I am unable to restore several programs (PWKeeper, BBM, BBTraffic, Memo, Tasks, Maps) after a wipe and OS upgrade. I backed up the phone prior to the wipe but did not turn off wireless sync. I have deleted desktop sync service book, rebooted, tried to restore. No success. Even reinstalled OS. Is there combo-keys to enter on phone that turns off wireless sync prior to restore? 9850 Storm.

At the same time I received the new Torch I want to break with my company's enterprise server. However when I moved data it also moved the company's email account over also. In the new 9850, how can I break from the enterprise server and delete that email account on the new phone?

STILL, no browser, no indication of MMS capabilities, no application for email set up.! Every post that I have read, I have done what is being suggested

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy company had a planned upgrade of our system. I had to wipe my phone and reactivate as a result. Before I did I downloaded Blackberry desktop and backed up my phone. When I went to restore there were two options a complete restore that would put everything back to how it was and a custom restore. I think I can't choose the complete restore since that would remove the company's intended changes changes. If I choose custom restore the password file is grayed out. A note at the bottom tells me the grayed out items are read only data types and cannot be restored. Does anyone know how to restore my data.

Now that I've got it up and working again, when I try to reply to an email or even to send a new email, I get a this message "No message services configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Wizard to setup your email account". When I go to the Setup Wizard it asks if I want to add a new email address. I only have one email address and, when I try to reinput that one, it tells me it's already in. I can't get any further than that.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am not able to access BIS on my 9850 brought from ebay. Am trying to use it in Lagos, Nigeria (where I work) with Glo Telecom. When I restart the phone it shows US Cellular. On the back cover I can see Verizon Logo. My supplier says that it is fully unlocked, and I am able to make phone calls, check balance etc on the new network. The phone shows the network name (Glo ng), etc.The SIM card is the same I was using with my earlier BB (Storm) and has a BIS plan activated and was working before. But the 9850 says I dont have a data plan. I tried using SIM cards from other operators as well, it shows 3G at times and when set to 2G network, it shows "edge" in small letters.
I tried manual registration as well, but did not get any response. The Host Routing Table shows "No entries".Also cannot see any option for Internet email set-up. Only Enerprise Email activation comes up.I am able to use facebook and App World through Wi-Fi. Can Internet email service (Gmail) also be configured through Wi-Fi?I have spoken to US Cellular Customer Service. And he said that there is no issue. If I am not using their network, then the PIN might have been released by US Cellular.

After typing the password, the message Unable to login to your BlackBerry account¯ appears. I have changed the password so many times now it's not even funny to try and fix this problem.What do I do now? How do I fix this problem that reoccurs every time the phone needs updating etc.I apologise for my frustration but this is getting beyond nerves now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBought an unlocked Storm 9530 yesterday and popped in my T-Mobile SIM card. I could text, but not place any calls. When I tried calling, I received a "No circuit/channel available". At the call screen I see a a phone number that isn't mine. After I gave up I turned off the phone for a while and let it charge. Upon booting up I got an error message and my SIM refused to work at all. It says SOS at the top right and even though my mobile network is on, it just doesn't do anything. I have the mode set to GSM/UMTS and 3G/2G. I can't even select a network manually. I get an error that says "Unable to acquire network."

Since the update I am unable to see any of the contacts in Blackberry Desktop Software on my Mac. I have tried a restore of just the 'Address Book - All' and still I can't see anything even though it states that there are 59 records.

Update was completed without any issue and at the end I was shown a page which says restore last back up. Now I did take backup before starting the FW update. However after updating the FW my phone has all my old settings.So question is should restore the last back up ? is that a mandatory step after FW update ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated iTunes and then tried to update to the iOs5.1 via iTunes. This didn't work so I updated via the phone.
The phone switched off and now it is stuck with a screen that says connect to iTunes. When I connect to iTunes it says the phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. I have tried unsuccessfully to restore it for the last 3 hours.
Most of the time the phone would disconnect at 9minutes remaining, or it would seem to download completely and I would then get an error 3529.
I tried disabling the firewall but still nothing works.
I've got a BB Storm 2 and I backup a lot.I also use google sync to sync my adress book and calender.Last night I synces it again and it failed. So I tried it a few times more. Signing out, signing back in and after a while it worked. But what I didn't notice 'till this morning that it totally screwed up my address book. Some contacts I had about 75 times. And I lost most of my contacts.So in my gmail I lost them to.But not a problem. I backed up two days ago. But now it won't restore. It does something to my BB, it changes stuff, but not want I want it to restore. So I tried a full restore, a partial restore, a different backup, turning the BB off. Everything! First I tried it with the old Desktop software and later with the new one. It doesn't work.

I have tried removing everything I don't use, and I still get that message. I also tried upgrading BB DM to 6.0, and when I ran it from there it showed me that the upgarde is a 35MB file!There is no way I can clear that much space on my BB without deleting everything!
