A few years ago my work blackberry was stolen while I was traveling. My office was able to send a command to the blackberry to instruct the phone wipe its data. Fast forward to yesterday when I lost my personal blackberry with AT&T. I would like a similar command to be sent to the lost phone. I brought it up with AT&T customer service who have never heard of such a thing.

I ran over my Blackberry Tour, rendering the screen unusable.
I can access the device from Desktop Manager, and I can run exe.Autoloader/factoryreset from the Windows command prompt.
However, this does not remove the Verizon phone number from the device. Verizon won't work with the phone because the screen is cracked.
What's the correct way to wipe the Verizon data from the command prompt?
If anyone knows How to lock a blackberry set, please guide me to do so, as I have lost my blackberry curve set which has a very important data on it.

View 11 Replies View RelatedOriginally I was having a problem where whenever I tried to load an application onto my device I would get an error saying that there was not enough room on the device. (Even though there was about 15GB left...)I decided to try a "Data Wipe" from the Settings menu.The Data Wipe seems to have worked a little too well and wipe everything on the device except the browser app. The device also does not connect to the PC anymore.Whenever I connect it to a computer the "BlackBerry Smartphone" driver installs but nothing else. The Device Manager does not recognize it either. Nor does the Desktop Manager.I have tried a couple different computer and nothing has worked.I have also tried to install the device update, but because none of the drivers will recognize the device I cannot install the update as the update tool does not recognize the device is plugged in.

2 days ago my friend brought his 9700 for me to upgrade OS. I used security wipe, then tried using BBSAK to wipe the OS and it asked for password. Then I used AppLoder to install the new OS and it asked for password again.
Why didn't security wipe delete the device password this time?
Yesterday i got notification with new update that i have to setup, so after charging my phone at night i started the update this morning then boom I can't start my nexus anymore...
First I got message ( your device is corrupted. it can't be trusted and may not work properly ) although i didn't make any custom rom nor recovery nor unlock my boot loader
Second I got No command error , then boot loop all the way .....
After some google i tried to press power + volume up and down to enter recovery ( the stock recovery ). I did wipe cash + wipe data factory hoping it solve the problem but seems no way
Also i read Heisenberg's How-To Guide For Beginners many times and downloaded last Stock img but can't install it via fastboot cause i didn't activate usb debugging before nor “Enable OEM Unlock” so i can't even unlock my nexus.

I've accidentally wiped my brand new Bold 9790 by a mistake after 10 times password try.It seems that I have lost lots of things on it which I cannot remember all of them, but at least I can remember I had "Advanced system setting" or something like that, and "BlackBerry Device Analyzer" and as far as I know two different part for checking Battery status. What should I do to or what I have to do to restore them or to get these back? I also wonder where I can see what I had at the beginning in all tabs and menus and in each part?

I pulled out the sd card first, just in case. Now that everything is back and running...I realized that the private photos (which I had moved to sd card) are missing. I've Googled around, no luck finding them. Even when I plug into a PC I don't see them.
Why this happens? Hangouts is working just fine, but when I voice command to send a Hangouts message says "Account not found."

1. Perform a complete back up using Blackberry Desktop Software.
2. Perform security wipe manually on the phone via Options > Security > Security Wipe.
3. After wiped, I using Blackberry Desktop Software to restore my backed up data.
4. Starting from now, i can't send/receive emails.

I am no longer using one of them, so I deleted it using the email account setup application on the device, as well as going online to my Sprint BlackBerry account and deleting it there. The icon is still appearing on my device, and for some reason, is now the default account for sending emails. Since the account has, in fact, been deleted, emails don't actually go through from this account. It's a huge pain to keep remembering to change the account I send emails from. On a side note - I have also changed my settings to use a different account as my default account - it doesn't make a difference. The settings are right when I check them, but when I test them, the old (deleted) account is still the default. What am I missing?? How can I get rid of this account once and for all? I really don't want to wipe my device and start over...
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy daughter has bought today a new Torch 9810. She has entered a new device password. After a few hours she tried to enter her password, but she forgot her password.
After a read of some internet groups, the solution is simple, just type 10 times your password and the BB will restart. I know that all data will be removed, but that is no issue.
Unfortunately the BB will not restart after I retype for then times the wrong password After the reset it starting with a White screen, with a sort of document icon. Within this document icon, appear a lock and cross sign, beneath this icon there is a counter with is repeatedly showing from 0 till 100% and then start over again.
I've tried to disconnect the battery for at least 1 minute, Put in a different sim card, let it run for almost one hour, but nothing seems to work.
The SMS function on my BB has comletely dissapeared from the menue. i can receive SMS but not reply - as there is no reply function.
