Recently I bought A Samsung SGH A886. And I am currently in Contract with FIDO, knowing that this Phone was a ROGERS Phone. I bought it because a friend of mine told me that it's possible to unlock it. I`ve been trying to look for someone that can unlock it. But I've heard that all you need is a Code to Unlock the Phone permanently.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got a Samsung Forever (SGH-A886) and I would like to be able to put games on it that I have DLed onto my computer.problem is that rogers and there infinite wisdom have fixed it so that you cant do this. I transfer the game to the phone, fine but when I try to run it it tells me that its an "unsuported file format". Now I know this is because the phone has been locked so that you have to DL stuff directly to the phone but I don't have a data plan and would really like to be able to put these games and such onto my phone from my computer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a N85 device which is locked only for Orange IL sim card. I called my operator support and center and they provided a SIM UNLOCK code which didn't unlocked my device. They said that there must be a problem with my device and it can't be unlocked.
My question is : Is it possible that I can't unlock my device ?
Just to make things clear I didn't use a hacked key from the web, I called Orange IL support center and they provided the unlock code ( I had to pay for that code).

When I type in MEPD, I get the next screen, as I should be getting. However, my display reads:
SIM Disabled
Network Disabled
Net Subset Disabled
Sev Provider Disabled
Corporate Disabled
I have seen several posts where Network reads Inactive instead of disabled, and am not sure if this is my problem or not, but when I type MEP2 on this screen, the window that should come up for my unlock code does NOT come up. I have read in several places to try MEPP2, or MEPE. Neither of these codes work.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9700. It was buyed to Orange Spain. I got it unblocked by a MEP code. It worked with other companies since that day. Later, it got broken and I took the device to the store and it got repared by an official tech of RIM. It now works, but I am unable to unlock it (make it work with ohter telephone companies) with the same code I used previously.

However, when I connect it to the computer via a USB cable the same password doesn't work. The password is all letters. I do not remember ever entering a password to synch my device before so I can't remember if that is supposed to be the same password. I did try once with caplocks on just to make sure that the password wasn't all caps, but that did not work either. I'm baffled. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
I called AT&T today and they supplied me with a unlock code for my rugby . My problem is they only gave me 8 numbers. is there a specific way of entering the numbers?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Corby plus here that works on rogers. needless to say (you've probably figured it out on your own. congrats!), I want it unlocked, and after many fruitless searches, I'm more than a bit frustrated about my lack of success. The only results I found are for those damn sites that charges you for an unlock code, and there's no way I'll ever pay 20 dollars for unlock code. Am I clear? I don't want people coming here to tell me stuff like "lololol get your unlock code from mobile in canada :P". I want to know how I'm supposed to unlock this stupid phone, and I'll handle the rest.

I ran Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock after rooting using ODIN etc - I put in the unlock code and it said unlock successful. After putting in my Orange SIM and switching on, I am getting the network error symbol and am unable to make calls. (Interestingly, I do get the Orange SIM Plus app icon on the phones desktop. Also, the phone still boots with the 3 logo - was expecting this to have disappeared completely!).

I also hear it not when I swipe up and put in the pattern lock I have, but when the phone unlocks after that when the homescreen comes up. Is this Normal? I swear I didn't hear it before.
