I have a Sprint Samsung Intrepid phone that I am trying to unlock and use the AT&T network. I cannot locate the IMEI number just the MEID number. The phone has a sim card I just need to know if anyone knows how to unlock this phone.
View 3 RepliesI'm a big fan of SMS, in fact I get several SMS per day.However, a friend is wanting to borrow my phone and I dont want things like my eBay notifications, and even worse personal messages, to be popping up.And just turning off notifications wont work, he's a nosey son of a. well he's nosey so he'll take time if he's bored to read through all the messages that appear.How can I 100% stop all SMS messaging on the phone? I dont want them to be able to be received or sent (dissabeling MS Outlook would be fine, I really dont care - as long as it wont come up and still send/recieve when he taps it's icon in "programs")I really _dont_ want to turn the feature off carrier-side because this is on Sprint's now-defunct SERO plan and I dont want to risk being told "oh to turn that back on you need to change your plan" or similar bull... (esp since I rip them a new one with my truely-unlimited data useage exceeding 10gb some months! ^_^)Also I plan on using SPB backup to do a full-backup before I loan it to him so _anything_ will do, I dont care if it "cant be undone without a hard reset" since I plan to do that.

According to every website I've found you just START> Internet sharing> USB + Data> Connect and your online.I do this and it tells me "check USB connection" the USB is active, the phone is charging, but my PC says its an "unknown device".I spent hours searching for the intrepid's USB driver to no avail. (tried the "update driver wizard" in XP and it couldnt find drivers either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is a major harassment for me because I send and recieve a lot of email and SMS on my phone. When I open the Mail app, I get no responce for 10+ seconds, then the app "opens" but will not respond for atleast 20 seconds, often with the titlebar still showing my today screen. This also happens when I'm in a message/conversation and just hit "ok" to go back to the list of messages/conversations, it's atleast 30 seconds before I can select anything. Anyone know what's wrong? I only have 6-7 conversations on the page and 10 or less emails on that page. Rebooting the phone only makes a minor difference in speed. Have not hard-reset because I dont want to lose all my contacts, apps, etc.

However I can't find if the moment supports SPP or HID profiles. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Corby plus here that works on rogers. needless to say (you've probably figured it out on your own. congrats!), I want it unlocked, and after many fruitless searches, I'm more than a bit frustrated about my lack of success. The only results I found are for those damn sites that charges you for an unlock code, and there's no way I'll ever pay 20 dollars for unlock code. Am I clear? I don't want people coming here to tell me stuff like "lololol get your unlock code from mobile in canada :P". I want to know how I'm supposed to unlock this stupid phone, and I'll handle the rest.

I am trying to save him a few dollars as he has a lot on his plate with his mortgage and all. I ran Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock after rooting using ODIN etc - I put in the unlock code and it said unlock successful. After putting in my Orange SIM and switching on, I am getting the network error symbol and am unable to make calls. (Interestingly, I do get the Orange SIM Plus app icon on the phones desktop. Also, the phone still boots with the 3 logo - was expecting this to have disappeared completely!).

View 15 Replies View Relatedafter arguing with sprint for hours and trying to "legally" get PAM added to my account with no avail, i got tired of arguing and hung up and decided to see if i could get around it on a BB while still having a decent plan.well you can.
These instructions are at your own risk, and while i was able to do it to both a curve and a pearl, and im assuming since all BB's are about the same it should work on the tour and 8830, it's at your own risk.
I am not posting this from my normal username, as it's a little risky for me to do so so please know that i've had plenty of posts on here and been around since '04 Ok so here goes.Step 1: Install QPST 2.7 build 215 (this is very important, no other one will work, find it yourself )
Step 2: Obtain your MSL/SPC from Sprint (if you dont already have it)Step 3: Get your PowerVision Username (if you dont know it, you can do ##xxxxxx and press call from the homescreen x=msl/spc, it's the [URL] in the list)Step 4: Start BBDM and QPST Configuration at the same time, then once you add the port to QPST, selct "Service Programming" from the drop down menu.
Step 5: Select your phone in the list, dont worry it will act like it doesnt know the chipset model, select SURF6300 BB from the list and say OK
Step 6: go to the MIP tab Step 7: Create a new MIP profile that looks just like this (except in the NAI and Tethered NAI, you'll enter your PV username) -- once you're done you will have two profiles, the first one im assuming is for provisioning and i wouldnt mess with it.
Step 8: click "OK" then "write to phone", it will give an error about the model changing on com X, do you want to close the connection?, say NO it will write anyway, then you will get another error about the phone not responding.. that's because it rebooted.Step 9: once the phone reboots, create a manual DUN connection (i assume if you're on here and understand how to use PST you can make a DUN connection ) with the connection as follows:

I know these phones can be unlocked for use on GSM networks using programs like RhodiumW.Does it matter that this phone has a Bad ESN? Would this prevent me from unlocking this phone and using it on a GSM network (T-Mobile, AT&T)?
