BB Bold :: Extreme Memory Leaks & Cant Upgrade Or Downgrade?

i got the os 6.0.0.448 install on my 9700 a couple of months now. since then ive been experiencing alot of memort leaks....my phone goes from 27.1MB-6.2MB in less than 4 hours! its so frustrating when i have to constantly keep rebooting my phone...i dont have much apps install either! i tried upgrading.. i download the os that i wanted followed the instructions and when i click finish for the update to start, i get a command saying that my os was successfully updated but its not...still the same.

My friend has a 9000, now hes very Tech(not even a computer, no judging) at all so when he has a problem with his phone he hollas at me. Now I've been occasionally upgrading his phone to latest leaks and hybrids, now the last hybrid I put on his phone was a 5.0.0.4xx hybrid, which was a while ago,he calls the other day to tell me that his phone is randomly dropping calls and that battery is getting hotter then usual. Now he took it to somebody to get it looked at(not his carrier) and they told him that the hardware is fine and that it might be the software. He calls me and asks me if I could upgrade( I upgrade to the latest leak for 9000) his phone to see if that fixes it.That was yesterday, hes calling again to day and saying that he still has the same problem, dropping calls like crazy, and battery is getting real hot. I was wondering how difficult it would be to do a hardware upgrade on the Bold 9000 increasing the app memory from 128mb to 256mb. What other changes have to be made to facilitate this?

Ever since upgrading to OS 6 about 2 weeks ago, my Bold 9700 loses memory at a rate of about 2 MB/hour. That means freezing and battery pulling twice a day. Today 3 times.There are no new apps since the upgrade.

I upgraded my Blackberry Bold 9700 to version 6 from version 5. Now I always get the message that I have low memory. I unstalled 50% of my apps and I still get the message. I even uninstalled App World and I still get the message. Is there a way to fix this? Or should I go back to version 5?

After Upgrading my 9700 to OS 6 there has been serious memory issues with my device. I am always shot of memory on the device. I had to uninstall my GPS apps and many utility software.I feel the 512 MB onboard memory is too small to OS 6 which take up lots of space.

I would like to go back to windows 8.0 because I have realised too many anomalies with 8.1 software, first I cannot customise the kid's corner anymore, my camera is also not good enough and I cannot use mobile data internet.
I would also like to find out if I can re-upgrade to windows 8.1. I am suspecting that it may not have installed correctly because there was power interruption during the upgrade process. My phone is Lumia 1020.

Ive been able for a couple years to upgrade and downgrade blackberry device software on various models, both GSM and CDMA. But for some reason I have started getting this error: Microsoft Visual +++ Runtime Library -R6002 Floating Point Not Loaded Then a "fatal error" occurs with the blackberry desktop manager when I am in middle of upgrading OS. This always happens at "uploading ram image" part, just after "connecting to boot Rom" part of update process.I have tried on two different PC's, and tried on multiple devices. I have tried completely wiping the device of its application, and I have tried without wiping OS off. I have tried with desktop manager 5.0.1 and with desktop manager 4.3. I have tried connected to internet, and I have tried without being connected.Nothing seems to prevent this error.Both my PC's are DELL running XP.I would love some help, anybody have any idea what is going on? I need to downgrade some 8330's, and I also just need to reload the OS's on some other phones.

I wonder if there's any way to downgrade my BB. The version I use is '6.0 Bundle 1202 (v6.0.0.344, Platform 6.6.0.50)'. I have had serious problems with this version, so want to downgrade it. One of the problems is that I can't type Korean in this version (I can read it, but can't type it). how to downgrade it to version 5 or to make the device able to type Korean?

I recently was forced to do the upgrade to 6.0 on my bold 9700. I now lost the ability to reply all in texting. This is a feature I use a lot. I have tried calling t-mobile and the suggestion was to downgrade to 5.0OS but they don't have the software. I have tried finding it on blackberry's website and still no luck. I'm seriously on the verge of leaving blackberry and t-mobile since neither of them are helping in getting this resolved. The iphone has this feature and maybe its time I move on.

i downloaded the 6.0 update about a month ago, and it blows. its annoying, themes dont work on it, sucks to use because hitting left twice quickly makes you go back so when youre copying text you need to do it very slowly, and is just not what i expect of an "update". So how do i downgrade?? Is there a way i can do it from my phone?? When i go to update it says up to date and nothing else is there.

Having unexplainable data use lately. My mobile share plan just got obliterated for this month. The local WP guru at my ATT shop and I went through and blocked maybe 6 or so apps, nothing unusual, just twitter, weather channel, crackle(for sure not running) and a couple of others. We suspect one of these apps was doing something but we were not able to nail down the suspect app.

Today, I turned on my extreme power saver mode. I turned it on at 1 p.m at about 11% and at 3 o'clock it was down to 4% . That doesn't really seem like any kind of power saving to me. I burned up 7 percent in 2 hours, and I wasnt using the phone. I think I might've used less power had I not done anything!!

Recently, in the past couple of days, my iPhone 5 will not connect to my airport extreme to my home network unless it is within 15 feet of the router. This is an extremely short range. My parents' and sister's iPod touch and iPhones work perfectly fine. They have the same range as they always have. What is wrong with my device? I have tried resetting my modem and airport in multiple different orders. I hard reset my iPhone. I powered it off, then back on. Turned wifi off and on

blackberry to OS6 but don't like it and would like to get it back on OS5 but don't know how to do it without a computer. I do have unlimited data so I don't have to worry about the amount of data when downloading the. how to get used to OS5 because it makes my device a lot slower than when it was on OS5 so if there is any possible way at all

I accidently upgraded my phone to os 6.0, because I thought I was upgrading blackberry software for my pc, but in the process it changed my phone os to something else because it was still connected with usb cable to my pc. I personally enjoyed the simplicity of os 5.0 and would be very happy if someone could explain how I can downgrade it back to os 5.0 from os 6.0. I did call T-Mobile and they could not help me, so if you know something I should do.

I have unknowingly upgraded by BB9700 software from OS 5 to OS 6 and it has screwed up my phone entirely..Its soooo slow and keeps hanging....Even the device memory is Low (14 mb) post upgrade...I wanna revert to OS 5....I am using a MAC (v 10.6.8) and have researchd the net and the various forums but could not find any solutions for MAC users....I am using the BB desktop software and thats where i upgraded the OS....Also how does one free up the device memory? I keep deleting old mails / pics / msgs / cache / history / media files etc....Is there any other way to free up device memory? Also how does one save downloaded applications from BB App world to media card instead of device memory?

Even if there is not additional application in the device it hangs frequently.Many people have shared in their post regarding this issue. It says we first have to wipe the device and install os5. I upgraded my SK17i to the latest ICS 4.1.B.0.587 and there is extream battery drain while the phone is on stand by. I tried repairing the phone and reflashing with flashtool, still the same problem persists. see the below screenshots. The phone has been idle (No use at all) and the time without signal is 0%. what we need above all advanced features is EXCELENT BATTERY LIFE! what you have done to make the battery drain faster?

So about a month or so ago, I did the OS 6 upgrade, just to keep my software up to day. That was the worst idea ive ever had. I absolutely HATE EVERYTHING about OS 6. I couldn't name one thing i like about it. Not to mention it causes my phone to constantly freeze, it drains my battery quickly, and it runs so slowly. Is there any possible way to finally get rid of this terrible upgrade and go back to what I had? I cant take it anymore!
