Mar 18, 2011Phone freezes and will not turn off. It still calling What can or should I do.....
It's calling about 4 hours now. I can hear any nokia tunes anymore !

Jan 7, 2012I bought this phone (N8) for its camera capibilities, and now whenever I try to use it, it freezes the phone completely! Like **bleep**? This phone has been nothing but problems ever since I bought it new.

May 23, 2010My phone keeps regularly crashing/freezing- and keeps requiring me to pull out the battery and put it back in and restart! Its annoying and i believe that in the long run this might be damaging my phone. This happens/has to happen often, and also, even within the same day few times! e.g. - if I am texting people, suddenly it may freeze and requires battery pulling out! I do have a few applications, and about 4mb free on the phone on average (currently 7mb). I am on latest firmware.

Jan 5, 2010My cell phone will sometimes shut down or freeze and the only way to get it to turn back on is to remove the battery and put it back in. After that I can power my phone back on again and all is good until the next time it freezes.I noticed this sometime happens when I am using the wall charger. I will plug the phone in before bed (it’s turned on), and the next morning when I take it off the charger, the phone will not power on. I have to remove the battery as indicated above.
I have had the phone for two weeks and am wondering if I have a defective battery and if getting a new one will solve the problem. Has anyone else experienced this?

Oct 9, 2011why does my n8 freeze up? i have no apps open and i go to open my photos then click on photo to open it and the screen goes black and theres nothing?? also i have to recharge it like 2 or 3 times a day, even when im not using it?? **bleep**!! is my n8 a dud?? all this started the day i bought it brand new

Mar 20, 2012Alarm freezing their phone. It has happened 3 times now since I updated to Belle. I have to do the 8 second power button routine to boot the phone. When I boots up the alarm will immediately start sounding. Not good when I rely on it to wake me for work.

Feb 7, 2012Everything is working fine after Belle update but when I go to menu>settings>installations>already instaled - the screen just freezes and the only buttons that work is the camera button, menu button and power buton. When this happens, I turn off my phone and turn it on again and everything is normal, but the problem still exists.

Nokia :: N900 Phone Freezes On Reboot
Jan 13, 2010I bought an N900 yesterday and during install, the thing went down although it was plugged in. I let it down and tried to load the battery all night long. This morning, I rebooted but it kept freezing on the 5 well known dots.
I searched how to flash the N900 and succeeded in it. Problem is that, as soon as it's booted, it reboots right away.Can it be that the battery is dead? After loading a whole night long, the battery should be fully charged, no?Also: if the battery is broken, it doesn't give current through to the machine, is that possible?
Remark: sometimes the device says "internal application error: camera application closed". But that only happens once in a while and I guess it is due to all the previous reboots it did...

A lot of times, when I get an incoming calls, my phone freezes once I click the accept button, it freezes for like 20 seconds, then either accepts the call, or hangs up. Also, when I dial a number using the keypad, there is a delay, like, it takes 1-3 seconds between each number I press to display on the screen. I tried soft resetting, hard resetting, both fixes the issue for the 1st few hours, then both issues happen again!

Dec 14, 2012I just got my new lumia 920, and apperently my store was in sweeden.So i got the phone, turned it on and changed the language to norwegian, it freezes up all the time. and i have to do a hard reset (volume down + powerbutton)
And then i did a factory reset.. and i thought.. maybe it works okey if i leave it on sweedish..
So i turned it back to norwegian and it started to freeze up again. And why do the clock reset when doing a hard reset ? thats the only thing that reset back to factory default when i do hard reset.
And for some reason it looks like it's working okey now when the battery is less than 14 %, wich make my phone kind of useless..

Dec 23, 2011Sometimes my touchscreen freezes up when im unlocking the phone, it may happen when sliding up the lock screen or when entering the password i set for it to unlock.I have to turn my screen off and back on again to get it to work properly again.It's not a huge problem, but it gets irritating when receiving a call and not being able to answer it without turning your screen off and on.
This started happening recently, already tried a factory reset which didnt work obviously.Deleted all applications i had installed, and made sure all applications were closed properly by using the back button.

Sep 10, 2012I've had my N8 for a year and a week.Four days ago when I wanted to turn up my phone it kept loading for several minutes then the hands logo appeared but froze int the middle.After the hands logo froze the phone kept loading again for several minutes then the hands logo appeared again . This left my phone with a white screen and it wouldnt respond to anything. I tried re installing the software and such, but still white screen. I've tried turning it on with just the bat, bat/mem, bat/sim, etc charged my phone and what not and still nothing. It just won't turn on.I even tried hard resetting it but nothing works. When I press and hold the power button it just vibrates once and doesn't do anything. When I hook it up to the pc, it recognizes that there's a nokia phone there...I think...but it only does when you click and hold power and i vibrates.
