Nokia Lumia :: 820 Messaging Sound And Live Tile Not Working
Jan 7, 2013I've recently bought a nokia 820 and am having trouble with the messaging app. In my settings-ringtones+sounds, I've got the ringer on, and the new text or IM set to a sound, the 'play a sound for' everything is checked. However when I receive an SMS neither the messaging live tile updates to reflect this, nor does any sound alert me. The phone is set to ring+vibrate, is there somewhere else I'm not checking?

The only background apps I have running is the one for the weather app I am currently trying to use. Dec 16, 2015My live tile for Outlook was working until the update. When I get a new email, I don't get the unread message count on the live tile. This worked before the update. I also removed the email account and re-added it, but the message count does not show up on a new email.
I do get the alert sound when I get an email along with a notification, just no count on the live tile.

Dec 29, 2015I have just purchased a Lumia 950. Among the many bugs I am trying to deal with, this is currently the most frustrating as it is affecting my work email notifications.
I currently have an old email notification stuck on my lock screen, and also on the live tile. I have deleted the email, refreshed the account, restarted the phone.
Both lock screen and live tile now no longer show new mail.
Will these phones be getting regular updates?

Jan 7, 2016950xl dual sim from US, non insider.I just got the firmware update yesterday and found out the live tile stop showing any information. Not a big deal but once you know it, it is annoying, just like the creaking back cover.I don't think this firmware update fix the heating issue, my phone heats up quickly even when browsing internet with Edge.

I've tried to call the 3282 data number, and it always tells me I'm at 0 even though I know i've been on the data network and not wifi.Also, can someone explain to me how much data something like the people tile/email account setup uses? I've never understood apps like that coming from suuper old phones. Is it constantly checking your email/facebook? On some time interval? I'd really like to set up facebook and such with the people tile because it seems really nifty, but I don't want to go over my 2gb plan. I just don't terribly understand how it all works, and i'd be willing to try it out if I could see how much data i'm using..but that goes back to my first question...In the past when checking email/facebook I'd always just use the internet browser on my old Nokia e71x, and it wasn't giving me updates in real time like I know this guy is capable of. I'd like to use it, I just don't wanna eat up my data plan.

This began after activating my new Lumia 900 on AT&T.
