This happened to me but when I connect to itunes I get this message! "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes." So what now?

A few years ago my work blackberry was stolen while I was traveling. My office was able to send a command to the blackberry to instruct the phone wipe its data. Fast forward to yesterday when I lost my personal blackberry with AT&T. I would like a similar command to be sent to the lost phone. I brought it up with AT&T customer service who have never heard of such a thing.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy daughter has bought today a new Torch 9810. She has entered a new device password. After a few hours she tried to enter her password, but she forgot her password.
After a read of some internet groups, the solution is simple, just type 10 times your password and the BB will restart. I know that all data will be removed, but that is no issue.
Unfortunately the BB will not restart after I retype for then times the wrong password After the reset it starting with a White screen, with a sort of document icon. Within this document icon, appear a lock and cross sign, beneath this icon there is a counter with is repeatedly showing from 0 till 100% and then start over again.
I've tried to disconnect the battery for at least 1 minute, Put in a different sim card, let it run for almost one hour, but nothing seems to work.
Lost contacts wen updated phone and a previous device 3G contacts were placed on my new device

My Curve 8900 has started to lock on it's own. Sometimes it happens when I'm typing an email or text, sometimes it happens when I'm waiting for a browser page to upload. Initially I thought it might be a particular keystroke I was hitting but it has happened when I'm simply holding the device and not typing at all. Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how to fix it?

I have the Galaxy S5 and would like to be able to quickly lock it with a key press or something similar. That way I can increase the time before it automatically lock for quicker access. We were comparing our devices and founf that at certain area the Storm 2 signal is on 3G with the bb logo but my Bold 9700 signal shows EDGE. But when I change the option at Mobile Network to 3G only, my Bold 9700 is able to lock the signal to 3G, however when I change back Mobile Network to 3G & 2G it goes back o EDGE (not immediately though).
I am currently running OS .680.... Is there a fix to the problem above or it is a known Bold 9700 issue or a known .680 issue. I have not try this with previous OS so not sure if it will acted differently.Any opinion. Am considering downgrading the OS but will wait for feedback first.
I don't want the side standby button to lock my device EVERY time I press it, and sometimes I can't wait 5/10/15 minutes for the device to lock itself.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an S5 for my work device. It is locked into the corporate policies setup by my IT department.
My first issue is - as part of policy, I must have a strong password and my phone auto locks after 30 minutes. When I make calls, even 3 second phone calls, the phone will lock after I hang up.
My second issue is kind of linked to the first - when my phone is connected to my Sony Car Stereo, it disables the keyboard so I cannot type (obviously a safety feature), which is fine because I do not drive and text/email etc. except that after I take a call, I cannot unlock my phone to allow me to make another call.
I am using the Google calendar sync to push my Outlook appointments to my Google calendar, and then using the Google calendar app on my BB 8530 to download my consildated Outlook/Google calendar.This works great, except for one problem. When I receive an invite for a meeting via my Exchange email on my device, it automatically adds it to my calendar, hence creating a duplicate calendar item.
In my calendar options on my BB, the "Wireless Sync" option is grayed out and set to "No." (since I don't use a BES connection)
How can I stop my BB from adding items to my calendar automatically when it sees the calendar invite in my email on the device?
I have Verizon service and use webmail to sync my Exchange email.
I just started noticing that when I hit the power button on my N6 and it shuts off I hear a popping sound. I also hear it not when I swipe up and put in the pattern lock I have, but when the phone unlocks after that when the homescreen comes up. Is this Normal? I swear I didn't hear it before.

When I went to plug it into my computer yesterday to back up my info, etc. it prompted me to upgrade to 5.0.0.484 from 4.7 (I believe.)Question - after I upgraded, the lock device feature went away. I usually use the left convenience key to lock it. However, the icon is no longer there and I no longer have the option available in the keyboard/screen section. PLEASE HELP! View 6 Replies View RelatedI purchased my N97 about a year ago and I absolutely adore it. I haven't run into any problems until last week. When I turn on my phone, enter the unlock code and use it to do whatever I need to do, it works fine. However, if I lock the phone or let the backlight shut off, it won't turn back on and neither do the lights on the number keys. Here is the funny part: If I press the power key (as if I were to change my profile) the backlight turns on, allowing me to see the screen, but the number keys don't light up! Does anyone know what I can do?
I'm not very tech savvy (so please don't laugh if my solutions are completely wrong), but here are some of the things I have done to try and rectify the problem:
- Let the battery drain completely and charged it in the hopes that it would rectify itself like it has in the past with other issues
- Took out the battery, SIM card and memory card just to make sure everything was inserted properly
- Restored the phone to factory settings
Friend of my husbands gave my daughter an iphone 4 with a cracked screen. This is good enough for the daughter who would probably crack her screen soon. We WANT to restore it and not have any old data. She purchased an ATT Go phone sim card, so that she can use it with the phone. it works, says it's activated, but still won't do anything without the passcode. Isn't there a hardware reset or something?

I want to be able to check my email thru the GMail application; get notifications for my Yahoo Messenger, missed calls, voicemails, and SMS Text and MMS messages thru the BlackBerry Messages app; and my Gmail calendar thru the BlackBerry Calendar app.
I can't figure out how to make my email NOT appear in Messages. So, I created a dummy email account that gets no email and set that up as the default email account. Now I get my real email thru the Gmail app, and all the other notifications thru Messages (and no emails in there). Great, but the Calendar app won't work with my Gmail account because it only wants to connect to the dummy gmail account and to Facebook. I don't want Facebook to touch my calendar, and I have set it as such in the Facebook App options, but it still does. Using Google Sync, I managed to get my real calendar to show up in the Calendar as Default. When I run the sync, the appointments I created in the online Gmail calendar appear in the Calendar as being on the Facebook calendar.
From the Calendar, I can not create appointments for my real Gmail account, only for my dummy account and for Facebook. If I delete the appointments from the Facebook calendar, then after syncing it deletes the appointments from my online Gmail calendar. I think what I need to know boils down to "how can I prevent email from appearing in Messages?". If I can figure that out, then I can delete the dummy account and set up the email as my real account and then the calendar should work correctly.
