Mar 22, 2010Does anyone know if there is a shortcut to change my Blackberry 9520 profiles? I want a quick button that puts my phone onto silent. I've owned a Blackberry Bold 9000 before and it has it's own dedicated silent key. Is there such key/shortcut for Storm2 9520?

Feb 1, 2012It was 5 weeks old and developed a screen issue, went back to repair centre, came back fixed.....All good.....Well no.Now, when the silent icon on the drop down curtain says silent, its not, when you select to change this from the long press of the power on/off button (It gives you a turn device off option, deactivate/activate data, Airplane mode and Silent off and on)The turn on silent mode actually does the opposite?

Apr 8, 2010Ok so i bought a BB 9630 Tour couple days ago. and i have a question.so i set my girlfriend as a specific ringtone. but i usually use silent when i am at home, and one day she called me and guess what, the phone rang.so here is the question, how do you make the contact ring when it is in like when my normal is activated BUT NOT MY SILENT. cuz when i do silent and when she calls me and my phone rings... it doesnt really make sense cuz i put it as in silent.

May 16, 2010I have an E52 here with latest firmware, version 034.001. Pressing and holding the # key to switch between general and silent mode does not work. Instead, it does show a second # and, after a while, asks if one wants to change the phone line. Pressing and holding the * key does indeed activate bluetooth.

After that I left the phone face down on my desk waiting for an important call. After about an hour I picked up the phone and to my shock saw that I had 20 missed calls!!!! Jan 27, 2010I have had the E72 for few months and I have not managed to correctly use the Silent mode button. Everytime I press it, it switches quickly to Silent mode and then back to general. I always have to repeat the same opertion several times before getting the wanted result. Of course, I always end up using the main power button to switch the phone mode but the shortcut button is so easier.

Oct 9, 2015Ok, so I'm trying to work out how the silent modes work on my Z3. I'm failing.
So it seems you can press the volume key and by clicking the 'bell' icon I can scroll through 3 different modes: Loud, Vibrate and Silent.
Seems simple enough, only none of these modes silence apps or games at all.
I just want to put my phone on silence/vibrate and know that even apps and games will be silent too.
I thought I could put into vibrate mode and slide the media volume down to zero and it would rememeber it... then putting back into loud mode would make media slider go back to normal volume?... Nope, I have to change it back to loud mode and remember to slide the media volume back to normal...

Apr 21, 2010I got a msg today from Nokia saying there was an update for the 5800.
But I am unable to connect the phone to the computer in pc suite mode.
I updated the software on the computer as required by the update, but then it would not recognise the connection to the phone so I cant update it.
I can connect it mass storage mode, but as soon as I connect via PC Suite the usb connection dies. I am able to connect via bluetooth, but this doesn't help as it says I need to conect via PC Suite to receive the update.
How would I be able to connect the phone to the computer via PC Suite mode to get the upgrade?

Feb 5, 2010I am now on my 2nd 5800, got my first one last February and was able to use it for a whole month, till I took the SIM out of it, thats when my problems began, I've had 2 new SIMs, the phone was away for repair 3 times then I got a new one in November 2009 and guess what same problem, it wont change from off line to on line, no matter how many times I put the SIM in, so that one has been away for repair and surprise surprise it still doesn't work, thankfully I still have my old N95 which works and I use that.

Feb 1, 2010i'm from italy and i've just installed on my nokia 5800 the new ovi maps suite (after having updated the phone firmware, now i have 40.0.005).I've already unchecked the assisted-gps option in "positioning".When i use Maps, the phone finds the signal and track my location perfectly; after having set a destination it starts giving me directions (correct) but, after a few seconds, asks me to go to the shop. Since i don't want to go online (my data plan is awful) i select "no" and the planification disappears, returning on the interactive map.
I'd like to know what to to, if there's a method to use offline navigation without additional roaming cost.

Jun 6, 2010Once my 5800 is plugged into the usb port is shows has a Nokia OVI suite. You cant double click it like a normal removable drive, you have to expand it to get the following folders :
Which folder does the videos reside in and which folder does the images reside it that I want to transfer from the phone to the computer .
I have always had Sony phones in the past and they have specific folders for Video , Picture and Audio. The Nokia is confusing the hell out of me

Jan 20, 2010I want to use the 'sequence' image capture mode of the camera to take images at a defined time interval. If I use the sequence mode the 5800 camera shoots a series of photos fast. I want to adjust this time interval. The Nokia 5800 user manual says that this is possible by selecting the desired time interval.

However I am not seeing any such option for adjusting the time interval in the settings! Has anyone used this functionality? How do I set the time interval between sequenced image captures?
