This is a major harassment for me because I send and recieve a lot of email and SMS on my phone. When I open the Mail app, I get no responce for 10+ seconds, then the app "opens" but will not respond for atleast 20 seconds, often with the titlebar still showing my today screen. This also happens when I'm in a message/conversation and just hit "ok" to go back to the list of messages/conversations, it's atleast 30 seconds before I can select anything. Anyone know what's wrong? I only have 6-7 conversations on the page and 10 or less emails on that page. Rebooting the phone only makes a minor difference in speed. Have not hard-reset because I dont want to lose all my contacts, apps, etc.
I just bought a lumia 950XL dual-sim from Microsoft, and it is a great phone. However, I am having a lot of issues with the messaging app right now. It takes a very long time to load the app and the individual conversations. When sending texts it takes 3-10 seconds before sending. I deleted all the texts on my phone, which I had backed up and loaded.
I'm a big fan of SMS, in fact I get several SMS per day. However, a friend is wanting to borrow my phone and I dont want things like my eBay notifications, and even worse personal messages, to be popping up.And just turning off notifications wont work, he's a nosey son of a. well he's nosey so he'll take time if he's bored to read through all the messages that appear. How can I 100% stop all SMS messaging on the phone? I dont want them to be able to be received or sent (dissabeling MS Outlook would be fine, I really dont care - as long as it wont come up and still send/recieve when he taps it's icon in "programs")I really _dont_ want to turn the feature off carrier-side because this is on Sprint's now-defunct SERO plan and I dont want to risk being told "oh to turn that back on you need to change your plan" or similar bull... (esp since I rip them a new one with my truely-unlimited data useage exceeding 10gb some months! ^_^)Also I plan on using SPB backup to do a full-backup before I loan it to him so _anything_ will do, I dont care if it "cant be undone without a hard reset" since I plan to do that.
Apparently I'm the stupidest person with this phone. According to every website I've found you just START> Internet sharing> USB + Data> Connect and your online.I do this and it tells me "check USB connection" the USB is active, the phone is charging, but my PC says its an "unknown device".I spent hours searching for the intrepid's USB driver to no avail. (tried the "update driver wizard" in XP and it couldnt find drivers either.
I have a Sprint Samsung Intrepid phone that I am trying to unlock and use the AT&T network. I cannot locate the IMEI number just the MEID number. The phone has a sim card I just need to know if anyone knows how to unlock this phone.
I have updated my phone to 2.3.4 and started to have this problem, my phone takes a while to wake up ie: when pressing the home button or when the phone rings the screen takes 1.5-2 seconds to light up!
I've experienced some slow switching between wifi on and wifi off.. Especially when I switch wifi to 'OFF' it would take several seconds up to half a minute if not more....
After many troubles with my E7 has been changed by Nokia already 2 times cause to battery problems I still have many problems and would like to know how to solve them. The calendar is super super slow !! If I try to change day it takes a lot of time and IMPOSSIBLE to modify an eventif I try to modify before opening it it takes 20 seconds. Other problem is Phone Book it is crazy we can not modify the details in the contacts. Example I would like to add 2 or 3 mobile numbers but NEED to change and personalize the tag as "mum phone" or personal mobile or second mobile but I can t ! Or you house the tags already done like office, personal or similar in E7 or impossible to personalize the like it was on E90 Other important problem Is there a way to print my calendar and my phone book ?? The sw version I have is Symbian Anna 0.22.014 2011.07.05 / 022.014.211.03 2011 07 16 but on Nokia site it seems there is a new version for Anna but if I try to update my phone it says there are no new versions.is it normal
While typing on keypad or pressing on apps it takes longer to respond it reaches to 10 sec, that's really bad just like having a PC which has a virus in it and it doesn't respond to the orders.
With the latest mm but also with the beta when I send a whatsapp message it doesn't send immediately but takes up to 30 -40 seconds. This happens only on the first one because if I send other messages after that they are sent immediately.
I'm sure it's not a connection issue since telegram works like a charm.
I recently brought a new 1320 and my god... Its so slow! Most apps take around 10 seconds to load, many games won't download and when I do find a game which downloads it just crashes, sometimes when I click the unlock button it can take around 20 seconds to unlock... This is rare but it does happen... I have soft and hard reset and it did not fix anything, I have everything turned off and have no apps running... I have Windows Phone 8.1 installed but really don't think this is the problem, Its really annoying me because the battery is good, but its just so slow and many things play up...
When I reboot my Xoom LTE, dialogue boxes don't open. The screen darkens as though one is coming, but then nothing happens.
Example: I reboot my Xoom and open my email. I click on a link. I expect to see the dialgue box asking me what web browser to use to open the link, but the screen only darkens.
Today, I decided to see if it was just me being impatient. At 1:51p, I tried to open a link after my Xoom had been rebooted around 5a. I left the Xoom alone afterwards. At 4p, it still hadn't managed to open the dialogue box. But now at 9:30p, it opens like normal.
This happens every time I restart my Xoom. I have tried to manage for it. After setting up a "Box" account last week, I loaded the tablet app, but it caused there to be a dialogue box whenever I clicked the "mail" notification, so I got rid of it. I can't just live with one web browser, though. Nor is the stock video player equipped to play all those files.
If i keep my emails "forever" in the setting, do those emails take up application memory? Meaning, over the next few months to more emails i have on my phone to less application memory i should have over time?
This is my third BlackBerry Bold 9000, and the first time I've had problems downloading the FB app. It says 'Sorry, your device does not meet the systems requirements that are needed to support FB.' I've tried resending service book and removing battery - which did nothing. My Bold is v 4.6.303, platform 4.0.0.248, application memory 61.0MB, Device memory 859.2MB (free space 823.6MB).
I have a N900 and know the Ovi software does not work with it. I am trying to find a PC Messaging Application which I can use to type and send SMS from the PC, and which would help me back up my SMS from the N900 to the PC. Does anyone know of any such applications?
I am a brand new X6 user, I am not event very familiar with Symbian S60 OS. I recently purchased the application known as ThreadedSMS because I like to see my text messages threaded as in conversation form. After I installed it, the original messaging application still pops up notifications in addition to ThreadedSMS. Also when I click on a contact and wish to send a text message, it uses the original messaging application instead of Threaded SMS.Is there a way to set the OS's default messaging application to be Threaded SMS so that I don't get double the notifications of incoming text messages, and so when I try to send a text message via contacts it doesnt pull up the original SMS application. Also, does anyone know a more finger friendly Contact Manager application (similar to iPhone )?
On the LG Eve I have an icon for text messaging that appears on the lower bar on the home screen. It is there with contacts, dialer, etc. I have downloaded another text messaging application (Handscent SMS), that shows me how many new messages I have and has more functionality than the application that came with the phone.
So now I have two text messaging apps.Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the application that came with the phone? Or at least disable it? When I get a text message, I get notifications from both applications and I don't want that.
After looking over upgrade options, he settled on a Vivaz. We have AT&T's Family Plan. He proceeded to start using the built-in Instant Messaging app, which I endorsed because it had the AOL Instant Messenger logo right in it. I assumed that the Instant Messenger use would use his Internet Data Plan. Surprise when I got the first month's bill and AT&T saw fit to route those messages out their SMS system and hit me with close to $40 in "extra TXT" fees. I'm going to ruin one of their employee's day tomorrow. But that's not why I'm here. I deleted that infernal IM app and have found eBuddy, with which I am familiar. I have downloaded it to the Vivaz and it runs, but when it starts is asks for permission to use the Internet, and then it sits there and says "installing". WHen I click "Cancel", I am told: "Your Internet settings must be activated for Java applications, or try again later. Check your phone manual or www.ebuddy.com on how to do this." Well, neither place mentions anything about this. How can I get this application to run?
I have been using SII ( GT I9100, Andriod ver 2.3.5;Kernnel 2.6.35.7) since more than a year its been working fine until I got it upgraded to Ice although due to various problems I got it resorted to its previous version however sine then its extremely slow when I open any contact it takes some time to display the numbers saved in the contact moreover it takes several minutes to open play store furthermore some time callers complaints that your phone was not responding however I was in normal coverage area
Recently I've upgraded my SE Xperia mini pro to Android Icecream Sandwich 4.0.After upgrading I'm facing issue with Inbuilt Messaging application. It immediately clears all my messages, thereafter all messages appears back some time later .Even problem appearing in 3rd Party - PANSI Messaging application too.I've grouped my messages in folders other than to keep all in Inbox. This immediately removes all messages from folders and sits all in INBOX which is very time consuming for grouping again n again.
I have reported this so many times to BB that I am starting to think they don't really have anyone out there fixing these things as we have had at least one update since the first report and its still happening. My device freezes up and eventually comes back with the following message:Uncaught exception: Application net-rim-bb-messaging-app (148) is not responding: process terminated. Then control is returned to the device. Its now starting to freeze up when I turn the device on first thing in the morning, though here it doesn't normally come up with the message but after about 5 mins will give me access to the device.

Am aware 1 fix is to delete my BY account and set up not clicking on the Premium box. works & em stay in Inbox but email thing is slowed down and not sure I'm "losing" by not clicking Premium setup. Is this problem with disappearing email gonna b a problem for while? Do I contact Virgin Media?
