Jan 4, 2013The alarm does not work unless I leave the phone on all night. Is there an 'auto on off' setting that will switch the phone on when the alarm is due?

Nokia Lumia :: 900 Alarm Clock Does Not Work With Existing Alarm
Dec 18, 2012Lumia 900 failed to wake me up this morning. The alarm just did not sound at all.
- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring

Oct 23, 2012Why is it that the alarm volume does not change if you change the phone volume setting on the 1-30 scale. The alarm volume level is insanely loud, and s always the same whether you phone volume setting is on 1 or 30.
It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.

Mar 21, 2012I have a black nokia lumia 800. The firmware version in 1600.2483.8107.11501 (still waiting for 12070 one). Battery is ok, sound quality is horrible, but my real problem is the alarm clock - it just doesn't work! I rely on my phone to wake me up for work and it doesn't do the job. I've tried renaming the alarm, setting it to repeat on couple of days or just one time and it doesn't go off. The alarm worked perfectly on my HTC HD7 (the sound quality was also great on this device), but since I've switched to lumia I have to put up with more and more problems

Jun 15, 2010I have a Bold 9000 that started out with the original Rogers operating system some time in 2008. I've upgraded it through various 4.6 (or is it 4.7?) OS versions and I'm now on 5.0.0.662 (I haven't gone to .681 yet mostly because I keep forgetting). On every single version of 5.0 I've tried (Wind, Azercell, etc) I have run into two problems.
1. The camera takes pictures that are way too bright when using the flash. It's like it doesn't reduce the exposure time when the flash is on - almost every flash picture is totally white. This happens in auto flash and when you force the flash on. Pictures without the flash work the way you'd expect them to.
2. I can't snooze the alarm using a side key while it's in the holster any more. The alarm ringtone starts playing, I press the volume up or down key while the phone is still in the holster. On OS 4.6, this would cause the alarm to snooze for ten minutes. On OS 5.0 it just restarts the alarm sound! Totally pointless. This is especially annoying for me as I need to take pills on a 12 hour basis and so I have alarms going off at least twice a day, every day.
Lumia 950 :: 24 Hour Clock In Alarm?
Jan 30, 2016I have Lumia950 and Windows 10 and time settings is set to 24-hour clock and region and local set to Iceland (I've tried other region settings and all the same).
When I set an alarm I only have option to use 12-hour AM/PM format. Is there a way to have the alarm using the 24 hour format?
(Good news is that the calendar alarms now allow 24 hour format for reminders which was not possible on my 1020!)

Dec 22, 2015The alarm clock on my L950 was ringing as expected when I first bought the phone.
Then I ran into the battery drain and low storage warning that was part of the botched .29 upgrade. I eventually did a hard reset and the revised(?) .29 upgrade automatically (and successfully) installed itself.
Since then my alarm has not rung once. Or rather, when the phone's screen is off (like when I am asleep), then the alarm will not go off. Instead, there is a useless notification about it. On the other hand, if my phone is in use at the time of a scheduled alarm only THEN will the alarm ring.

Feb 2, 2016I think this is a new issue, never noticed it before.
I set 3 alarms (just in case), 6:00, 6:15, 6:30.
First alarm went off, I pressed dismiss and went back to sleep.
Did not hear any other alarms go off.
Woke up at 6:33 by myself.. Alarm was not ringing, as soon as I unlocked the phone, 6:30 alarm went off and started ringing.
But that only happened after I woke up the phone with the power button....
I'll try to delete and make new ones.. weird..
Lumia 950 XL :: Why Don't Have Any Alarm Sound / Vibrations On Phone
Feb 8, 2016I'm running 10.0.10586.29 and when I set an alarm I never hear anything, not even vibration works.
I do see that alarm is Enabled and after it should have gone off it is set to Disabled, but nothing gets triggered.
Ofcourse I tried to do the standard troubleshooting like rebooting phone and trying dozens of times with:
- volume on/off
- different alarm settings
- only vibe setting in alarm app
- turning everything from alarm app on/off in "Notifications + actions" settings
- soft reset

Mar 30, 2014Is there a way to get the alarm sound to be louder? I can sleep right through it. I downloaded another alarm app and the same thing happens. When I listen to the alarm sound in the settings it sounds loud, but then when it goes off I barely even hear it.
