I had to change the password for my microsoft live account today, and since then the Store will not download any apps. I've updated the 'email & accounts' section for the new password, but the Store still won't download anything.
View 1 Repliesbasically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi downloaded the new firmware 44.1 to my phone yesterday through NSU & did my backup restore.but for some reason I canot download from Ovi Store.After I click download in Ovi Store- the app manager opens & just says "preparing for installation" & stays there for ever.. nothng happens... I had to stop the downloads manually many times..I checked the log file in Application Manager & here is the error message.

When I'm on my 4S and goto install pending App updates, it requires a password. That password is different than my iTunes store password. Is that correct? I know the password to install the apps, but can't figure why it's different. It seems wrong. My iTunes userid is a "xxxxx.mac" format and when I goto install the apps, it just says my userid is just "xxxxx".BTW, when I plug my 4s into my imac, iTunes does not recognize it. It is recognized on my Macbook. Not a cable or port problem. This is a whole other issue, but I wonder if they're related.

I checked the settings but realized that I don't have the option to enable live tile for the store app. My device region is set to United States along with language.. I have struggled over this for days. I recently lost the internet provider on my old internet account which was my old Apple ID. I successfully changed my Apple ID in ITunes to a new permanent email address. I cannot change the settings on the App store or ICloud. The suggested solutions for this problem have not worked for me because there is no option for changing the old Apple ID. When you tap on it, it does not change. I have tried signing in with the Old Apple ID (the old email account) and it doesn't work either. I have synced my phone (and lost my contacts in the process but that was an entirely different headache!) to no avail.
Some of the solutions stated that I should go to the store and tap on the Apple ID and it would allow me to change...no such luck. Also when I tried Iforgot, it would only let me change my password which is not really any help because the problem is the Apple Id.

The only background apps I have running is the one for the weather app I am currently trying to use.
