So on my Lumia 1020 the live tiles for the weather never update for any of the weather apps I have tried. (Amazing Weather, Weather Flow, etc). The only background apps I have running is the one for the weather app I am currently trying to use. I have sent logs to Amazing Weather and Weather Flow and from what they see the background task is running and not getting any errors, but still no updating.

I recently switched to WP from Android. While I have pined my calendar but I don't see my upcoming appointments on the tile. I am used to see Day, Date & time on the home screen.

I checked the settings but realized that I don't have the option to enable live tile for the store app. My device region is set to United States along with language.. But the option is totally missing. Strangely, the option is present on my Samsung ATIV S and it works perfectly.

However when I receive an SMS neither the messaging live tile updates to reflect this, nor does any sound alert me. The phone is set to ring+vibrate, is there somewhere else I'm not checking?

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy live tile for Outlook was working until the update. When I get a new email, I don't get the unread message count on the live tile. This worked before the update. I also removed the email account and re-added it, but the message count does not show up on a new email.
I do get the alert sound when I get an email along with a notification, just no count on the live tile.
All my other live tiles:Exchange (main inbox)HotmailLinked Inbox (8 services, including other GMail accounts)SMSAre reporting new messages on the lock screen, but a live tile for another single GMail account is not. I currently have an old email notification stuck on my lock screen, and also on the live tile. I have deleted the email, refreshed the account, restarted the phone.
Both lock screen and live tile now no longer show new mail.
Will these phones be getting regular updates?
950xl dual sim from US, non insider.I just got the firmware update yesterday and found out the live tile stop showing any information. Not a big deal but once you know it, it is annoying, just like the creaking back cover.I don't think this firmware update fix the heating issue, my phone heats up quickly even when browsing internet with Edge.

What causes the store to stop pushing the updates?
I am using a Lumia 1020 with Black update and my Store is perfectly doing fine showing updates available but recently, or maybe around 2 weeks or so, my Store does not show any updates. I always see many updates from WPCentral but I the store just does not show an available update. And it is tiring to go to the app itself and update it from there when the store can automatically get all available updates and prompt me to download all.
I tried soft reset, restore factory settings, have not tried hard reset because I do not want to. I am almost in a month now that my store does not give me available updates.
For a while now Microsoft weather will not update and says 'location cannot be detected' on 1520.3.Was beLocation settings are set correctly and permissions too.Have uninstalled and reinstalled.

The clock still keeps time, but the weather icon on the right hand side does not show the current weather, will not update, nor will it allow me to touch the widget and enter into the settings/different cities. It was working fine up until about a week ago. I've tried restarting my phone and removing/re-positioning the widget, but no luck. It can't be uninstalled as it came with OS.

I've updated my nokia lumia 1020 and I've noticed that the calendar app doesn't work!!!You can see it at the start menu but in darker colour....I've tried sync again my microsoft account but nothing happens.

I placed my 1020 with charger shell on my charging stand one night before bed and woke up the next morning with the exact same battery reading (maybe a little less even). So I re-positioned it on the charger stand and left it for a few more hours, same results. I then decided to plug the phone in to charge, came back a couple of hours later and the battery indicator still hadn't moved. I thought that this behavior was really strange so I rebooted the phone and lo-n-behold: a fully charged phone. For some reason the battery indicator was not updating properly.
