I have an interesting problem: my Nokia 500 won't charge by using wall charger, even though I charged it day before. Charging by using USB is perfectly fine.
I've had my N8 three weeks now, and the last few days I seem to have a problem charging the phone. When I plug in the wall charger, the phone fails to recognize that I plugged it in. No charging message, no beep, nothing. I also tried plugging the USB cord into an outlet via an USB adapter, and nothing happens.
I tried plugging the phone into my computer via to charge and it seems to be working at the moment..
But this is unacceptable. I will not be around a computer all the time. Why isn't my N8 detecting when I plug it in using the provided wall charger? Is this a hardware issue? Do I need to return/repair it? Is this a software issue and Nokia plans to fix it in an upcoming update?ve had my N8 three weeks now, and the last few days I seem to have a problem charging the phone. I purchased a nokia 6730 classic last week. I first turned it on and looked ok, so i put my sim card in and it didn't want to turn on. I pulled sim card out and nothing. I have tried deep reset and still wont work. I has been on charge for hours and wont even show the charge indicator.
I recently bought a used N8 to replace my old one that got stolen, although it works perfectly, I've had a couple of occasions where it has switched itself off overnight, & I cannot switch back on until putting on charge, despite the phone being well charged the day before. Is it possible that an app I've downloaded could be causing the battery to discharge overnight?
may i know Nokia 5800 XpressMusic can be charge by power bank or not?. I know that this model not allow to charge by USB, but can it be charge through power port with 500mA power bank?
Recently swapped from Android to the Lumia 920 so i know little or nothing about the OS.Issue: Phone battery dies over night, in the morning when i plug it into charge for 15-20 mins the phone does not turn on/ shows no battery indicator/ no signs of life.So i have to resort to doing a softreset everymorning in order for the phone to turn on. Originally i thought this was a faulty handset. However it might simply be a battery saver gimmick wherby the phone has to be charged for a longer period of time before it can turn on or show any sign of life, after being fully drained
I've tried charging my Nokia 1020 for 8 hours with no luck. After that I tried the 2 key and 3 key reset with no luck as well. I tried to plug it up to my computer but I got nothing there either. I am getting no indication that its charging and I'm starting to think I'm out of options. Is there anything else I can try? This just basically happened out of the blue, I turned it off and now it doesn't want to come back on at all...
I've just bought a 701 and the backlight won't turn off unless I lock the phone, it just dims down a little after the "Light time-out" period.I've done the "Delete data and restore" reset 3 times already, and left the memory card out afterwards. Is this normal and nothing more than a bug?
I've just got a Nokia 500 to replace my X6 and its a great little phone, but I can't find a way to turn off WLAN to conserve the battery. I set it up to connect to my home network, but everytime I disconnect it on the phone using the widgit on screen, it refreshes a few minutes later and reconnects - I've turned scanning off and set connection to manual but it made no difference.
My computer went down in the middle of, doing a software update. So now the phone only vibrats when I turn it on, it vibrats for like 30 sec. and then nothing.
I've had my N8 for a year and a week.Four days ago when I wanted to turn up my phone it kept loading for several minutes then the hands logo appeared but froze int the middle. After the hands logo froze the phone kept loading again for several minutes then the hands logo appeared again . I tried pressing the power off button for 8 seconds but the phone only turned off,and when I tried to start my phone it did the same. I send it to Nokia Care but they said they couldnt do anything because they probably think there is something wrong with the motherboard. I don't know what to do anymore.
while updating the software through nokia suite it suddenly said that it had lost connection to the phone, and then went to the home page of the suite. This left my phone with a white screen and it wouldnt respond to anything. I tried re installing the software and such, but still white screen. FInally I took the battery out, and now it wont turn on! I push the power button and it vibrates, then nothing. This tells me that its not dead, and when i connect it to the computer it disconnects right away. I tried removing the battery for a few minutes and taking out the various cards, but nothing.
Okay, I know what you're thinking...USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION! But I have and I have tried all the solutions I could find on google and here. I've tried turning it on with just the bat, bat/mem, bat/sim, etc charged my phone and what not and still nothing. It just won't turn on.I even tried hard resetting it but nothing works. When I press and hold the power button it just vibrates once and doesn't do anything. When I hook it up to the pc, it recognizes that there's a nokia phone there...I think...but it only does when you click and hold power and i vibrates.
How do I turn off 3g on my X6 16gb? I want to ensure 3 mobile don't get funny with bandwidth. Also I am coming from a nokia e71 (I am actually quite disappointed with the X6) and when making a connection the e71 would ask which connection I wanted to use. How do I get that dialogue box up?

My 701 running on belle fp1 doesn't turn off the display after locking the phone? It's just keeps the display always on.Restarting solves the problem but this is happening again and again.
I just updated my Nokia N97 mini and the new software update brought emoticons to my text messages. I don't want to use them and I can't stand them but I can't find any setting to turn them off. My Symbian version is 30.0.004(.C01.01)
My n97 will charge and the screen be on the white nokia charging screen.. but when i press the power button on top, nothing happens. I don't understand why this is happening at all.
