change this from the long press of the power on/off button (It gives you a turn device off option, deactivate/activate data, Airplane mode and Silent off and on)The turn on silent mode actually does the opposite?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have an E52 here with latest firmware, version 034.001. Pressing and holding the # key to switch between general and silent mode does not work. Instead, it does show a second # and, after a while, asks if one wants to change the phone line. Pressing and holding the * key does indeed activate bluetooth.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have turned on the flip-to-silent setting in my n 97 mini and today I used it to silent a call. Only one call. After that I left the phone face down on my desk waiting for an important call. After about an hour I picked up the phone and to my shock saw that I had 20 missed calls!!!! It apparently silenced all those calls although it was still in general mode.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just got a new N8 (as I damaged my old one), and every 10 minutes it makes a noise, like something dropping in water. I have no apps or anything open, no messages etc so I've no idea why its making this noise?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the E72 for few months and I have not managed to correctly use the Silent mode button. Everytime I press it, it switches quickly to Silent mode and then back to general. I always have to repeat the same opertion several times before getting the wanted result. Of course, I always end up using the main power button to switch the phone mode but the shortcut button is so easier.

So, is there any SMS Application for N8 (or any Symbian Belle OS) which have following functionalities: Silently Hide the incoming SMS (from the selected numbers)The whole process will be done SILENTLY (at background) by NOT SHOWING any on screen New Message Alerts. The application access is password protected. (No other one can check the messages inside)The application will NOT BE LISTED in the Running Application ListTo say the point, i just don't wanna let anyone beside know that someone special is sending SMS to me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOk, so I'm trying to work out how the silent modes work on my Z3. I'm failing.
Â
So it seems you can press the volume key and by clicking the 'bell' icon I can scroll through 3 different modes: Loud, Vibrate and Silent.
Â
Seems simple enough, only none of these modes silence apps or games at all.
Â
I just want to put my phone on silence/vibrate and know that even apps and games will be silent too.
Â
I thought I could put into vibrate mode and slide the media volume down to zero and it would rememeber it... then putting back into loud mode would make media slider go back to normal volume?... Nope, I have to change it back to loud mode and remember to slide the media volume back to normal...
I set my iPhone 4s on silent every day for work. In the last few days any text messages and phone calls have been playing out loud. I've only had the phone two months. It also randomly vibrates for no apparent reason sometimes repeatedly.

Has anyone else noticed that after you have shot a video while using the volume/zoom switch to zoom in and out that when you play back the video you can hear the clicking of the switch? If you use the slide zoom on screen, the microphone also picks up the noise from your finger moving across the screen using that method too. This is a major problem as you cannot hear what you have filmed when you play it back, when I took it back to the shop where I purchased it from to explain about it they checked all the other N8's in the shop and they too had the same fault. Come on Nokia you managed to be able to get it right on my old N95-00 without it making the clicking noises,so you must be able to sort it out on the N8, the videos at the moment are unwatchable as all you hear is click, click ,click where the zoom button has been pressed. I bought this phone mainly for the excellent camera/video but at the moment all I have is a very expensive touch screen phone

So my question is, can I create a new profile which is offline, and also stops all alarms etc. Ideally I would like two offline profiles - one which is offline and quiet, one which is offline but still has audble alarms.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I am having a very strange problem. I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode. This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!
I had just got done texting my girlfriend, and so I set my phone in my pocket like usual. 5 minutes later I took it back out and it just didnt turn back on, I tried everything to fix it. I tried checking if it was the battery and it wasnt, I tried rebooting it and it didnt work either. I know its not the screen because it would at least vibrate or make noise or light up but the only thing that lights up is a lil green light at the corner when I plug it to charge.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy phone won't ring. it only vibrates. The volume is turned up and it will let me select a ringtone (and hear it), but when I have an incoming text or phone call it will only vibrate. It is not in airplane mode or anything.
