why does my n8 freeze up? i have no apps open and i go to open my photos then click on photo to open it and the screen goes black and theres nothing?? also i have to recharge it like 2 or 3 times a day, even when im not using it?? **bleep**!! is my n8 a dud?? all this started the day i bought it brand new
View 3 RepliesWell I really had my hopes up for this phone, and dumped my iPhone 5 for it... now I regret it, the phone freezes almost everyday it froze the 2nd day I bought it while I was talking through a Bluetooth headset, the day after that it froze while switching between calls... and today it also froze while I was talking through my car's Bluetooth set... I don't know what's the problem with this phone and also the camera is not that good and doesn't deserve all that hype. Nokia & Microsoft you'd better fix these issues because although the Lumia 920 has many good features, I can't stand it for this regularly freezing.
P.S. I'm currently in Saudi Arabia and the Nokia Care staff here are totally useless, shame on you Nokia you should've hired a qualified staff at least.
Alarm freezing their phone. It has happened 3 times now since I updated to Belle. I have to do the 8 second power button routine to boot the phone. When I boots up the alarm will immediately start sounding. Not good when I rely on it to wake me for work.

Everything is working fine after Belle update but when I go to menu>settings>installations>already instaled - the screen just freezes and the only buttons that work is the camera button, menu button and power buton. When this happens, I turn off my phone and turn it on again and everything is normal, but the problem still exists.

I have this problem since the beginning. the phone freezes and restarts time b time when i am using it or sometimes even when i press the unlock key to use it the screen shows up and freezes then restart. most of the time it restarts when its on charging and the battery is above 90% and it always restarts when i use it after the battery is fully recharged. Now yesterday it restarted around 15 times and its becoming pain you know. I have it on the kitkat software didn't update to lolipop. I am not using simcard and i also tried using without sd card.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe flash light on my 808 goes on on its own frm time to time. Mainly it happens during SMS arrival. It goes on and stays on untill I switch it off by pushing slider down for few seconds. Accidental pressing of slider is excluded as it happens even when phone is laying on my desc. When I notice this I switch it off but it happened few times in the pocket and flash is draining battery.I just send few SMS and observe that flash goes on for a moment but switches off. I wander if flash is somehow related to notification of SMS or other messages?

Mine is enabled and seems to update when my phone connects to a data source (e.g. when retrieving email or when browsing websites) but the time retrieved seems to be about two minutes slow. Where does the phone get it's time signal from? Is this a network thing (i.e. it is Orange that is running slow) or does it obtain the time from a Nokia server?

About half of year ago in Russia was passed the low, that we don't transfer to winter time. About two mounths ago my nokia 5230 transfer to winter time. I wait update program every day, becouse my clock wrong to me.I try to tune clock by hand and change time zone, but GPS disordered my clock everytime. I try to get help from russian call center, but them except as standart phrases "The Developers know about this problems, We don't know nothing, Just wait and belive, The developers develop development... bla bla bla" and nothing more. I like my phone very much (much more than all Android and Iphones taken one with another) but i think that case is irresponsibility of Nokia Company and its Russian offices.

The only way I can make it come back on is to push the home button then use my task manager to close programs. This will happen for about 20 minutes, then it will go back to normal. Then after another hour of use it will do it again. I've tried restoring the phone, and I've always done regular battery pulls and nothing seems to help. I didn't download any new software or anything, it just started happening. I loved this phone for the year I had it until this started happening.
