I once did the memory wipe out for emails, Contacts, ect. Now every time i take out my battery, the contacts and emails all delete. And there is a message that pops up when it turns on This Handheld Device Includes software that is Proprietary And Confidental to Research Motion Limited ("RIM") And/Or Its Affiliates And Suppliers. Except to the extent that RIM is expressly precluded by law from prohibiting you from doing so, ect. what is the Problem?
my Bold got thrown into a bath by my nephew and after having put it in a bowl of rice for a day and a half, I'm sure it's past the point where I could just continue using it, so I've decided to send it off to get recycled. The problem is, I really don't want to send it off without wiping the memory first! After the rice, I connected it to my laptop and switched it on and it worked well enough for me to think it was completely ok, but since then, the phone won't start, with only the red light going on and off, and a low-battery sign appearing on the screen every so often.
I had photos saved on my memory card i decided to pull my battery out and now all those photos are gone. is their anyway to get them back? why did it do that?
was hoping I could live with this issue until 9700 hits the UK, but now seeing as its probably going to be 2011 before this happens, I need some help with my current 9000.It's on OS 5.0.0.592 and has 12452390 bytes (is that about 12MB?) file free. The main problem is, the phone is barely saving a week's worth of phone calls/emails/texts and I really need them all to be saved for at least a month. I'm a guitar teacher and I check what the craic is with my sutdents by going to their text number and reading back on the message history. But now, a week later and everyone's text logs are blank. I remember for the longest time, I could go back to the first message I ever sent, and I must have had about 10 apps installed. Now I only have GMaps, Viigo, Facebook, Google Sync and IM+, what I would consider essential to my daily workflow. I've tried MaxMem to clear memory, and that's after using that swiss army knife thing to brick the device first to make sure I really cleared the memory. All the tweaks I've read on this site were done as well. This is starting to get pretty frustrating, don't want to see that low memory screen every day, begging me to delete apps!
I want to wipe my device because it won't let me delete the previous email addresses that were added by the user.I got this blackberry from ebay and I dont know if i'll have problems emailing if i do a complete wipe of the device?
today i got my brand new bold 9700!I have found out how to remove the bottom part which is branded ORANGE beneath the keyboard. However i am just wondering as when i turn the phone off an annoying ORANGE logo is shown and shows when you also turn it on...
How can i remove this ?? i dont think i can see any other part of the software that orange has included apart from their own link to services
I have deleted an old e-mail address I no longer use, but it's still synched to all my contacts on my phone. I have a new e-mail address that I would like to replace it with. I can't seem to remove the old sync and add the new one? Anybody know? I think I can do it manually one by one, but I have like 200 contacts.
How do you replace the top cover on the blackberry bold 9700 without removing the entire casing? I've found utube vids on removing the bottom cover but not for the top.
I downloaded a few application that I thought were demos of games, but turned out to just be links to the developer's website. It was essentially just a ploy to get some extra revenue, which I suppose is their perogative, but I found the label to be misleading. In any case, I now wish to remove these "demos", but I can't seem to figure out how. The menu on selection won't let me remove the icon (it can be hidden, but I want it gone), and they don't show up under Setup --> Applications. They also don't appear in App World, so I can't archive/delete them from there. I've been working on this for a while now, to no avail. Any thoughts?
Before I remember finding a graph that showed the memory usage and what was on the media card, but either I forget where it is or its not on the new .442 OS.Can someone please help me out, I did a search and came up dry.
would this not make sense for rim to add in a software update, for us to be able to use a memory card as virtual memory? or use a small portion of memory?
Is it normal for my 9700 to take more than 5 minutes to start up?? Its strange because not to long ago I used to do battery pulls or a soft reset and my device would be up and running within a minute or two!! By the time it load up my battery is almost drained!
i have someone problem in phone. automatically they saying to removing my memory card without safty removing. so i have to restart my phone to get back connect my memory card. but i have 9 MB free phone memory. i dont know what is the reason.
I have an N97 since last year the phone is working well have only 1 little problem my phone memory is full but didn't install anything on it installed all applications or games music and videos are on mass memory the only software installed on phone memory are phone platform maps etc. which was already preinstalled when bought phone the problem that I have is when try to update for eg maps the phone says to me "memory full remove some application before make installation" have tried to remove maps from phone but and try to reinstall it on mass memory but didn't get choice to choose between phone memory or mass memory. as I see all Nokia original application are installed on phone don’t have any choice to transfer it no mass memory...therefore when phone memory is full the phone platform is slow to response want to know if someone have a solution for me.
I accidently removed the battery from the phone while it was still switched on. When the phone reset itself, I lost all my media (photos & mp3). I tried to put my mp3 music back onto the phone from my PC using the desktop manager but an error message pops up telling me I only have 2.8mb of memory. How do I get my memory back?
I have added fewer than 10 apps since getting my Bold 9700. I usually have less than 25MB avail. for adding apps which means I have to delete an app to add an app. When looking at what apps use the most memory, 90% of the apps are RIM apps that are "necessary."What RIM apps can I delete safely?
I'm sure this has been asked before but for some reason when I connect my BB Bold 9700 to my computer it says my memory is very low or exceeding the limit... I have very little apps on my phone, and I regularly delete emails/sms/mms messages. Now when I go to take pictures it says I only have "7 Photos Remaining" when before it never said that. How do I check my memory? Or how do I clear my memory or delete unnecessary things? I have already tried restoring my phone and it didn't really work.
I have set up the camera settings on my E55 to store pictures on the memory card. Now, after transferring those I wanted onto my computer's HD, I deleted most of the photos from the card (in Windows Explorer). However, when I go to 'gallery' on my phone (with the memory card inside), these files can still be seen - i.e., their names and sizes (but not the images). I cannot seem to be able to delete these entries from the phone's interface.
I know there has been a ton of posts about this subject and I have wrote one myself just a few days ago and I got my **** chewed out for even mentioning it. Well I guess the Android platform has just about got that problem licked. They are just around the corner from letting this jewel out. The people from Google said it may be just a "little" slower but will be very usable. The response I received from the forum was that the 9700 had plenty of storage for as many apps as you needed and still operate fast. Agreed but what will happen with the new OS and this great browser around the corner arrives. Many of the phones won't be able to use the new OS because of memory problems so that tells me that it may slow down the 9700 if too many apps are loaded. That is where the ability to save and run apps from memory card will be needed. Android put it together very fast why the **** can't Rim or some company put one together that works?
Is there a direct relationship between the size of the applications being loaded on the Blackberry and the amount of free memory? I had around 90 MB of free space on the device, and then proceeded to load a handful of applications. I haven't done the exact math, but I think I loaded around 5 MB of applications. The free memory has gone down by around 15 to 20 MB. Is there some sort of file management issue that "wastes" memory on the Blackberry? I have tried all the usual tricks to free up memory - running Memory Cleaner, running Memory Booster, clearing all cached items in various applications, pulling the battery. Still, free memory remains below 70 MB.
Used my bold a few months and was very happy. But today, suddenly it can't read my Memory Card anymore. All the data is still there when I check using my computer with a card reader.I did multi times Battery Pull and changed different card..
