I found a pile of people who are having the same problems - The Nokia N8 won't reboot, start or even charge. Its just like its DEAD and that's what's happens to mine and I'm very pist off.

When I plug in the wall charger, the phone fails to recognize that I plugged it in. No charging message, no beep, nothing. I tried plugging the phone into my computer via to charge and it seems to be working at the moment..
But this is unacceptable. I will not be around a computer all the time. Why isn't my N8 detecting when I plug it in using the provided wall charger? Is this a hardware issue? jan 2012 i buy nokia 700 in saudi. when ever i use mobile office in my mobile then my mobile gets heated within one hour and charge gets down.. wifi also not connected properly... when ever i connect wifi mobile get switch off.

I tried pressing the power off button for 8 seconds but the phone only turned off,and when I tried to start my phone it did the same. This left my phone with a white screen and it wouldnt respond to anything. I tried re installing the software and such, but still white screen. FInally I took the battery out, and now it wont turn on! I push the power button and it vibrates, then nothing.
