BB Bold 9700 :: Appworld Upgrade Not Working / Device Not Meeting Requirements
Jan 11, 2010I have upgraded to the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and I am having trouble getting the BlackBerry Appworld to work ... I have updated it to the latest software available and it still says that my BlackBerry does not meet the system requirements.Has anyone got any suggestions?I am with 3 and I have the BlackBerry Browser and email package on it too ... also there is no option for me to set up my hotmail account on the system it is only allowing me to use a BlackBerry Enterprise Server account.

May 15, 2012i got the os 6.0.0.448 install on my 9700 a couple of months now. since then ive been experiencing alot of memort leaks....my phone goes from 27.1MB-6.2MB in less than 4 hours! its so frustrating when i have to constantly keep rebooting my phone...i dont have much apps install either! i tried upgrading.. i download the os that i wanted followed the instructions and when i click finish for the update to start, i get a command saying that my os was successfully updated but its not...still the same.

Jul 1, 2012I have unknowingly upgraded by BB9700 software from OS 5 to OS 6 and it has screwed up my phone entirely..Its soooo slow and keeps hanging....Even the device memory is Low (14 mb) post upgrade...I wanna revert to OS 5....I am using a MAC (v 10.6.8) and have researchd the net and the various forums but could not find any solutions for MAC users....I am using the BB desktop software and thats where i upgraded the OS....Also how does one free up the device memory? Feb 12, 2010I am a noob so please forgive me ..i had a booting error yesterday where the red light stuck on with a black screen and i had to pull the battery (luckily for me it revived) sadly after it loaded i realized i lost all my contacts however this happened when my brother soft reset it when it was connected via usb to the pc so i guess some current interference buged the loading process.
Then today i soft reset my bold i got a white screen with app loader i believe 523 error reset or something, i cant quite remember but i think thats it however i hit either the end key or the enter key (sorry to so vague guys i got scared) ....after i pressed those buttons it began the reboot cycle ...loaded up and has been fine ever since..just wondering if you think i should upgrade my Os or just leave it i am on 4.6.0.162...

Aug 25, 2010I am using BB Desktop version 5 and tried to update my device to OS 5 from AT&T. My Bold 9000 is now dead. My desktop manager stated a fatal error, then my device reset. And the only thing that displays is the Orange AT&T screen. How can I get the device to function again. I did a back up and a sync prior to the install.

Twitter, Facebook, and the Browser do not work, saying that I am unconnected to wifi, when I do have a connection. This always happens at "uploading ram image" part, just after "connecting to boot Rom" part of update process.I have tried on two different PC's, and tried on multiple devices. I have tried completely wiping the device of its application, and I have tried without wiping OS off. I have tried with desktop manager 5.0.1 and with desktop manager 4.3. I have tried connected to internet, and I have tried without being connected.Nothing seems to prevent this error.Both my PC's are DELL running XP.I would love some help, anybody have any idea what is going on? I need to downgrade some 8330's, and I also just need to reload the OS's on some other phones.

I already try to download the device software from the list of provider (in this case, I use indosat, cause im in indonesia) and the site is under maintenance huff...when i giving up on upgrading my os, i try to upgrade my bbm to bbm 6 version.. then, my device reboot.. and its gone.. there's no bbm icon.. in my application management, there's blackberry messenger still in version 5, but when i try once again) download the new one from the web, it said "Already installed"

I backed up the phone prior to the wipe but did not turn off wireless sync. I have deleted desktop sync service book, rebooted, tried to restore. No success. Even reinstalled OS. Is there combo-keys to enter on phone that turns off wireless sync prior to restore? 9850 Storm.
