Is there any easier way of putting the nokia lumia 800 on silent instead of having to go into Settings -> Ringtones+Sounds ??? I asked this because i think its really silly that on the top right hand corner you can only change the setting from ring+vibrate to vibrate and not Silent!

View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the last week or so my phone keeps putting itself into silent mode, so it doesn't ring when someone is calling me or make a sound when I get messages. This is a nuisance as I keep missing calls. The only way that I can get the phone to ring is to restart the phone, however it will then randomly set itself back into silent mode at some later point in time. When I go into sounds and notifications it will not allow me to increase the ringer volume.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI hope this hasn't been asked before; if it has and I searched on the wrong keywords, my apologies.Is it possible to set the Lumia 710 up so that it ends a current call when I press the button on top of the phone to put it into standby mode?
I've been caught a couple of times when leaving voicemail messages by the fact that I press the button, the 'phone plays a "ker-lick" noise and the screen goes black; but when I switch it back on again, the connection's still open and the call is still on-going.
Normally, this isn't an issue, as the call ends when the other party puts their phone down, or the voicemail reaches the end of the available message time; but I recently called someone who's got an honest-to-goodness answerphone on the shelf next to their phone, and it was happy to leave the connection open for well over an hour. As a result, I've just received a bill from my provider costing two-and-a-half times as much as usual - money I can scarce afford as I'm currently "resting" between jobs.
It would be neat if switching the phone off (or, at least, putting the phone on standby) ended the current call.
i've just updated my z3 yesterday. After the update, i've notice that there are no shortcut to silent my phone. I have to go to setting to do it.

I cant get any sound from my Lumia 800! Music, videas and ringtones are all silent. The ringer is on loud but still no sound is coming through. Last time this happened I reset it and it worked but its done it again. I cant keep resetting my phone as I lose all my downloads.

Although I find it functional and overall it looks well, I'd like to know if this can be turn off. The only downside I see is that I find myself scrolling down a for longer period of time.

If at all, one doesn't assign a shortcut to it, still there's an icon that is shown as default when nothing is assigned.Here's what you do...1. Download the app called vacuum.sis from the web. Now go to homescreen and press and hold to go into edit mode.4. Tap the desired location for adding the shortcut bar and select it from the list of widgets available.5. I saved my calendar onto the computer and I got an iCal(ics) file and apparently, nokia PC suite don't accept this file type! I tried to use sync, but the only half the calendar came out correctly while some meetings came out as saying tentative or nothing.In some parts of the calendar, there are two meetings at once, this displays fine on outlook, but will this affect the view on the phone?

Problem is the silver molding was all rough as if someone forgot to replace the molding. So I called it in. My 2nd replacement is brand new. The screen is very similiar in touch except I have to push down a little harder. My question is, does anyone know how to make it click easier? Is there a way to do it on Outlook so I can do it easier than on my little BB?
