When I reboot my phone, the volume sets itself to 20/30. I set it to 30/30 and reboot, it goes back to 20/30.
BTW, my phone has rebooted itself about 5 times since I got it on Friday.
I like to set my phones volume on 18/30. But it seems like every couple hours or so, the phone will reset it back to a default setting of 13/30.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was one of the first to recieve a Nokia Luma 800. I was quite happy with it because I had wanted one since Nokia first announced they would build a Windows Phone.
During the software update to build 1600.2487.8107.12070, my phone froze. The update went well, but during the final restart, the screen just showed "Nokia". Eventually the batteries went dead, even thought the power cable was plugged in.
I brought the device to an official Nokia repair point, and got it back factory resetted. That first time it cost me half a day to restore my settings.
However, since that day, every now en then the phone just completely resets: I get to enter all my windows live account again and to reinstall all software. Today even installing software didn't work: I got an error message whenever I tried to install a program. I also noted an extra options in my settings page, starting with "@ApplicationsInstallfd7.." That time I manually restored my phone to factory settings, so I could reinstall everything again.
My guess is that it's either a hardware problem, or that the last software update failed. There doesn't seem to be an option to re-install the latest firmware, so I'm not able to check this.
When I took my BlackBerry Curve 2 (8530) off the charger and turned it on this morning, for some reason it reset at the 51% mark during the security software verification. I'm worried that it somehow contracted a virus, or the phone's security software has been compromised. Is there any way to wipe the handset without the phone being powered on 100% (via the keypad or something)? The phone is under 3 months old and should be covered by the manufacturer's warranty - but until I get this fixed, I have no phone to use.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was loving the phone tll the screen started to freeze black during call. I tried all the buttons with no joy and the screen remained black after call. I had to remove the battery to reboot, this reset my time and date to 1980!
I've got to try using my phone for work today, old spare being repaired. I can't even hang up a call.
On my Nexus 5 the master volume control under settings seems to reset itself daily. The notifications and alarm volume setting turns down to very low even when I have set it to the highest volume level earlier that day or the day before. Its a problem when I'm using my phone as an alarm because I'll sleep through the alarm when it goes off and is very quiet! Is there anything I can do to stop it from resetting itself?

About a month ago, I had my blackberry plugged into my truck via headphone jack, and the song volume kept reseting itself about 3 bars lower than max. I changed NOTHING. Since that day, I've had the same issue when streaming my music through my chatterbox via bluetooth with both media player, and slacker. Normal phone speaker seems to work.

Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just brought a Lumia820;When I put the TruPhone sim in it at start up it continually said that there were more apps to put in, then it rebooted, over and over again.Removed Sim and phone started and worked fine, but with no sim in it. Put the sim in again, Phone boots up, but when windows had loaded Phone icon said "No Service" after about 15 seconds, then phone rebooted again. It does this non stop.Put O2 sim in the phone and it works beautifully. At one stage early on the phone said "In GSM mode"

View 1 Replies View Relatedi'm totally happy with my lumia 920 black for about 3 weeks now.I did successfully paired with my Kenwood DDX4021 BT (as i did before with my Lumia 800 and HTC Mozart).The phonebook and call lists were successfully transfered to the radio.
Yesterday i went home and activated blutooth on the phone.It showed message of the features it found and seems to connect (radio showed the connect icon) but then just did a reset and reboot.I tried several times. Every time after/while pairing with the radio the lumia just reboots itself.
I bought my lumia 920 two days ago.I like it.. it is very impressive.I have some problems and I would like to understand if they are related to software or hardware.bviously there is the problem of the random reboot. I am pretty sure it is software related, hope Nokia will fix this soon.The other issue is a sound crackling when a sound start, it happen after a notification, playing games and playing music... apparently it doesn't affect Nokia music app.The problem is not the speaker because it happen also with streaming audio via a2dp.

Its still responsive, I can go to the start screen, etc.. but the phone call remains on top with the message "ENDING". After a couple of minutes the phone freezes completely and reboot.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI got a Nokia Lumia 1520 last week. Coming from an HTC One (M7), I am still impressed with the smoothness of Windows Phone OS -rarely I get any loading for an app. Moreover Metro has come a long way since the days of ZuneHD.
However I got a slight problem with the date/ time. Both the date and time gets reset back to 20 July 2013, 03:00 after the battery runs out or I try a soft reset.I already tried:
1) Setting the time on manual; it will reset back to manual time and the date/time above.
2) Setting the time on automatic, will still get reset back to manual and the wrong date/time.
3) Instead of setting the phone on 4G, I used the 3G and automatic. Same as above.
4) Setting the date manually and then to automatic, keeps the date/time I setup manually.
5) Turning the device off and on again (not soft reset with the volume key) will keep the date/ time regardless if it was set manually or manually and then automatically.
Now I really got to ask:Since the implementation of the "make our customers deaf"-volume bug in 12070 I was convinced that Nokia would almost straight away release a update addressing this.However: I Haven't seen any information that this is on the way soon.What's up? Where's the Volume bug fix? Anyone knowing anything about this.
If this is first in the "Tethering" release "Soon" (in Nokia terms "whenever") I would like to clarify that Tethering is important, but Volume bug fix is Critical!!

I have a Lumia 900 with Rogers (Canada), post update. I can't seem to hear well when earphones/earbuds are connected, even with the volume at 30/30 (I can hear a bit at 30/30 when there is no ambient noise, but can barely hear anything when I try to use the device at the gym). The spearkers are nice and loud when no earphones are connected. I've tried with 3 different earphones (including the ones that came with the phone) that all have the same problem. I didn't have this problem with my previous Samsung Focus.

So far, other than problems that will be corrected in the next update, I am experiencing a low volume, when talking with someone in the loud speaker. Even at 30/30, I have to become closer to the phone to ear what the other person is saying. The problem seems to be related to the calls in the using the loudspeaker only because when listening to music or videos the loudspeaker volume seems to be ok.

Now Nokia has finally released the much anticipated WP 7.8 update. Got it installed and to my surprise, the audio volume via "Nokia Monster purity headset" is too low. It feels that I am playing the song @ volume "15", although the volume is set to "30"
Nokia, have a second look at your firmware and release a patch to pump up the music volume. Not everyone wants to listen music at "Super Low Volume"..
i have a lumia 820 that i purchased 2 days ago. today, i opened the case to see where the microsd card would go and then put the back piece back on the phone.tonight, i wanted to watch a Internet video and when i pushed up on the volume button, it wouldn't go up, only down. the usual click was gone too. i opened the case to see if something got stuck and the little copper thingee is missing for the volume up button. i can a little bit of it sticking out from where it used to be?

It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.
I've been having problems with my Lumia 800's headset (the official one supplied with the phone). First of all the microphone stopped working then, whilst listening to audio, the volume turned itself down to zero, without any action on my part. If I unplug the headset I can turn the volume back up, but as soon as I plug the headset back in in turns itself down again.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am experimenting a very weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 900. Since last night the volume level during the phone call became suddenly very very low. I can hardly hear the other speaker. Apparently this is only happening during a phone call in normal mode. If I press the loudspeaker button, for example, I can hear the conversation perfectly as usual. Same using the earpiece: I can hear and talk without any problem. Moreover, the audio output appears to be OK outside the phone call itself: when using apps, music, games or any other feature except the phone call, I can't spot anything abnormal in the volume level, everything appears to work properly.
I would like to point out that:1) the volume level during the call is set to the max. level as usual (10/10)2) the master volume of the device, as set though both right-hand buttons, is set as usual to the max. level (30/30).3) I turned off and on the device at least five times since last night. Unfortunately the problem persists4) I made several tests by dialing different numbers, with no success: the volume level is still very very low during a call.5) I did not notice any other problem in the last days nor the device suffered any "catastrophic" event.In other words, I can only hear a speaker during a phone call either keeping the loudspeaker always on or using the earpiece. It's like my call volume were set to 1 or 2, while it is actually set to 10!I am really surprised, I bought my Lumia 900 end of June and I was very, very satisfied so far
I cannot change the music volume at all. If I try to change the volume with the buttons on the side of the phone as directed in the "how to" guide then nothing happens. The ringer volume changes, but the music does not.
