Nokia Lumia :: Deactivate Call Barring On L920?
Jan 7, 2013I have recently experienced an issue when trying to call to another country, and the message I get on my 920 is that I need first to de-activate my call barring. I was trying to do that, yet I can not find this option.
Is this problem related to the network provider (Virgin France) or to the phone itself?

Jan 11, 2016To be honest, one of the most important factors I've held on to Nokia all these years was because of offline maps, GPS and awesome voice navigation. And I've assumed this would carry on into the new Lumia 950 - while all the Samsung and iPhone folks in my car whine and wonder how I navigate without an internet connection.
However, I can not find a way to migrate my map favorites from my L920 to L950.
Btw, even the voice navigation on the L950 is done by a strange robotic female voice. How can I download a new voice/language like the good old days?

A couple of web pages I need for work doesn't work.It opens the main page but when I try to log in or open another link it just reloads the page I was on. If this can't be solved I'll have to switch to a different phone?

Jun 9, 2010So, my phone has been dead for a few days now. I don't know exactly where to begin. I bought my phone online, but has a service warranty last September 10, 2011. It worked fine, just some few minor problems that didn't really bother me until some people noticed it, like the screen twitching as if the pictures are moving. Not as responsive when not in use, would take a couple of minutes before it would light up if I click the buttons. And phone call won't last more than 10 minutes.
Anyway, so two months ago, I had a problem, my phone just freezed and I kept doing a quick pull which everytime it loads and goes on but still keeps on freezing. Then, finally, an error appeared (JVM Error 102) when the BlackBerry Reboot won't completely load anymore (3/4) then if I click reset or do another quick pull, same thing happens. Got annoyed, so didn't really mind my phone for about three days, until finally I had it and just searched online and tried everything and finally got it to work using JL_Cmder! Which was a blessing then, because nothing got erased and was working fine, and the phone call would last more than 10 minutes, too.
But, now, sadly... I think my phone is now officially dead. After four months from having it, same thing happens, it would freeze and just turn off automatically and if I press the buttons it would not respond. The battery percentage was high, more than 50% and I am positive about that, so I was really weirded out when it would not respond when I click the buttons and it would stay black. So, I did a quick pull. It would work, but then same thing would happen, and I'll do another quick pull. Until, finally it went off...... then there another error occured (JVM Error 545), which by searching online, I thought I could fix it easily like JVM Error 102, but I couldn't or was lazy to do so because I had to wipe it off which I don't want to do, or I didn't research enough. So, again, I left it on for a day, to drain the battery I guess or whatever, because the white screen with the JVM Error 102 won't go anywhere and I don't want to remove my battery. So, after an overnight, the next day it just turned black. I could still turn it on, but it would have that sand timer thingy that inverts when it loads (no idea how to explain it), and then red light would turn on, and off then back again to the sand timer. It would restart itself like that even if I don't do anything. So, I removed the battery... then the next day.... it just died. I would charge it and if I hold the end button the red light would come on, and there it will be, even if I leave it for hours. Nothing will happen but that steady red LED light on

Nov 26, 2012I have just brought a Lumia820;When I put the TruPhone sim in it at start up it continually said that there were more apps to put in, then it rebooted, over and over again.Removed Sim and phone started and worked fine, but with no sim in it. Put the sim in again, Phone boots up, but when windows had loaded Phone icon said "No Service" after about 15 seconds, then phone rebooted again. It does this non stop.Put O2 sim in the phone and it works beautifully. At one stage early on the phone said "In GSM mode"

BTW, my phone has rebooted itself about 5 times since I got it on Friday.

Nov 21, 2012i'm totally happy with my lumia 920 black for about 3 weeks now.I did successfully paired with my Kenwood DDX4021 BT (as i did before with my Lumia 800 and HTC Mozart).The phonebook and call lists were successfully transfered to the radio.
Yesterday i went home and activated blutooth on the phone.It showed message of the features it found and seems to connect (radio showed the connect icon) but then just did a reset and reboot.I tried several times. Every time after/while pairing with the radio the lumia just reboots itself.

Nov 23, 2012I bought my lumia 920 two days ago.I like it.. it is very impressive.I have some problems and I would like to understand if they are related to software or hardware.bviously there is the problem of the random reboot. I am pretty sure it is software related, hope Nokia will fix this soon.The other issue is a sound crackling when a sound start, it happen after a notification, playing games and playing music... apparently it doesn't affect Nokia music app.The problem is not the speaker because it happen also with streaming audio via a2dp.

Aug 3, 2015The phone constantly resets when trying to connect to unknown networks that require a password. It took me ages to figure out what was causing it and it's a real pain. You could just be walking down the street and it'll try to connect to a WiFi network that will kick off this constant resetting. You have about a second to turn WiFi off, before the process starts again.
I mention EE as they have their own software variant that enables WiFi calling in the UK, not sure if that's relevant?

( very noticeable when background is white).I tried to live with it however find it very annoying when you play on a white background game. Mar 7, 2011Issue is that the phone will get in a mode sometimes where it just continues to reboot. It gets to a point that I can use the phone, but within a few minutes, it crashes and boots up again. Usually pulling the battery fixes it, but not always. A similar issue is the screen going blank. Not sure it's crashed or just a video issue, but the only way to get it back on is to pull the batteryAlso, as the unit is stuck at 2.1 for ever, so can not use the memory card to install apps, and can't uninstall the old apps, is there a recommended minimum of available phone memory? That is, for example, always make sure you have at least 35MB. Any more than 50MB won't make a difference to performance or stability

Sep 22, 2011I've had something new start happening to my phone. In both instances, I was streaming music (Pandora), with the phone not plugged into the charger (usb to computer) like I normally do. When the phone battery was starting to get low, (about 40%), the phone shuts completely off. When this happens, the phone doesn't respond to the power button right away, it takes 2-3 minutes and/or a battery pull to get it to boot up again. Anyone else dealt with this or seen this?
