I recently bought a used N8 to replace my old one that got stolen, although it works perfectly, I've had a couple of occasions where it has switched itself off overnight, & I cannot switch back on until putting on charge, despite the phone being well charged the day before.Is it possible that an app I've downloaded could be causing the battery to discharge overnight?
View 4 RepliesI left it on charge all night last night, and this morning - I noticed it was switching to "low battery mode", which I found strange as I had charged it overnight and noticed it was showing as 50%.... it kept going in to "low battery mode", which I thought was unusual as it doesn't go in to that mode until its much lower.
I noticed then that occassionally the battery icon was flicking between 50% and 7%, and then 4% etc.... so not sure why it was showing 50% as it looks like perhaps it hadn't charged at all and that it was actually low on battery? But I'm not sure.
So I plugged the phone in to my Mac, and opened Sony Bridge, and tried to go through the steps of Repairing the phone in case that would work - but as I got to the stage where I am meant to unplug the USB and then plug it back in to the computer whilst holding down the volume down button, the phone stopped responding. No LED lights, no switch on.
Presumably the battery has run dead - but after an hour of charging it in the wall socket, it's not showing any signs of life. The phone is running Lollipop by the way.
After putting phone to sleep it now will not switch on and itunes is not recognizing it.

I can't wait 5 minutes for a typical page to load, plus it seems to run out of memory very easily.
since I updated the software I have the following issue. when I use maps I select the destination and then switch off the phone's display (lock key) and use spoken directions only. saves massively on batery power. but now after each direction it unlocks the phone (switches the display back on). previous version worked just fine. as a result on longer journeys it has become useless for me.
please let it keep switched off again. or make it optional. or a system option to not let any application unlock the phone.
Every 24 hrs at 00:00 Mobile Data Switches itself on I have the moved the clock by 24 hrs and at 00:00 Mobile Data switches on again so it is tied to the phone time not the network it will the not do it till 24 hrs latter at 00:00 this does not then turn off As stated I never had this problem before FP2 although this is a replacement PhoneI have all the same Apps but have now deleted Solos World traveler as I thought this was the program causing it Checked so Far Nokia Product Inprovement turned off Software Updates turned off Time update set to Manual The only one left is Neqin but is not set to Up date

whenever i start some of my phone applications, like web, make a call, receive a call, start maps, my phone automatically switches off even if the battery is full. And when i restart my phone, it switches off again after displaying the nokia logo or just after the main screen is displayed. The same process continues repeatedly. Is my N8's battery not working correctly?

jan 2012 i buy nokia 700 in saudi. when ever i use mobile office in my mobile then my mobile gets heated within one hour and charge gets down.. wifi also not connected properly... when ever i connect wifi mobile get switch off.
