My1020 has problem that cant start any apps. mobile,mail,camera,etc.for example i chose camera app.loading-->resuming-->back to home screen.
so i was trying to soft reset.but cant open settings as well then I have tried factory reset.
I'm on WP8.1 and haven't had an update for a few weeks however the week before last all of a sudden my phone started to run really slowly. Evening opening the camera app can take 10-20 secs sometimes before it starts and its highly annoying.I've tried restarting, soft reset (which works for a little), emptying temp files and not sure what to do. I have about 3.5gb of memory left on the phone, close all apps properly and don't have a more than around 20 3rd party apps installed so the apps themselves shouldn't be the issue.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new (to me) Lumia 1020 and while it is fast and fluid everywhere else, web pages sometimes take forever (sometimes as long as 15 seconds) to load. Often it is the first visit to a page after opening IE, but not always.
I am on a VERY fast WiFi connection that is capable of 120Mb/s and tests at about 50Mb/s using a speed test app on the phone. Other PCs on the same WiFi network do not exhibit ANY page load delays.
The issue seems the same whether I am on WiFi or cell data (ATT LTE with a strong signal).
Data Sense is set to NOT compress web pages, but the issue seems the same if I enable web page compression.
Why web pages take so long to load... sometimes? It is the only issue I have with WP8.1.
Beginning this morning, my Lumia 1020 can no longer successfully launch the camera. Any attempt to launch the camera through the button on the side, or through various apps that use the camera result in the phone crashing to the start menu.
I was running Preview for Developers for several weeks before the issue popped up. I had the version just before the latest update. Updating to the newest version did not fix the issue.
I also tried soft reset multiple times, and did a hard reset when all else failed. Still no luck.
Takes a long time to load some pages. Links don't work until the page sits for awhile. Also, zooming in and zooming out is hit and miss.

It takes a very long time to load the app and the individual conversations. When sending texts it takes 3-10 seconds before sending. I deleted all the texts on my phone, which I had backed up and loaded.

It started doing this when i accidentally held the volume down button to switch it on and it came up with a lightning bolt and cog. Then i managed to turn the phone on and now every time i turn my phone off and on the time resets.

I have tried combinations of F5 etc. as well as disconnecting the phone and reconnecting it. Nothing happens! Most apps take around 10 seconds to load, many games won't download and when I do find a game which downloads it just crashes, sometimes when I click the unlock button it can take around 20 seconds to unlock... This is rare but it does happen... I have soft and hard reset and it did not fix anything, I have everything turned off and have no apps running... I have Windows Phone 8.1 installed but really don't think this is the problem, Its really annoying me because the battery is good, but its just so slow and many things play up...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a Lumia 1020 with Black update and my Store is perfectly doing fine showing updates available but recently, or maybe around 2 weeks or so, my Store does not show any updates. I always see many updates from WPCentral but I the store just does not show an available update. And it is tiring to go to the app itself and update it from there when the store can automatically get all available updates and prompt me to download all.
I tried soft reset, restore factory settings, have not tried hard reset because I do not want to. I am almost in a month now that my store does not give me available updates.
I just installed the 10166 build on my lumia 1020 and after sometime the start screen did not appear only black screen saying loading. I tried hard reset and now there are only 4-5 apps on my phone, no call no store nothing? What should I do?

During IE usage the battery drains extremely fast.
After 15 minutes it is very hot - I'm worried that a longer usage may do some harm to the phone due to the very hot temperature...
The back of the phone and the screen is getting very hot - I do not have the drain problem while not using the phone - it is cold while idle!
But I did notice, that other applications do also heat up the phone, but not as much as IE...

So on my Lumia 1020 the live tiles for the weather never update for any of the weather apps I have tried. (Amazing Weather, Weather Flow, etc). The only background apps I have running is the one for the weather app I am currently trying to use. I have sent logs to Amazing Weather and Weather Flow and from what they see the background task is running and not getting any errors, but still no updating.
