I have a question.Whenever the phone touch screen is locked, and if i get a call, i am not able to answer or reject it directly from touch screen, unless i manually unlock the screen using right side lever. Although i can see the Answer/Reject option in screen, when i touch them they don't work. Also the Green/Red options at bottom of touch screen are also not working.Similarly, when i set an alarm, i cannot snooze or stop the alarm immediately in touch screen when the alarm rings, unless i unlock the touch screen again manually. Can someone help how to get this working, or is it the design?
View 4 Replies View Relatedsince the update to Sense 3.0, my alarm cannot be snoozed anymore.I go to sleep, alarm goes off, and i get 2 options: snooze or cancel. (dont know exact options in English, got other language). I choose snooze, for 10minutes, I have this options enabled. and I see the Snooze screen for 2 seconds, and then it disappears. The clock is also not in upper bar on phone screen, its just cancelled. When I want to reproduce this problem, I try this when the phone is on, not on standby, it works!! I get the snooze screen. But when im asleep the phone is ofcourse on standby modus, or at least the display is off. Then it doenst work.

I have recently been given a nokia C3 - 01 phone. I love it but the only problem is, I don't want the snooze option on my alarm. On my old nokia 6300 I had the option of turning the snooze off from settings. I have looked through the manual but cannot find anything that says how to turn the option off totally. How to alter the snooze time but not how to disable it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLumia 900 failed to wake me up this morning. The alarm just did not sound at all.
- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
This alarm is terrible! With my old phone to snooze I just had to press a button and it would start snoozing. In this phone I press the unlock button and it seems to snooze but it has just gone quiet! At 530 in the morning I am having a little trouble pressing the tiny unlock button then touching the screen to unlock it then having to press the correct side so that it will snooze and not turn off! There is a reason the snooze button is so big on an alarm clock! Is there any way to change how the snooze functions? I think I may be unlocking the phone and hitting the touch screen or something - is there someway to turn the touchscreen off at night or something?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed the stock alarm clock seems very stripped down compared to the one on my note 3. Either that or I am not seeing the settings to change these things. Here are some things that are bugging me:
- when the alarm ring there are no icons that show snooze or cancel. (just an X in the middle and you can slide left or right but no icons telling you what they do.)
- When I turn an alarm on there is no pop up that tells me in how long it will go off. (Good for when you accidentally put the time in PM intead of AM you can catch it with the pop up.)
- When I turn the snooze button on in settings, I can not customize the 5- minute intervals it snoozes at.
Is there any way to change any of these??? They were in the stock alarm app for my Galaxy note 3 so I am wondering if maybe I am not seeing something.
I have a Bold 9000 that started out with the original Rogers operating system some time in 2008. I've upgraded it through various 4.6 (or is it 4.7?) OS versions and I'm now on 5.0.0.662 (I haven't gone to .681 yet mostly because I keep forgetting). On every single version of 5.0 I've tried (Wind, Azercell, etc) I have run into two problems.
1. The camera takes pictures that are way too bright when using the flash. It's like it doesn't reduce the exposure time when the flash is on - almost every flash picture is totally white. This happens in auto flash and when you force the flash on. Pictures without the flash work the way you'd expect them to.
2. I can't snooze the alarm using a side key while it's in the holster any more. The alarm ringtone starts playing, I press the volume up or down key while the phone is still in the holster. On OS 4.6, this would cause the alarm to snooze for ten minutes. On OS 5.0 it just restarts the alarm sound! Totally pointless. This is especially annoying for me as I need to take pills on a 12 hour basis and so I have alarms going off at least twice a day, every day.
My alarm clock sometimes decides to snooze for an hour and 10 mins rather than 10 mins. I nearly missed work on Friday, what is going on!? I waited a long time for the X10 mini to come out and admit that I am a little dissappointed. I've had a SE W580i until recently and I am finding that there are a lot of basic things that my old phone could handle but my new one seems to struggle with.
I have used my phone alarm as my only alarm clock for at least the last 5 years. I really struggle to get up in the morning and if I turn the alarm off, I'll fall straight back to sleep again, therefore I rely heavily on the phone's snooze function to wake me up eventually after going off a few times. I was initially dissappointed that you cannot personalise the snooze duration on the x10 mini, the 10 mins is usually ok for me but in certain situations I prefer to shorten it. Please consider including this in the next software update, Sony Ericsson! But the pressing problem is the (massively) extended snooze. It happens every few days and seems to be quite random. The first few times I hit the snooze button, it works as normal. A picture of an alarm clock comes up showing the time, and a white segment of clock face is highlighted indicating how long the snooze is for (10 mins) and when it will next go off. Then, I stir due to some disturbance outside, notice that the sun is definitely brighter than it was when I was last awake, grab my phone in a panic and realise that I have been sleeping for 20 mins since the alarm last went off, and that I have less than 7 mins to get up, dressed, packed and on the bus or I will be late for work. Meanwhile my phone is cheerfully still displaying the clock face with the white segment showing that I have 40 mins left to snooze and all is well. I didn't even know it was possible for this phone to snooze for anything other than 10 mins. Unfortunately I am asleep whenever this has happened and I'm not sure how I've done it. I have tried setting the alarm when awake and then pressing various buttons, tapping the screen in various places, even pressing and holding the snooze button or swiping it. Most of these actions do nothing and the only way to stop the alarm is to slide to turn off or press the snooze button. My theory as to what is happening is that the phone snoozes for the normal 10 mins, but then when it reaches the time to go off again, it fails to go off and then the snooze time is displayed as 50 minutes (until it reaches that time again for the next hour). I think the white segment does initially show the 10 mins, I've started checking when I hit the snooze button after it happened a few times, but I might be doing something different in my sleep somehow
This seems a bit confusing so I'll give an example. If I snooze the alarm at 6 am, the white snooze segment displayed is from 6am to 6:10am. However, when I wake up again, for example at 6:20am, the alarm hasn't gone off after the snooze time has elapsed and the white segment is still showing snooze until ten past (so, the white segment is now massive and is from 6:20 to 7:10). Unfortunately I've not been able to just leave it to go off later as I've had to go to work and turn it off, so I have no idea whether it would then go off at 7:10 or whether it would cancel when the hour changed. This problem is really bugging me and I can't rely on the phone alarm any more. I don't want to spend a lot of money getting an alarm clock which I can personlise the alarm sound on and I often stay round at friends so having a phone alarm that works is very important to me. I am currently having to take my old phone along with my new one just for the alarm but it's annoying and I can't keep this up as a permanent solution.
I have downloaded a few free alarm clock apps from market but they are either ugly, even less functional than the Sony Ericsson one, unreliable or covered with irritating adverts ,so I am not considering that as a solution. To be honest having an alarm clock should really be a standard function for a phone this modern and expensive so I shouldn't have to download software to "get by" with my new phone. Overall I like the x10 mini and would like it to work as it should, then I would be very happy with it.One other thing, my calendar is working fine except that I like to set reminders for tasks, usually for 1 hour before the event. This worked fine until recenty, now for some reason (although I am still setting the reminder for 1 hour) it decides to remind me one hour before, then 15 mins, and then several times during the day until the event is finished. Mostly I use it to record work shifts so it's really annoying getting a notification every 10 minutes for 8 hours telling me to go to work, when I'm already there! If I cancel the notification alert at the top of the phone (by selecting the alert which brings the task up on the screen, then hitting ok) sometimes it reminds me again instantly (once, it did it 4 times in succession, ping-ping-ping-ping, which was a little noisy and embarassing). I don't know what's going on but if I can't stop it, I might give up on the whole smartphone calendar thing and just go back to using a paper diary. It's a shame though, I'm starting to wonder why I bothered getting an android phone at all if I can't even use basic functions on it.
Final comments - is it likely that customisable themes for your phone (like the ones in old sony ericsson phones) will become available for this phone at some point? Also does anyone know how GPS works? I've tried to use it a few times but it seems to think that I am usually located in the middle of the Firth of Tay which unless I have unknowingly developed the ability to walk on water, is definitely NOT where I am standing. Even when it manages to put me on dry land it's up to a kilometer out and has made the geotagging camera function (which I really liked the idea of) completely useless, as half of my my photos were tagged in Broughty Ferry where I've never even been and is not even in the same county. Finally I got a phone call recently and my phone died of battery before I got to it. When I turned it back on there was no record of the call or anything in missed calls and so I couldn't call them back (as I had no idea who it was!) Is this normal or is there something wrong with it?
How do I change the interval time on the snooze function, when in alarm mode. It goes off e 9 mins, and I want it to go off every 5 mins. When I got the hone it started off with 5 mins, then automatically changed to 7 mins, and now 9 mins. I cannot find where to change it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe alarm does not work unless I leave the phone on all night. Is there an 'auto on off' setting that will switch the phone on when the alarm is due?
View 18 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that the alarm volume does not change if you change the phone volume setting on the 1-30 scale. The alarm volume level is insanely loud, and s always the same whether you phone volume setting is on 1 or 30.
It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.
I have a black nokia lumia 800. The firmware version in 1600.2483.8107.11501 (still waiting for 12070 one). Battery is ok, sound quality is horrible, but my real problem is the alarm clock - it just doesn't work! I rely on my phone to wake me up for work and it doesn't do the job. I've tried renaming the alarm, setting it to repeat on couple of days or just one time and it doesn't go off. The alarm worked perfectly on my HTC HD7 (the sound quality was also great on this device), but since I've switched to lumia I have to put up with more and more problems

How do i set the alarm to go on without having the phone to go on at the same time?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFirst example, last night I changed my alarm from 7:00am to go off at 6:00am. I woke up at 6:50 without any alarm. Then in my scramble to get ready, my alarm goes off at 7:04am??? I'm completely baffled as to why this happened. This hasn't been my first problem with the alarm either. I've had times where my alarm just hasn't gone off at all and made me late for class. Everytime the night before, I'd make sure the volume was on max, and it wasn't on silent mode. This is a serious problem and if I had a job, I know I couldn't rely on my phone to go off at the proper time.

I was sure to be able to reproduce it so I made a (very bad quality) video, I can post it if you need Link to the last part of the video: http://www.zshare.net/video/7815866644a5ee87/
Notes:
a. I did a deep reset *#7370# before setting the alarm (the video proves that)
b. I don't know if snoozing (points 4 and 5) is necessary (you can snooze more times), I can test this once a day, tomorrow I'll know more.
I switch my E72 phone off for the night. In the morning the alarm rings, and I like the snooze function, I snooze several times (5 minutes). However, every now and then, the phone will not ring after a few snoozes, but will remain silent (and I get late).Usually does it after 25 minutes (5 snoozes),I cannot switch the phone on - I have to take out the battery, and put it back. Then it will immediately ring - usually shows the last snooze time, but of course I will have to set the time.It has been to the service, but this problem has remaind, but it is very annoying, usually it is very important not to be late!
View 4 Replies View RelatedX6 Alarms, how do they work. I see it can take multiple alarms (one up on Blackberry), BUT how do you switch them off, or snooze? When the alarm goes off, a partly lit screen appaears with a STOP and SNOOZE button on the touch screen. Tapping either does nothing. Even unlocking the phone on the side slideer and then taping on these two tough screen button does nothing!. Only recourse is to click on the Red Telephone button, which seems to have the same effect as a snooze button. Still no idea how to actually switch it off, and tend to go into alarms and delete it or reset it to a prior time. Also do alarms that are set for "Weekdays" stay, or do you have to reset (re create) the alarm each time.
