Lumia 950 XL :: Messaging App Takes A Long Time To Load Or Texts Are Slow To Send
Jan 31, 2016
I just bought a lumia 950XL dual-sim from Microsoft, and it is a great phone. However, I am having a lot of issues with the messaging app right now. It takes a very long time to load the app and the individual conversations. When sending texts it takes 3-10 seconds before sending. I deleted all the texts on my phone, which I had backed up and loaded.
my phone takes very very long time to send pictures on phone via gmail. I have sort of good connection and i tested uploading pics on facebook and picasa with out any problem, but with gmail it just stays at sending and some times it even don't show that status in gmail client. It is so frustrating. I have reset my phone manytimes and I have updated software.
I've found that loading and sending messages app sometimes a long time. But when I search messages for a contact or a particular keyword it takes absolutely ages to bring back any results. I never had this problem on the lumia 930 running 8.1.
Just got a refurbished D2G, the Nav app takes a long time to long on > 10min sometimes. Anyone else having this issue? Called VZW up they claim that google pushed out an update which breaks Nav. I called BS, then he tried to blame it on the hurricane.I have been through 4 of these phones, all with different annoying problems, Getting tired of it.
This is a major harassment for me because I send and recieve a lot of email and SMS on my phone. When I open the Mail app, I get no responce for 10+ seconds, then the app "opens" but will not respond for atleast 20 seconds, often with the titlebar still showing my today screen. This also happens when I'm in a message/conversation and just hit "ok" to go back to the list of messages/conversations, it's atleast 30 seconds before I can select anything. Anyone know what's wrong? I only have 6-7 conversations on the page and 10 or less emails on that page. Rebooting the phone only makes a minor difference in speed. Have not hard-reset because I dont want to lose all my contacts, apps, etc.
whats wrong with this thing it takes soo long to send messages on blackberry messenger,im on tmobile and have curve 8900 AND YES i did restart the phone / resend service books
Windows 7 seems to take ages to start using the phone's connection, after you change the connection type. The internet and sharing center thing hangs for like ten minutes, then it connects.Ubuntu doesn't seem to suffer from this problem.
On all of my iOS devices (iPad 3rd generation, iPhone 5) downloading tracks takes a few seconds on wifi, however having downloaded it takes minutes for it to finish "Processing...". Downloads on iTunes on the mac are fine and finish as soon as it has downloaded the data.
I recently got my Sony Xperia Z3 two weeks ago and there are several problems that I'm noticing.
1. It charges extremely slow. I have tried different outlets and chargers to see if it can work but it doesn't and it take more than 3 hours to charge to its full capacity. How do I fix this?
2. While the camera is great, the image quality is not the best considering that it has a high mp I would expect more because I have seen images online where the quality is beautiful but when I look at my phone it's not like that.
Furthermore the front cam always has a lot of background noise which makes the images really bad. How do I fix these 2 problems?
3. Whenever I call someone and want to put them on speaker or I want to hangup it takes forever for the screen to light up. I even press the power button to see if it works but it doesn't.
I have been using SII ( GT I9100, Andriod ver 2.3.5;Kernnel 2.6.35.7) since more than a year its been working fine until I got it upgraded to Ice although due to various problems I got it resorted to its previous version however sine then its extremely slow when I open any contact it takes some time to display the numbers saved in the contact moreover it takes several minutes to open play store furthermore some time callers complaints that your phone was not responding however I was in normal coverage area
I've recently purchased an iPhone 4s, 16GB model. Someone sent me 150 or so ebooks, all in PDF format, total size is fairly large at 3.7 Gig.
I've copied them across (using iTunes, latest version) and they view OK. However, when turning the page on ANY of the books, there is always a c. 5 second delay before the screen snaps into focus and the text becomes sharp enough to read.
Following the great look and feel I would like to buy an iPad but this is really putting me off. Someone suggested that the size might be too much for the device, so I deleted all but 1 of the pdf files, but it's still doing it.
I own a L720 but am very tempted to make a switch to L1020 in future once its officially available here. A major query I have is,
-The screen is off and I hit the camera button, how long does it take to take a picture and save? -The battery to power ratio, is it good? (Can the phone last 1 full day without any issues?)
after upgrading to nokia belle on my n8 when i tap on the image to send it via bluetooth or mail it takes long time for it give the options of bluetooth, mail or msg ...it shows processing for a long time ....which wasnt the case with nna....nokia any updates on tht????
why my Xperia x10 mini (on o2 network) takes soooo long to send MMS or just says "queued for sending" for days? I have been on to o2 and checked all my settings are okay. Is there anything I can do to speed it up? Do I have to have a certain number of signal bars in order to be able to send MMS quicker or something? Ive never had problems with Sony Ericsson before
I have a new (to me) Lumia 1020 and while it is fast and fluid everywhere else, web pages sometimes take forever (sometimes as long as 15 seconds) to load. Often it is the first visit to a page after opening IE, but not always.
I am on a VERY fast WiFi connection that is capable of 120Mb/s and tests at about 50Mb/s using a speed test app on the phone. Other PCs on the same WiFi network do not exhibit ANY page load delays.
The issue seems the same whether I am on WiFi or cell data (ATT LTE with a strong signal).
Data Sense is set to NOT compress web pages, but the issue seems the same if I enable web page compression.
Why web pages take so long to load... sometimes? It is the only issue I have with WP8.1.
My BBM has been not sending messages for up to half an hour at times, it just stays on the red clock. It's been like this for a while, I went into the store and they told me to do a software update. I tried that and it got better for a while and then started playing up again.
I was sent an email with a large attachment with it and now I'm unable to access my emails nor send texts?Whenever I try, I'm presented with this error message: -'Uncaught exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' and an 'OK' button. When I click this, (in the vain hope all will be OK from there on in, it logs out of the app and I'm back to square one! Therefore rendering the phone useless! When I contacted Blackberry support, it states that it has no knowledge of 'Uncaught exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' ?
When I connect my 1020 to my PC, the computer acknowledges that the phone is connected but can sometimes take forever to start to sync the photos to the PC. I have tried combinations of F5 etc. as well as disconnecting the phone and reconnecting it. Nothing happens! Then for no reason, it will start to download the photos and show the message "Everything's Done" .
My wife and I both have icons. With both of our phones, it seems to take an excessively long time for the phone to identify that it has been plugged in to charge. In some cases, it won't give the notification sound for upwards of a minute. I don't think I've had a single phone that actually did that.
On my L930 (10586), I was able to go to the Messaging app and send a text to someone via Skype. That is, at the top right, there was a drop-down to select "SIM" or "Skype".
Now, it just says "SIM Text" and "No SIM", which I'm guessing means the missing SIM 2.
Is this another Dual-SIM thing (like VMM appears to not work with Dual-SIM phones) or am I doing sing wrong?
Both my 1020 and my gf's 1520 won't send pictures through messaging sharing, on our new att service. Idk if this is phone related or service related, It just says can't send message, try again.
I have 2 new Nokia Lumia 920 phones and neither one can send or receive text messages. I try to send messages between the phones and it appears alright but nothing happens
When I take pictures on my Lumia 1520 they come out crystal clear and with great quality. But as soon as I try to send the picture via text messaging to friends or family the pictures are distorted and/ or very small. I've looked through my settings to see if I could simply change the picture settings,
