Nokia :: 2730 Unable To Add Windows Live Hotmail Account To Messaging Settings
Mar 8, 2010Just bought new Nokia 2730 and everything else is OK but I am not able to add my hotmail account to email settings. It always says that login fails. Live ID and password is OK and Live Messenger under chat is working with my account. I have the latest firmware v 09.41 02-12-09 rm-578.

Please try again later". (translated from originally Finnish message). It has worked just fine earlier. Network is OK and pretty much everything else is working.

Nov 27, 2012basically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.

Windows :: Lumia 920 - Can't Sign-in With Existing Hotmail Account
Nov 16, 2012Just picked up a Lumia 920 on Rogers. When going through setup, it requests I log in to my MS account, so I tried to log in to the account I'm using for SkyDrive and my Surface tablet, but no luck. Says Invalid account or password (I know it's correct).It's a hotmail account. Does that make any difference? I figured since I'm using this same account for my Surface Tablet login that it shouldn't be an issue?

The settings I'm using are :
Incoming server : pop3.live.com
Outgoing server : smtp.live.com
But when it's all setup, I get the message :"Unable to connect to pop3.live.com. Server name or port number may be incorrect" Can someone tell me the correct settings please?

Nov 27, 2012I'm encountring some problems with the nokia lumia 920 and windows 8. The nokia lumia 920 has been recognized for some days by the "windows phone" app available in the store. Now the phone isn't correctly recognized, I can see in device list "RM821|Nokia Lumia 920" but it hasn't a phone icon it's very strange.I've tested the following approaches:
-Remove windows phone app and reinstall: No changes
-Reboot both phone and pc: No changes
-Uninstall all drivers installed when the lumia 920 is connected: No changes
The mobile isn't recognized by visual studio 2k12 and also isn't recognized by "Windows Phone Developer Registration" app.
