Alarm freezing their phone. It has happened 3 times now since I updated to Belle. I have to do the 8 second power button routine to boot the phone. When I boots up the alarm will immediately start sounding. Not good when I rely on it to wake me for work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThere must be some bug with the low battery alarm on Nokia 700. When the phone is on a long call, it just shuts down without any alarm at all. I had this issue several times. My battery shows that it's full for about 30% or something. Then I call and have a long conversation. And the phone just dies without any alarm at all. When I try to start it again it seems that battery is drained and I have to charge it to turn it on again.When the phone is in standby and battery is starting to running low, it beeps and shows a message. However, when I am on the call, nothings is happening, it doesn't give me a message that battery is low and that it's time to connect to the charger. [code]

I never want an alarm, and it is a pain to have to disable the alarm for every meeting I create. I seem to recall that it did default to 'off' in an earlier software version, whereas now it is set to 15min.

Everything is working fine after Belle update but when I go to menu>settings>installations>already instaled - the screen just freezes and the only buttons that work is the camera button, menu button and power buton. When this happens, I turn off my phone and turn it on again and everything is normal, but the problem still exists.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been very happy with my captivate (except for the known GPS issue) but I've had a problem for a couple days with the stock alarm application. I don't have any mods such as root just the stock OS running LauncherPro and a few other apps. My problem is that when I wake up in the morning from the alarm, if I snooze or turn off the alarm, sometimes the phone becomes unresponsive or minimally responsive. If I wait it out or keep trying to push random buttons (I don't remember since I'm groggy in the morning), eventually it becomes responsive like normal again but it may take a minute before this happens. In case it makes a difference, I have it on the charger overnight and no time sensitive apps that I know of except for the alarm.

I have a Photon that is at best qurky. I did a full factory reset about a month ago. the last couple of days the phone has been freezing with the alarm. the alarm will go off and I might get one or two snoozes out of it then the display freezes and is unresponsive. O can push the power button to get the power off menu but the screen will not respond to allow a power off, I must remove the battery to reset the phone.and as anyone who has a Photon knows how much fun putting the back on is. Any ideas.again this is a pretty fresh reboot and I do not have near as many apps running as before the reboot
View 1 Replies View RelatedAny ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. When I go to set the alarm time, it brings up the numeric keypad on the touchscreen. But, the alarm time consists of three parts: hours, minutes and am/pm. When I move to the am/pm field, I can't see any way of changing the am (default setting) to pm, as I have only the numeric keypad available.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever I set a reminder for an event (meeting, to do etc) and was not there to turn off or set to snooze when the alarm goes off, the phone stops vibrating. The light continues to blink, but no matter what buttons I press or press and hold, even the power button, the light continues to blink and the phone hangs. The only way is to remove the battery and restart the phone.
Is this a bug in the phone? I've never had such problems with previous Nokia phones. With the previous phones, once the user forgets to turn off the reminder alarm or set it to snooze, after a minute or so, the phone stops vibrating and blinking and the message hides in the background.
I, like many others, anticipate the v41 firmware to eventually be released to UK users over coming weeks. When it does before I upgrade I'd like to know one thing from users who have already upgraded -
Can the alarm still be "snoozed" by placing the handset face down on a surface, or is it now only possible to snooze it by swpiing a finger across the screen?
The alarm does not work unless I leave the phone on all night. Is there an 'auto on off' setting that will switch the phone on when the alarm is due?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm solving little bit annoying alarm feature in my phone. Imagine that you have alarm set as DAILY at 6 in the morning. In the morning I snooze the alarm after first ringing by sliding the bar snooze. In alarm settings, there is a comment that alarm is "delayed to 6:10" (because of my 10minute setting).The question is, how to remove this snoozed alarm without waiting to 6:10 ? If you choose deactivate alarm, then you have absolutely deactivated your daily alarm, after activating back it is still snoozed to 6:10. The only option is
a) wait until it starts ringing and choose STOP
b) delete snoozed alarm and set the new alarm with 6:00 and daily repeating
Does anyone know how to solve this problem??? How to quickly say to alarm: Cancel snoozing mode and turn back into normal settings ?
In my 2330c when I add a reminder there's no alarm. It just blinks. What is the use of reminder without a sound? That's an obvious bug in the software. Please fix the reminders so they produce sound.When you fix this problem please make it possible to change the alarm sound, so we aren't stuck with always the same irritating reminder sound (like in some previous Nokia models).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the 5230.I set quite a few alarms, and need to silence them without taking the 5230 out of my pocket or out of the carrying pouch and swiping the face or rotating it. Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Also, if you know of any apps that would give me more user controls. For example, I would love to be able to lock the camera button until I unlock it with a menu item.I gave up my old phone because of this alarm silencing issue. I may have to do the same with the 5230. I have 90 days to turn it back in to Costco.
