We just bought 2 new Lumia920 phones and while we like the devices, we have a huge problem... A couple of web pages I need for work doesn't work.It opens the main page but when I try to log in or open another link it just reloads the page I was on. If this can't be solved I'll have to switch to a different phone?
How do i view the full version of a webpage when it automatically redirects me to the mobile version? Example: when I go to www.nascar.com it automatically takes me to m.nascar.com . I read somewhere that there was an option or easy way to do this.
I was going on the UFC site all the time on my 4s. Then the other day it just started saying server cannot be found. I can't get it on wifi or my data Internet. Why did it just stop working. I can go on the site on any other device.
Already got the Denim update for the 1020? At first I thought my 1020 has the faux Denim update, but I have the live folders and apps corner per the update. When I bought the phone, I just updates incessantly without reading the descriptions.
Some webpages loads quite slow on the Denim update. I thought the update supposed to speed up mobile webpages? Mobile websites which uses a fancy navigation like joystiq.com loads quite slow and incomplete. Also, some pictures load slower than what I expected on desktop mode, and I'm using wi-fi for connection. Is it normal?
When I press Bing search button which is on the right side of Windows button, it loads the IE desktop version of Bing instead of the Bing App. I tried with some setting chage in Region+Language and Location as per Microsoft Answer blog but all went in failed, how to bring back my Bing Search app
A problem started recently that has not occured before. My phone can connect successfully to a WLAN point but when I try to access a page, whether new or from recently visited, it states it is "connecting via (wlan name)" but then cuts out and goes back to the previous menu.Furthermore if I select "options" from the "Bookmarks" option that also takes me back to the "Internet" menu.I have reset the factory settings, deleted the wlan access point and reloaded it, but to no avail.
I have a C6 and has been encountering this problem of having this msg "Memory full, please close some application" while opening some webpage. I did not have any application running at the same time & yet this msg still appears. Is this a limitation in C6 phone? Can we do anything to rectify this?
I realize there are many who's been using WP10 and thinks it's good, but it just seems to me Mail, Music, Calendar, I could go on has taken a step backwards. I want the 950, I just want it running 8.1.
I have a new (to me) Lumia 1020 and while it is fast and fluid everywhere else, web pages sometimes take forever (sometimes as long as 15 seconds) to load. Often it is the first visit to a page after opening IE, but not always.
I am on a VERY fast WiFi connection that is capable of 120Mb/s and tests at about 50Mb/s using a speed test app on the phone. Other PCs on the same WiFi network do not exhibit ANY page load delays.
The issue seems the same whether I am on WiFi or cell data (ATT LTE with a strong signal).
Data Sense is set to NOT compress web pages, but the issue seems the same if I enable web page compression.
Why web pages take so long to load... sometimes? It is the only issue I have with WP8.1.
Beginning this morning, my Lumia 1020 can no longer successfully launch the camera. Any attempt to launch the camera through the button on the side, or through various apps that use the camera result in the phone crashing to the start menu.
I was running Preview for Developers for several weeks before the issue popped up. I had the version just before the latest update. Updating to the newest version did not fix the issue.
I also tried soft reset multiple times, and did a hard reset when all else failed. Still no luck.
I recently brought a new 1320 and my god... Its so slow! Most apps take around 10 seconds to load, many games won't download and when I do find a game which downloads it just crashes, sometimes when I click the unlock button it can take around 20 seconds to unlock... This is rare but it does happen... I have soft and hard reset and it did not fix anything, I have everything turned off and have no apps running... I have Windows Phone 8.1 installed but really don't think this is the problem, Its really annoying me because the battery is good, but its just so slow and many things play up...
I just bought a lumia 950XL dual-sim from Microsoft, and it is a great phone. However, I am having a lot of issues with the messaging app right now. It takes a very long time to load the app and the individual conversations. When sending texts it takes 3-10 seconds before sending. I deleted all the texts on my phone, which I had backed up and loaded.
My webpage is permanently zoomed in where I would in the past need to double tap on the page where I want to go. How can I put the setting back that its small to begin with and need to double tap on the web page?
I typed in an incorrect website address when I first used my phone. Now the default page is set to the incorrect spelling and I cannot access the website I want.
I'm testing several landing pages that my marketing department has created to offer assets to partners. Each of these assets are PDFs that can be downloaded but when viewing the landing page on iPhone and clicking on the button to download the PDF only reloads the page. I've tried Safari and Chrome and turned off pop blockers and I have Adobe Reader and iBooks installed on my phone and nothing is working. The PDFs download perfectly fine on Android devices and on Mac and PC. I find is related to downloading PDFs from an email attachment.
I don't have a lap top, though I do plan on getting one soon, so I rely on my black berry for on the go internet. I play the guitar so I often want to check tabs and make sure I'm playing a song right/learn a new song. My poor 8330 can't handle website like UltimateGuitar.com, so I had the idea of creating a website with plain text webpages so I could easily view my guitar tabs. (Of course I have to add them myself so thats not a problem) I already have a free website set up for this purpose but I'm having one issue; the tabs get word-wrapped and make them unreadable. Is there a way to set up the webpage correctly (html and what not) or a setting on my blackberry to prevent this?
Edit: I've noticed if I switch to "Page view" it displays the the page correctly, of course at a smaller font size but thats what I want. But after a few moments it zooms it. Is there a way around this?
Edit2: I've been doing some research; the problem appears to be with the device because it automatically scales the content to fit the page. So to revise my original question, is there a way to disable the scaling or prevent it by adding some code to my webpage?
i am trying to register on my carriers BIS webpage, via a browser on a pc.i get the following error,Your account is not accessible via HTML browser. Please use your device to access BlackBerry Internet Service.i can access email settings on the device and configure email, however i prefer to do this via a webpage.in the email settings app on the device, when i press the menu button i dont get the create user account as outlined here blackberry support doc ?my 9780 is on OS 6, and i guess the support doc linked above was written for a previous version of BIS?
How do you download a web page and then copy it to a file. Could be Google Docs Microsoft Word, memo field. I want to take a web page whose font is so small, to import it into a document, and then increase the font size so I can read it?
